About: My family has had at least one dog in our house since I was born. Everybody in my family has dogs. I have a few family members that rely on me to help them with their dogs when they need it. Everyone in my family treats their pets like they are humans and I do just the same! I am currently in between jobs so I’m available pretty much whenever. I do have my own dog at home so I prefer to not stay somewhere for a long, extended period of time. I am pretty flexible with that though so just ask me and I’ll let you know if it’s doable! I have a fenced in yard. I have a 14 year old rescue that just mainly stays to herself. There is a 1 year old Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix now living here as well, under the care of someone else that’s not me, however she is very rambunctious with other dogs. I do not mind walking them around the neighborhood. In my family, we treat our dogs like they are humans and they are like our children!

About: Animals but doggies in general have always held a special place in my heart since a young age. As a pet owner and prior military service member, I know how much it takes to leave your baby in someone else’s care. I have experience caring for my own pups as well as helping friends and family members with their babies. So Monday - Sunday I’m available to take care of your fur baby. I currently live in a gated apartment complex with plenty of space towards the back. So they will have more than enough space to run around and get some playtime in. Also as far as walks I live right behind a levee and that’s where they will get their walks in :)

There's no setting for that weight on Rover. (Unless your pet is an elder and/or they're very mellow) <--- My name is Melissa (aka. "Missy"). You can book your pet for a caring, one hour, drop-in visit to your home, a few overnight visits, or an extended stay at my house. Do you need help at the last minute ... ? No problem. I'm happy to provide pet transportation, if needed. I can also help you fulfill the rules & requirements at a "Pet-Friendly" NOLa hotel, when the rules say, “you cannot leave your pet in the hotel room alone”. I work from home as a bookkeeper & tax consultant - This means your precious pet will NEVER be left alone for long hours, whenever they're in my care. I will be at your pet's side, while you take care of business or if you have a fun get-away planned. I’m very comfortable with many different animals & dog breeds, including elderly dogs that need a mellow, safe space with calm, gentle care. I pay close attention to what your dog likes & dis-likes, along with their personality quirks & individual needs. I enjoy caring for all animals, both young & old. I do not accept more than 2-3 dogs at a time. ((I USUALLY only schedule ONE family's pet(s) at the same time, especially if there’s a new dog client)). I always put in a great deal of consideration, before scheduling more than one family's pet at the same time. My home is very spacious, clean, well-organized & safe. I have a large, gated/enclosed & secure, backyard. The dogs that stay with me are ALWAYS supervised. My eyes will be on your pet constantly, while we play at your home or mine, both inside & outside. Allow me to love & care for your precious pet, while you take care of you. Let's discuss your needs. I do offer one free meet & greet. Other than dogs, I also have experience caring for: Cats, Birds, Bunnies, Turtles, Lizards, Snakes, Hamsters, Fish, Frogs, Chickens & Plants. Most of my pet guests are small, therefore any extra frisky, playful pet, over 30 pounds may cause physical harm, even if they are just playing. I'd rather not take that chance. I work from home as a bookkeeper & tax consultant. I’m rarely away from the house for more than 2-3 hours. I will always keep my eyes on your pet, even when the pet is roaming around the backyard. My backyard has a 9 ft. high, wooden fence. I also have a double gated entry, front-yard patio. I can also provide crates if needed. My 20 pound dog is 8yrs. old and he is very mellow & well behaved. He always welcomes another dog friend, anytime. We have a trusted routine for introducing new pet guests.

I have over 4 years of experience caring for animals and officially began offering pet-sitting services through Rover this summer. About: I’ve had pets my whole life growing up! I got my first on cat (Katniss) as a freshman in college, and she is now 12 years old and thriving well! I got my first dog (Albus) the next year and he is a 106 pounds black lab who is also doing very well. I am a teacher so I am off from June-July 20 all day, every day. I can show up on short notice and stay for extended periods if needed! My schedule for the next 2 months is extremely flexible, and I’m willing to work with your schedule as well! I have a dog and a cat of my own, so I’m very experienced caring for multiple pets in a home environment. I have a condo in Metairie a block from the levee where I can take a dog on a good walk, and my parents house in mandeville with a fenced yard where pets can safely play and get fresh air. I can easily crate your dog or cat if needed, follow any specific feeding, medication, or routine instructions, and provide plenty of love, attention, and enrichment. Whether the service is at my home or yours, my goal is always to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away.

About: I’ve taken care of pets my entire adulthood. Animals are angels on earth and truly part of what makes life so special. I don’t trust just anyone with my own fur baby, so I understand how stressful it can be to find someone to care for them when you need to travel or work extended hours. My entire family has dogs and I occasionally pet sit for relatives or friends who need it, so I figured I could do that more consistently to help others as well. I am between jobs and exploring what comes next, so I’m available all the time to love and care for your pups while you are at work or on vacation. I have a fenced backyard that pups can run around in. I am liberal with giving treats, but will absolutely respect and follow what your dog’s feeding and treat needs are. I love engaging with pups and learning their personalities, so they won’t be ignored in any way while they are with me. Senior dogs are welcome.

About: Throughout my life I have pet sat dogs, cats, rats, bunnies, and reptiles such as bearded dragons and currently work at a doggy daycare/vet. Not only do I have experience caring for animals in a home but I also have experience caring for animals at work and feeding and bathing/exercising them. I am a pretty busy gal but I still have time for your pets! I work Sunday through Monday either 8:30-5, 7:30-4 or 7-3:30. Im off on Feidays and Saturdays. We have plenty of toys that we play with them with, I just bought my cat a new stainless steel water bowl bc I found that it’s better for their skin health, treats of course!, and a fenced back yard with plenty of space for our pitbull to get her zoomies out!

About: I’ve worked in the pet industry for several years now. I am a manager at a doggy daycare/boarding facility/grooming salon. I am knowledgeable about doggy behavior and body language. I can administer medication, with the exception of epidermal/needle syringes. I love being around dogs and getting to know their quirks and personalities. I’d be honored to take care of your pups! I am currently working full time and am available usually betweem 11am and noon on my lunch break. I am usually off of work by 2pm. I am able to host pets at my home as long as they do not have extreme cat aggression. Regardless I will limit interactions between your pet and my cat. When watching your pets at your home, I will make sure to keep my eyes and attention on them, and keep a look out for hazards.
