About: Dogs have been my quiet passion since childhood. I used to collect dog-themed postcards, books, and just about anything related to them. Calming dogs was even considered my “special skill” as a kid—and to this day, I still find joy in helping shy or anxious pups feel safe and loved. As a freelance designer who once dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, I bring that same care, sensitivity, and attention to detail into the way I care for animals. I naturally read each pet’s body language and adapt to their emotional needs—whether they need a slow, gentle approach or playful companionship. Even now, my husband and I sometimes visit service dogs at our local library to read books to them—just to spend time with dogs while we miss our own pup who lives with our parents on the mainland. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do—it’s something I truly love. I work from home on weekdays with a flexible schedule—typically between 8 AM and 4 PM—but I’m happy to adjust as needed to fit your pet’s care routine. I’m available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, or simply keeping your pet company. Evenings are also open, and my husband (who’s just as passionate about dogs!) often joins me in caring for them. Saturdays are also available, while Friday nights and Sundays may be limited due to church commitments. Above all, I’m committed to being present, responsive, and reliable—ensuring your pet always feels safe, loved, and well cared for. To start, I’m focusing on dog walking and drop-in visits outside the home. I live in a cozy two-bedroom condo with an ocean view, which is currently best suited for small to medium-sized dogs. As I gain more experience and build trust with each pet I care for, I plan to gradually offer in-home daycare as well. Our space is clean, quiet, and filled with warmth—perfect for dogs who enjoy a calm, cozy environment with lots of love. Whether I’m walking your dog or caring for them at home, safety, comfort, and trust are always my top priorities.

“Excellent care - so communicative, sent photos while I needed to be out, and my dog was returned to me so calm and happy. She was clearly well loved and cared for by Lovina and her partner. As a dog parent, I could not ask for any better! Highly recommend!”

About: I have a happy girlie herd of 5 guineapigs. I spend a lot of time caring for not only their nutrition and health but their enrichment, too! How does this apply to your dog, cat or misc cutie pie? I'm a diligent pet owner and pick up on pet behavior and cues quickly. In my home, their safety is my priority and no sweetheart with "please pet me!!" Eyes will be ignored. I'm much more patient with animals than I could ever want to be with people. Dog is a leash puller? Okay, long walks then and playtime to drain their hyper meter. I have had dogs in my home most of my life, cats and now just guineapigs. They have their own room and are safe for me to host your pet. I work from home doing the exciting (To me) work of accounting! I have a comfy couch and two hands to administer belly rubs, a quiet apartment with lots of natural light and valley breeze. I would take your dog out for a walk early morning, afternoon and before bed. If your dog loves to play with toys to tire themselves out, bring them because I will play with them until they are napping on my couch. As for leaving the home, I will try not to leave your pet for very long, only to get groceries or grab something from the store. If your dog has severe separation anxiety please let know. There may be ways to reduce their anxiety for short stays. I have guineapigs and by default I know how to pet proof an area because they chew on anything they can. For dogs and cats I just mimic this and anticipate what they might get into if I don't secure the area. My guineapigs have their own room and cage that for dogs bred originally for their prey drive will never interact with as I can shut their door. Your pets will never get food from me you haven't authorized to include accidentally dropping food. Im immune to begging puppy eyes for table scraps. On walks, I will pick less busy times and avoid other dogs. I wouldn't want an unfriendly neighbor dog to interact with your sweetie. Emergencies. I will call you, then your vet l, ER vet or feather and fur in Kailua a 24hr Vet ER. It's a 30 ish minute drive from my home I have made in the past for my own guineapigs health. Your pet is in safe hands.

About: My life is best when it's full of furry friends! I've grown up with a dog, and even when I came to college I quickly found families with dogs to hang out with being away from home! I've been trusted to dog sit, walk and take care of a variety of dogs of different sizes/needs throughout college, and I would love to do it more. I also have experience giving dogs medication/helping them swallow pills. Possibly like your dog, I love long walks, being outside and end-of-day cuddles! I am a current Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Hawaii Pacific University. I moved in August from Raleigh, North Carolina. I only go for in person lab about every 2 months which I am marking off my calendar, and on zoom working hard the rest of the time! That being said, I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule to stay with/check in on your pet frequently. Long walks with the company of a furry friend would really be an awesome way to take a break! I have always been an early riser and am prepared to get up early to attend to responsibilities with a dog! I usually get up at 6 or before no matter what the day entails, so I will not keep your dog waiting for breakfast, a walk and a potty break! Also I would like to include that my photo send percentage is low on Rover, because people usually prefer me texting them updates instead of sending them through the app- I can do whichever! I am very active and frequently go on long walks and can go out on adventures if your furry friend would like to join me! I would love to follow your routine schedule with the dog as well, and my schedule gives me the flexibility to do so!

