I work as a childcare professional with a flexible rotating schedule. I typically work 3 shifts per week (8am-4pm, 4pm-12am, 12am-8am) and I receive my schedule two weeks in advance, allowing me to plan pet visits and walks easily for clients who book at least a week ahead. It is a safe serene street that would allow me to social your dog with the friendly neighbors and their pets as well. There is very little traffic that comes through and cars always drive very slowly due to the high volume families with children and pets. I live with my wife, 7 year old son, and my two parents who have two dogs of their own. We are all life long pet owners and treat them the same as any person who lives here........who am i kidding, our pets are treated like royalty in this household and they know it!🤣🐶🐱🐰🐭❤️

About: Throughout my life, we've always had dogs in the house and, as I’ve gotten older, there was definitely a period where it seemed more like a zoo than a human household with all of our rescues. When I was in high school, I fell in love with training dogs and really never wanted to do anything else. Over the years, I’ve made every effort to immerse myself in the field through work at Petco and multiple daycares, as a volunteer at Kent Animal Shelter, as a student with the Animal Behavior College, becoming a CPDT, opening my own business, and tentatively dipping my toes into the grooming aspect of it all as well. Hopefully, as time goes on, I can continue to pursue my dog training career as a multifaceted professional and expand more fully into my own business. I run my own multifaceted pet services business offering a variety of options from training and boarding to walking and photography, so my whole day circulates around pet-related bookings and activities. I live on half an acre of land with a fully fenced in yard, separate attached dog run, and plenty of space to run! We do a perimeter check twice daily to make sure the fencing is secure and the grounds are meeting our standards of cleanliness. I can easily crate dogs if that’s what their paw-rents request, but also have no problem allowing them to roam through the house if that’s what they’re accustomed to. I do have a few pups of my own, but they’re the friendliest guys you’ll ever meet — one is actually a quadriplegic! Everyone is in their own space while eating and stay separated for about an hour following meals to allow food to digest. Let me know if there are any other accommodations your pet needs!

About: Caring for pets is my full-time focus, so my schedule is flexible and I’m available whenever your pet needs me. I love long walks, so your pup will get plenty of exercise, fresh air, and time to sniff around. I also have two dogs of my own, Koa (a Lab/Terrier mix) and Lilo (a Pitbull), so I’m used to a house that runs on walk schedules and dinner bowls. Pet care is my full-time focus. About: Ever since my time of being introduced to them, I have always loved dogs. My uncle at one point owned a Husky and a Chihuahua and I would always match their energy and enthusiasm. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have rescued and cared for several over the years. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy and take seriously. I have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, anxious dogs, and pets with medical needs, including administering oral medications and injections. She’s a marine biologist and she's worked in animal hospitals, farms, and wildlife rehabilitation centers, adding another layer of knowledge and experience to the care we provide. I believe every dog is unique, so I take the time to understand their personality, routine, preferences, and any special needs to help them feel comfortable and at home. I’m an Athletic Trainer and have Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off. My wife has a flexible work schedule and is home most of the time. Between the two of us, someone is almost always home, so dogs are rarely left alone for more than two hours. Because I only accept a limited number of dogs at a time, each guest receives plenty of individualized attention, playtime, affection, and care throughout the day. My home is quiet, fully fenced, and designed to help dogs feel safe and comfortable. There are no children or resident pets, allowing me to provide a calm environment and plenty of one-on-one attention. Dogs are welcome on the furniture, have clean dog beds throughout the house, and can even sleep with us if that’s what they’re used to at home. I send daily photo and video updates, and you’re always welcome to message me anytime. Several veterinary hospitals and clinics are within a 5-minute drive if veterinary care is ever needed.

About: Hello! Long walks/hikes, games of fetch in the dog parks, belly rubs and all will be provided. I'm a long time caretaker for children as well, so I guarantee your animal is left with a responsible and caring person. About: I've grown up with German Shepherds and was always around my cousin's golden doodles. I have a natural & instant rapport with dogs. I've cared for my cousin's dog while they were away for two weeks in Europe. One of my favorite things to do is to walk my dog on the beach & watch her have the time of her life! I am available for drop in visits & dog walks. I am in grad school and attend class remotely every other week, so I am pretty much available at any time of day. I am available to care for pets in my client's homes. In regard to what my visit routine looks like when I've cared for my friend's dogs: I let the pup out to go to the bathroom, feed the pup and give water, and then go for a walk. Of course, depending upon the instructions my client gives me, I act accordingly.

“Wow. We hired Christina to care for our 135lb Bernese Mountain Dog, Otis, while we vacationed in Westhampton for a week. And what a godsend to have found her! Amazing with Otis, incredibly flexible in terms of hours and availability, and just such a wonderful, genuinely caring sitter and person. Otis is just a year old, never been apart from us, and so it was critical that he feel comfortable and be well cared for while we took time away for daily lunches and dinners. Each day, when Christina arrived, Otis went nuts. It was just so clear how much he liked her and looked forward to his time with her. And, of course, she sent regular updates, including photos, so we were always in the loop and reassured about how he was doing. Our whole family, including both our kids, were sad for the vacation to end, in part because it meant not seeing Christina again! Really can't believe how fortunate we were to have connected with and hired her on Rover and, if we ever make our way back to Westhampton and need care for Otis, we'll definitely be hitting her up. About: I’ve had a dog pretty much my whole life, so I’m very used to taking care of them and being around them every day. I also spend a lot of time around my girlfriend’s cat and help take care of her, so I’m comfortable with both dogs and cats. I genuinely love animals and I’m someone you can trust to make sure your pet is well taken care of and gets plenty of attention while you’re away. I’m a commuter engineering student at Stony Brook, so I have a pretty flexible schedule and spend a lot of my week at home. Most days I’m only on campus for a few hours at a time, and I’m free all day on Saturdays. I do have an occasional longer class day, but even then I’m able to plan around your pet’s schedule. A lot of my schoolwork is done on my laptop, so when I’m pet sitting I’m happy to study and do my work from your home, which means I can spend plenty of time with your pet throughout the day. I also usually go to a local gym for about an hour and a half in the evening, but otherwise I’m around and can be pretty flexible. I’ll follow whatever routine you already have for your pet so they can stay as comfortable as possible while you’re away. I’m active and in good shape, so I’m more than happy to take dogs on long walks or give them as much exercise as they’re used to. I can handle feeding, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, litter boxes, and whatever else is part of their normal routine. I’m also completely comfortable sleeping with your pets if that’s what they’re used to, or giving them their own space so it’s really whatever you and your pet are most comfortable with. I’m happy to send pictures and updates too so you know they’re doing well.
