About: My family got our first dog when I was 9 years old. Since then, I don't think I've ever not had pets in my life. I've had dogs, cats, and bearded dragons. I come from a long line of animal lovers, and I consider my pets to be part of the family - so they live good and happy lives. I've also had family and friends rely on me many times to take care of their pets while they were out of town. I'm a teacher, so come the summer (when everyone goes on vacation), my days are wide open! During the school year, weekends are the best bet for house-sitting, but I've got more flexibility for dog walking etc. First step is building trust. I want your pet(s) to feel comfortable around me, and part of that is gauging how they behave around me. If they want love and attention, I'm more than happy to give it! If they need more time and distance, that's okay too. I'm someone who wants to make sure that you AND your pet are happy, so whatever you need me to do is what I'll do. Lots of play? Can do! Frequent walks or bathroom breaks? Not a problem! Just hang out so they're not alone? Absolutely. Always lock the door before leaving the house. I’m a 2nd black belt in Taekwondo, blue belt in BJJ, and have practiced Muay Thai and Judo, and am a decorated wrestler. If it's a big dog I am sitting and anything happens we will become a tag team in perfect sync. The 2nd thing is organization and cleanliness. I despise clutter, hate leaving a mess.
