“Lori was prompt, and very communicative! She was so great meeting my timid little Shelby, and gave me great insight and resources for some future dog training. I would highly suggest her for anything in the future with people who are looking for a kind and communicative dog walker.”

About: I have pet sat cats and dogs (as well as various reptiles and birds) of all different ages. I have 4 cats and a snake of my own with one cat that takes daily medication. I have fostered cats and assisted in senior pet care (dogs and cats). I also trained 2 of my cats and when we had dogs, I also trained them. I am very experienced with administering medication and caring for pets of different ages! I am happy to take care of your other pets (reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish, and rodents) in addition to your cats and/or dogs:) Three of my cats are fed twice a day, and my elderly cat gets 4 small meals. I work from home so am able to give my cats plenty of attention. I am fairly flexible with my routine and can easily check in on your pet(s) and walk them 2-3 times a day except on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Those days I have to be physically at my job so I can only check on your pet(s) in the mornings before 11am and afternoons after 4pm. My cats are treated as equal family members and have a wide range of enrichment within our house: cat trees, toys, a screened in porch, and forage puzzles. Our elderly cat is on daily medication and is showered with compliments (she is a queen and she knows it!) . I spend time every day playing with all of my cats and snuggling them as much as they like. I am incredibly gentle with animals and respect their space. I try my best to maintain a clean, stress-free environment at home and in the homes I pet sit for. I know how stressful it can be for a pet to meet someone new, so I always move at their speed and respect their comfort. Your pet's safety and trust are a top priority, and I will treat them with the care I give my own cats.

I’m reliable, communicative, and detail oriented, making sure your pet stays on their routine and feels comfortable at home. I provide updates, follow instructions closely, and prioritize your pet’s safety and well being at all times. I’m currently a nursing student working part time, but I have a flexible schedule and make time for pet care. With summer break coming up, I’ll have significantly more availability and flexibility throughout the week. I’m available for walks, drop ins, and house sitting. I can accommodate more daytime care during the summer. I’m reliable with scheduling and make sure your pet gets the time, attention, and consistency they need. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for every pet. I have experience caring for dogs and understand the importance of proper introductions, routines, and supervision. I will always follow your pet’s routine closely. In a client’s home, I’m respectful, attentive, and make sure your pet feels secure and cared for while you’re away.

“Lindsey went above and beyond to take care of Wells while I was out of town. She is a total rockstar. I cannot recommend Lindsey enough. Thank you so so much!!!”

About: My family has had at least one dog in our house since I was born. Everybody in my family has dogs. I have a few family members that rely on me to help them with their dogs when they need it. Everyone in my family treats their pets like they are humans and I do just the same! I am currently in between jobs so I’m available pretty much whenever. I do have my own dog at home so I prefer to not stay somewhere for a long, extended period of time. I am pretty flexible with that though so just ask me and I’ll let you know if it’s doable! I have a fenced in yard. I have a 14 year old rescue that just mainly stays to herself. There is a 1 year old Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix now living here as well, under the care of someone else that’s not me, however she is very rambunctious with other dogs. I do not mind walking them around the neighborhood. In my family, we treat our dogs like they are humans and they are like our children!
About: I’ve spent my whole life taking care of my dogs. Throughout college I had many roommates with cats and grew a love for them as well. Growing up I used to make treats for animal shelters and had a dream of being a vet. Since I’ve realized how much of a dedication vet school is, this seems like a fun way to incorporate my love for animals into something part time. :) I love cardio and am always down for a morning, afternoon, and even night runs. I love to go to scenic spots and enjoy being outside. I am in between jobs right now, so I have open availability for any pet needs! I have a fenced in yard and one 14 year old West Highland Terrier. She is extremely spoiled, but loves new friends. We love to play fetch and play in the yard. The extra baths are worth our fun times outside together lol.
About: I have always lived with dogs since I was a small child. The last 8 years I have been house/dog sitting for a retired couple with multiple dogs. This past May I lost my 16 year old rat terrier- broke my heart. Shortly after a relative asked me to keep his chocolate lab for a week and I loved it. I miss having a dog at the house! I work full time currently from home until COVID pandemic is over. My office is 10 minutes away from home- lunch visits to the house would be made on days needed. I own my own home with a fenced in yard next door to a empty lot. I have no children do it would be just me at the house.

