“Scott was so great with Kona and flexible with my schedule changes. He was patient, understanding, attentive, and informative of Kona’s time. He shared lots of pics, which made me feel at ease leaving Kona in his care. And he worked on some basic training with her. Scott and his family took such excellent care of her, couldn’t have asked for better.”
7. Charisse J.
“Charisse was so kind and loving with my young golden retriever, taking excellent care of him during his first visit with her when he was feeling a bit anxious that I left him. She also gave me some wonderful, professional tips about how to care for his long fur and possibly training him to be a service dog. I needed the time to get some errands done, being a single mum and caregiver to a child with a chronic illness. Thank you so much for your amazing help, Charisse! :)”

“Ayako has been taking great care of my dog for the past seven years. Zoe loves her and she doesn’t mind if I have to go away on business as long as Ayako comes to take care of her. Ayako is punctual and very responsible. I trust her to follow thru on instructions and takes good care of my home as well.”

12. Anna R.
“Anna’s retreat for dogs was the perfect place for my pup, he had plenty of friends to play with and the beachfront is literally her backyard so my pup got to go swimming. She sent me videos and pictures and updated me on how he was doing. I also got to see the other dogs she was watching and they all looked well taken care of. When it was time to pick my dog up, my pup did not want to leave and was jumping up and down because he really enjoyed Anna’s company and her retreat for dogs. I will definitely use her service again and would recommend her to everyone.”

About: For years I walked and boarded dogs at my home for one of the big local pet care companies whose name says it all, etc. I love working with dogs, especially large breed, athletic, and "challenged" dogs. In decent shape for my age and still enjoy running, hiking, swimming, playing, whatever it takes to keep dogs fit and happy. I am currently between jobs and have much flexibility in scheduling dog walks and activities. I myself walk, hike, or run daily and dog walking fits in nicely with my daily routine. The hours of 8 AM to 9 PM are preferred, but exceptions can be made. I have a house in Kaimuki with a small fenced grassy area (not quite a yard) that is shady much of the day. The small fenced grassy area will not securely contain medium and large breed dogs, so they will only be let out into the area on leash. Boarding dogs will spend the majority of their time with me inside and have the run of my house. My house has one major rule for dogs: NO GOING ON FURNITURE (beds and sofas) and I will noot accept dogs that cannot stay off of the furniture. I generally take dogs for outside breaks every 3 - 4 hours (1 block stretches) except overnight. I enjoy teaching dogs how to catch frisbee and/or play fetch, so let me know if you want that.
18. Jennilyn F.
“Jennilyn is an excellent person to work with. She regularly walks our dog which is a Golden Retreiver. Always on time with a smile! Would highly recommend Jennilyn!”
19. Sara V.
“Bella absolutely loved Sara, Mele, (her dog) and her new doggy friends for the day. At home, she’s surrounded by her cat’s siblings so it was nice for her to socialize with other dogs. Sara is very accommodating and easy going. Her backyard is fenced in so Bella can explore and the dogs can chase and play. She takes the dogs on a hike, sends updated pics and videos of Bella throughout the day. For me, it is a peace of mind that my girl is in good hands with a person that genuinely cares for her like it was her own.”
20. Olivia J.
“Olivia is amazing! She’s super nice and my dog loved her immediately. She’s caring and flexible, and sent me pictures and updates throughout the day. Definitely recommended ☺️”
