Drop off Time: ** For new clients, please drop off dogs prior to 5pm to allow pet time to settle in before night time. I work from home doing basic remote accounting work while I finish my online courses to pursue my CPA. I am home most of the time aside from stepping out to grocery shop and enjoy beautiful hawaii here and there. It is important that all dogs in my care are crate trained for their safety when I must make short trips out, lasting no longer than 3 hours, averaging 2 hours. (no dog will be crated that has not been crate trained. Dogs not showing any signs of destructive separation anxiety, such as scratching at doors, will not need to be crate trained. Dogs can be expected to be walked at 6am for 30 to 45 minutes depending on how much they like to sniff around. Then another potty break at 10am, 2pm another longer walk at 5:30pm and a final potty break between 8-9pm before bed. I always make sure dogs pee and poop the amount of times is normal for them and keep taking them outside until they go successfully. Night time is usually 9pm-10pm. Dogs that need extra toy play time get to play, fresh water ready for the night.

Safety, trust & environment
For safety, my business is insured so all pets in my care are covered in any emergencies. The main area dogs will be at is in the living room safe from all things they may be tempted to chew on, knock over or swallow. There is lots of natural light and fresh pacific breeze coming off the mountains into my apartment that dogs love to sploot out on cool tile by the screen doors. Makes for excellent photos! Leashes and harnesses: I inspect all equipment clients provide as pet safety on walks is my top priority. Please insure that you provide safe collars, harnesses and leashes that will ensure your dog will be safe on walks. This means that they cannot slip out of their harness or collar and run off. On Walks: Regardless of your dog's past experiences with other dogs, I will refrain from allowing your dog interact with any dogs unless specifically authorized. I also watch for dogs sniffing around for dangerous "treats" and keep provided treats for if a dog grabs something they are not suppose to. Dogs will never be off leash in my care for any moment of time. This is to keep my insurance on them intact and will make sure that they safe.

Information Alexandra W. would like to know about your pet
**Advocate for your pet! Only you can provide a voice for them to ensure the best care is given to them!** 1: Does your dog have separation anxiety? (Meaning, do they bark, whine, howl, pant heavily, scratch doors, pace back and forth, refuse to eat or go potty) If no, has your dog ever been boarded before in an unfamiliar home? How was their reaction? Why does this matter? Dogs need to be crate trained in my home to ensure safety and comfort for the short times I step out for food or appointments. I am unable to care for dogs that would be highly distressed if separated from their owners.*Repeat clients who's dogs do not have separation anxiety may forgo crates if necessary. 2: Feeding Instructions, medications, vitamins, common behaviors and vet information. Provide it all! More information is better. 3. Please fill out pet profiles, and talk with me about major and or minor health concerns your pet has. Allergies, ear infections, digestive issues. I will keep you informed on those specific issues during their stay.
A typical day
Aside from the 4 walks (morning and evening long walks, 2 afternoon potty breaks) Dogs that love to play with toys will get short bursts of playtime throughout the day. Very easy to toss a ball or play tug of war on breaks between work tasks. Dogs that love car rides are welcome to join me on a fun drive-through trip. For longer stays, dog friendly on leash beaches are also an option! Please let me know! I also like to encourage dog zoomies, and I do have an IPad if they like pet Youtube! Longer stays short hikes are an option as well.

Pet care experience
What makes me stand out is that my business is insured for the safety and health of all pets in my care. I stay in frequent communication with pet owners to ensure that their beloved pet is safe, comfortable and shown the same love and care as they are accustomed to. I have cared for senior dogs and pay close attention to any behaviors or signs of distress that deviate from what their owners say is their norm. I have a car and have experience with vet er for my own guineapigs and am able to take immediate steps to get pets any vet care they need. I have taken care of dogs, cats and guineapigs.

Reviews

Mako's 2nd time staying with Alex (5nights 6days) went so well! He seemed to have enjoyed the stay and came back home so spoiled wanting attention from all the family members at all times - really made us happy to know that Alex had given so much love and attention he needed while he was with her. We are so glad that we have found her and would recommend her to anyone seeking for a very reliable pet sitter.

Alexandra took good care of our dog! She walks and plays with our dogs. She is very loving! She takes time to send pictures and videos and keep us updated! Thank you very much!

Alexandra was the best! I so appreciate her accommodating me at the last minute to watch my two girls for the night. She was so thorough from start to finish, explaining her process, and taking the time to call and get to know my dogs before accepting my request. I really appreciate her professional approach to pet sitting as well as her constant communication and updates. Even though she only watch my dogs for one night, she still kept me updated with photos and videos. I would not hesitate to book again.

Alexandra takes excellent care of my Tobey. She sends regular updates, photos, and videos. I am using some of the feedback she gave me. I recommend her and would have him stay with her again.