About: Ive had dogs my entire life growing up. Ive been around dogs of all sizes and live playing around! Im not afraid to take on any challenge and can have fun with all dogs! I do have another job but this isn’t just a job, its enjoyment! Im always here to help whenever available and will be open about scheduling and any conflicts that may arise. I always play safe and sound making sure my surroundings dont get damaged. I makes sure there is nothing that can cause pain to the animals and make sure there are no choking hazards.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for years, starting as a side hustle during PT school and currently for friends and family while I’m studying for my boards exam. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels, and I bring a calm, patient approach to every pup I meet. With my physical therapy background, I’m especially attentive to mobility, comfort, and safe handling, which helps senior dogs and anxious pups feel at ease. Whether we’re playing, walking, or relaxing, your dog gets warm, reliable care you can trust. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I study during the day on weekdays, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks, drop‑ins, and time with your pup. On weekends, I work PRN at a hospital on Sunday mornings, but still keep space open for afternoon or evening visits. I love having dogs woven into my week — it’s a fun, grounding break from studying and a chance to bring some joy and movement into my day. Your pet gets reliable attention, consistent care, and a calm, playful presence whenever they’re with me. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine consistent and stress‑free. I follow your feeding schedule, walk times, and any house rules so you and your pet feel completely at ease. I give plenty of playtime, attention, and companionship, and I always make sure water bowls stay full, any messes are cleaned up, and your home is well respected.
About: I’ve had dogs and cats in my life since I was a kid, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. One thing that sets me apart is my experience with senior and younger pets. I cared for my own dog in her later years when she developed back leg problems. I helped her move around the house, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her lots of love and patience every day. I additionally took care of my other dog in her early months waking up multiple times nightly to calm her down. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy or a senior pet needing extra care, I’m confident in handling all kinds of needs. I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week, so I’m able to care for pets whenever needed. Pet care easily fits my routine, and I’m happy to adjust based on your pets specific needs and schedule.your pets comfort and routine will always come first. I believe pets are most comfortable and relaxed in their own home, which is why I only offer care in the clients space. I treat every home and pet with the same respect and care I would expect in return. Your pets safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities.

