She is able to execute little details that help make our pup comfy and warm at their home. Lauren has also dealt with our pup starting her first cycle while we were away! She was soooooo patient to help our pup be safe and clean during her stay and managed to make it work even though our pup did not like diapers! Lauren sent so many updates throughout the stay that made us feel so happy that our pup was enjoying and having the time of her life! We can’t forget to mention their wonderful family of boys that also play with our pup and teach her new tricks. They are so loving and respectful of the dogs! About: My husband and I have always cared for and owned dogs, but we currently don’t have one and are missing our fur friends! I recently moved from England to Hawaii to join my husband here for work, and before welcoming a dog of our own, we’d love to spend time caring for yours! I will be the primary caregiver, as I work fully from home. Back in England, I looked after my mom’s dog almost every day for the past six years whenever I wasn’t working at the hospital, as I worked from home a lot too. I also regularly cared for friends’ and family’s dogs for overnight stays, weekends and holidays. In fact, I became the go-to dog sitter in our little English village! As a healthcare professional, I understand the importance of responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail. I (Carmen) will be the primary caregiver, with Cam (husband) home in the evenings for cuddles and post-dinner beach walks with us. I currently work from home, part-time as a UK-registered Dietitian. I’d love a fur colleague to keep me company! I walk, run or swim at the beach every morning or lunchtime and evenings too, and Kalama Beach is only a 10 minute walk from our house. My husband who is as pup-obsessed as me works with the military (he’s a ex-marine officer) so he’s not around as much but he would absolutely love doggy kisses to welcome him home after work. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are our top priorities. We have a large shared yard that is fully enclosed, with two access points that we securely block off whenever a dog is outside, so they can enjoy the space safely under our supervision. We share the yard with three lovely neighboring couples who are also dog lovers, creating a friendly and welcoming environment. Our home is a spacious two-story, three-bedroom house with plenty of room for your pup to relax. After beach adventures or muddy walks, we even have two bathtub showers ready for rinsing off sandy paws and giving your dog a little spa treatment! We’ll follow your dog’s usual routine, provide lots of love and attention, and ensure they’re always supervised and cared for as if they were our own.

About: Lifelong dog lover with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, including large breeds. I recently lost a beloved family dog in Japan, which deepened my appreciation for the importance of compassionate, attentive care for animals. Although I do not currently have a pet of my own, I stay closely connected to animals through volunteering at the humane society, where I help care for and socialize dogs of different temperaments and needs. I am active, reliable, and very attentive to each animal’s individual personality and routine. I enjoy providing safe, loving care, regular exercise, and meaningful companionship tailored to each dog’s needs—whether that means calm indoor time, structured walks, or active outdoor time for more energetic dogs. I work mostly remotely, so I’m home the majority of the day and can provide consistent care and attention. I do have occasional appointments, but I plan my schedule to ensure pets are always checked on and cared for regularly. I’m also very active and enjoy hiking and outdoor time, so I’m happy to include pets who enjoy walks, exercise, and being out and about. I provide attentive, reliable care tailored to each pet’s needs and routine. I follow all owner instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care or medications. In the home, I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and not alone for long periods, giving them consistent companionship and supervision. About: Have had dogs most of my life. We have a safe and comfortable space for dogs to run around in. I also take morning and evening walks to keep them busy. Flexible with our schedule! I am home all day so will be with your pup the entire duration of the stay. Any nuances in schedule will be reflected on the calendar. I have an acre fenced yard that is well maintained and all grass. Plenty of activities and toys to keep them busy. I am only looking to house one dog at a time.

About: Aloha! Official animal lover here, who’s had and taken care of various types of pets from Tarantulas, Turtles, Hamsters, Gerbils, Chameleons, parakeets, frogs, to rabbits, fish, cats and dogs! I would love to watch your furbaby and take great care of her/him! I’m experienced with caring for dogs of all stages, big or small. I like to exercise, so your dog will get plenty of exercise (walk or run) with me:) I also speak Japanese and Spanish! I do not work, but do travel often to mainland as I have elderly parents. So when I’m on island I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies. My husband works from home, and we recently bought a spacious single-family home with a yard and large lanai, so your dogs can enjoy hanging out inside or outside.

About: This is a very happy and loving home, and I have years of experience with animals and pet sitting. I have been part of a service dog organization for 8 years as a volunteer puppy raiser and now have a trained service dog who visits with me at Hospice, schools, etc. I also volunteered with Therapeutic horses and have been pet sitting around the world with TrustedHousesitters. About: After the death of our beloved dog, our family decided to take a break from dog ownership to heal and rest a bit. I have had dogs (usually more than 1 at a time) my whole life! Pet sitting is my way of loving on dogs during this busy stage of life when I cannot have my own. I would love to shower your dog with lots of love and attention! We do have a kitten in our home. She has adjusted very well to having dogs around. We are a homeschool family and are at home or near home most every day. I would never have to leave your pet for any extended period of time.