“Family is awesome, they were able to take in our dog on short notice. Our girl Tilly came home tired, she was able to get all her energy out. We appreciate you guys!”

About: I have taken care of pets for friends and family and friends of friends. Just like when I teach in schools, I provide a safe and welcoming space. I have experience walking, hiking, feeding, giving baths, giving medicine, and teaching new tricks to dogs. I have cared for cats as well. In my adult years I've had three dogs of my own and two cats. I have used Rover before for my dog, and now would love to provide great service for other peoples' dogs and cats, like how Rover sitters did for my dog. I value communication and look forward to sending my clients photos frequently of all the fun their pet is having when being taken care of by me. I have a baby, so I am home a lot. My schedule is very flexible. I can provide lots of love, playtime, and walks for your pet. If your pet stays with me, your pet will receive frequent walks as exercise is important to me for the pet's health and my own. Lots of love, treats, and cuddles to give here!

“Charisse is a gem of a human💎. She is incredibly kind and great with our dog Monty 🐶. Her flexibility and clear communication have been very helpful in scheduling pick ups and drop offs. We would highly recommend Charisse as your future Rover!”

“I couldn't be more qualified nor happier to write a testimonial for my favorite dog sitter, Jodie Miller! Qualified because she's sat my Boston Terrier, Penny, for several years; happier b/c my Penny couldn't be happier than when she's with Jodie!! I love the thoughtful photos of Penny that Jodie sends while we're away, showing Penny taking walks & playing her favorite game of fetch! Above & beyond being a lovable and attentive sitter for your pet, Jodie is also a certified dog trainer; that means she's qualified to handle all sorts of situations involving canines. She couldn't have been more helpful in adding special food supplements to Penny's daily diet and even administered her eye drops multiple times a day. Whatever your pet's needs, Jodie can handle. Hannah B.
“I can't say enough about Hannah. Hannah is a very smart, sweet and conscientious person. She loves animals, people, and life. She has a positive outlook on life and is very spiritual in nature. Hannah's love for animals and care for them has brought her to be able to do something she enjoys while going to physical therapy school to obtain her doctorate degree. You can trust Hannah in your home and with your animal's while you are away. Additionally, Hannah is a devoted Christian and is always willing to help others in need. Her prices are more than fair and I wouldn't trust anyone else to love my animals while I am away.”

Waikiki dog parents share their Rover experiences
Daisy & her husband took such good care of my favorite girl, Stella! At first I was worried because I don’t often bring her to daycare, but after our first meeting, we really hit it off & the dogs did too. Daisy sent pictures and videos of their day together and were so, so happy to have met her!

Amy is a great dog sitter! She took care ok my dog, Kai! He immediately took a liking to Amy the moment we met her for the first time! I always trust my dog’s instincts and I already knew Kai was in great hands! I will definitely contact her again whenever I need a dog sitter 😄

Mahalo to Diana for watching our pup on a short notice. She was extremely accommodating., meet and greet plus the pick up and drop off was super easy. Appreciate her taking care of our pup and taking him to the park for some playtime with another doodle. Videos, photos and text message updates were highly appreciated.

Our dog Coco, is 15 years old. Recently, even a short time alone makes her anxious—she cries and becomes restless—so we realized we couldn’t leave her by herself and started looking for a dog sitter. Sunny was incredibly responsive and had such a warm and kind demeanor. From the very first day, Coco felt Sunny’s kindness and love, and she was completely relaxed, just as she is when she’s with us. We could see this through the photos and videos Sunny sent us, which gave us great peace of mind. Over the next few days, Coco continued going to Sunny’s home, and it was as if she had a second house—she felt completely at ease. While taking care of Coco, Sunny went above and beyond. She sent us multiple updates throughout the day with photos, videos, and messages, patiently hand-feeding Coco when she refused to eat, taking her for walks, and treating her like her own dog. We are beyond grateful! And without a doubt, we would love to ask Sunny for her help again in the future. Thank you Sunny!

Luna is always so well cared for by Calvin and his family. They truly love and treat her like they would their own! She came home happy and relaxed. I too feel well cared for - such considerate and thoughtful communication, pictures, and the assurance that my furbaby is totally safe and happy! 100% recommend!

I can not say enough great things about Luis and Christine!! They truly love animals and could not have provided a more welcoming and loving environment for my dog. Christine baked homemade, nutritional treats specific for my dog :) Luis and Christine not only took my pup on several walks throughout the day, but took her on adventures throughout the island! They really are not your average sitter, but so much more! I hope to book again as they really are amazing people.