About: Former Registered Nurse, forever animal lover! I truly enjoy taking care of animals and people. I have had dogs all my life, my mom even had 6 dachshunds at one time in our lives! She currently has three large Bernedoodles that I house sit and walk for her when she needs. I have two senior Labrador Retrievers that live with my dad and his Border collie, who I house sit, walk, and eternally throw a ball to when he needs. I also occasionally baby sit my sister’s havanese and brother’s dachshunds. So I guess you could say I have experience with dogs big and small and all ages. I currently teach motorcycle safety classes at NOLA Riding Academy on weekends so I’m available most weekdays. I currently teach motorcycle safety classes at NOLA Riding Academy on weekends so I am available most weekdays and some weekends. I live in Elmwood/River Ridge area. I have experience walking a 95lb chill bernedoodle, an excited 78lb bernedoodle, an incredibly energetic 35lb border collie, a 10lb curious dachshund, and a 6lb havanese that just wants to do her business and get back inside. After some treat bribing I can get my mom’s timid 36lb bernedoodle to go on a walk and once she’s out she loves it! I can throw the ball for hours to my dad’s never tired border collie and can get him back into his crate when it’s time. I pet my attention loving yellow lab until I collect a hairball the size of him.
About: I’ve taken care of pets my entire adulthood. Animals are angels on earth and truly part of what makes life so special. I don’t trust just anyone with my own fur baby, so I understand how stressful it can be to find someone to care for them when you need to travel or work extended hours. My entire family has dogs and I occasionally pet sit for relatives or friends who need it, so I figured I could do that more consistently to help others as well. I am between jobs and exploring what comes next, so I’m available all the time to love and care for your pups while you are at work or on vacation. I have a fenced backyard that pups can run around in. I am liberal with giving treats, but will absolutely respect and follow what your dog’s feeding and treat needs are. I love engaging with pups and learning their personalities, so they won’t be ignored in any way while they are with me. Senior dogs are welcome.
About: I have grown up with pets since I was a child and currently have 2x 50 pounders. I have been house sitting and dog walking for neighbors and family friends for over 10 years, and been on pet care platforms for 5+ years. Happy to lend an extra hand where needed! Summer break! Loads of free time on my hands. Hospitality professional taking the month of July off and able to offer my services in Metairie, Kenner, New Orleans I pay lots of attention to pets when on the clock and at home. I also have reliable transportation. I can provide drop in, walking, and overnight stays for the next few weeks
About: ---> Sorry, I do NOT accept most spunky, young dogs Over 30 pounds. Most of the small pets I care for cannot physically handle playing with most dogs over 30 pounds. There's no setting for that weight on Rover. (Unless your pet is an elder and/or they're very mellow) <--- My name is Melissa (aka. "Missy"). I'd like to care for your precious pet the next time you need some help. Do you have somewhere to go, or something to do? Let me help you, at your place or mine!?! You can book your pet for a caring, one hour, drop-in visit to your home, a few overnight visits, or an extended stay at my house. Do you need help at the last minute ... ? No problem. I'm happy to provide pet transportation, if needed. I can also help you fulfill the rules & requirements at a "Pet-Friendly" NOLa hotel, when the rules say, “you cannot leave your pet in the hotel room alone”. I work from home as a bookkeeper & tax consultant - This means your precious pet will NEVER be left alone for long hours, whenever they're in my care. I will be at your pet's side, while you take care of business or if you have a fun get-away planned. I’m very comfortable with many different animals & dog breeds, including elderly dogs that need a mellow, safe space with calm, gentle care. I pay close attention to what your dog likes & dis-likes, along with their personality quirks & individual needs. I enjoy caring for all animals, both young & old. I do not accept more than 2-3 dogs at a time. ((I USUALLY only schedule ONE family's pet(s) at the same time, especially if there’s a new dog client)). I always put in a great deal of consideration, before scheduling more than one family's pet at the same time. My home is very spacious, clean, well-organized & safe. I have a large, gated/enclosed & secure, backyard. The dogs that stay with me are ALWAYS supervised. My eyes will be on your pet constantly, while we play at your home or mine, both inside & outside. Allow me to love & care for your precious pet, while you take care of you. Let's discuss your needs. I do offer one free meet & greet. Other than dogs, I also have experience caring for: Cats, Birds, Bunnies, Turtles, Lizards, Snakes, Hamsters, Fish, Frogs, Chickens & Plants. Most of my pet guests are small, therefore any extra frisky, playful pet, over 30 pounds may cause physical harm, even if they are just playing. I'd rather not take that chance. I work from home as a bookkeeper & tax consultant. I’m rarely away from the house for more than 2-3 hours. I will always keep my eyes on your pet, even when the pet is roaming around the backyard. My backyard has a 9 ft. high, wooden fence. I also have a double gated entry, front-yard patio. I can also provide crates if needed. My 20 pound dog is 8yrs. old and he is very mellow & well behaved. He always welcomes another dog friend, anytime. We have a trusted routine for introducing new pet guests.
About: Over the past year and a half, I’ve fostered multiple dogs and cats through Palm Beach Animal Care and Control and Peggy Adams, along with participating in many doggy day out programs. This has given me hands-on experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I’ve grown up around animals my whole life, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. Pet care fits really well into my daily routine. I’m flexible and able to plan my schedule around walks, feedings, and check-ins. I’m used to caring for animals consistently from my experience fostering and living with pets, so making time for them is something I prioritize. Whether it’s early mornings, afternoons, or evenings, I’m reliable and make sure every pet gets the attention and care they need. I prioritize safety and comfort above everything. I always follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, and any specific instructions you provide. I keep a clean and secure environment, stay attentive to their behavior, and make sure they feel calm and safe at all times. I’m respectful of your home and will keep you updated so you always know your pet is in good hands.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
