About: Animals have been a part of my life since childhood, and I'm surrounded by them every day. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, goats, rats and more. Every dog I've owned has been personally trained by me, giving me hands-on experience with behavior, structure, and individualized care. I live on a small farm and work from home, so I'm available throughout the day for animal's needs. Caring for horses, dogs, and cats is already a part of my daily routine, making pet care a natural part of my lifestyle. I have a fully fenced yard and two friendly dogs that can provide companionship for social dogs. I'm experienced in safely managing separate spaces if a dog prefers to be alone of is not dog-friendly, ensuring every pet gets plenty of personalized care, attention, and outdoor time.

I have cared for dogs of every size, flavor, and temperament. I have extensive experience training dogs, and quite frankly, I've watched a whole lot of Westminster dog show. In particular, I have specialized experience with shy or nervous dogs and will provide them the space and understanding needed to relax and feel comfortable. I am happy to walk or jog to help burn canine energy. Not afraid to get down in the dirt and play! I have been deeply involved in cat rescue since 2020, when I began working remotely. I have fostered dozens of cats over the years. This includes kittens with complex medical issues. I am very capable at medicating cats and kittens as well as identifying when a cat may be feeling unwell. When you board with me, your pet will not be left alone for more than 1 hour. I only board pets from one household at a time and provide dedicated personal care. When your baby is at my house, they are family. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions. I'm currently working remotely doing project-based contract work, so I have plenty of availability and scheduling flexibility. If boarding or house-sitting, I will be fully available and no pet will be left alone longer than an hour. I have a friendly chihuahua mix (8 lbs) and 2 cats, but if needed, I have plenty of room to give everyone their own space. I have an unfenced backyard with plenty of room to romp. Dogs will always be leashed or tethered in yard.

Our house is very dog friendly and the pups have stair access to the couch and can sleep on our bed. We have a small home in a dog friendly community. We do not have a fenced yard but provide several walks and play time on our large gated deck. Inside is a safe environment with lots of toys and comfy places to rest.

“From the moment we dropped Nessa off until the time we picked her up, we were pleasantly surprised by how completely at home she felt with Marla. Normally, Nessa is very apprehensive when meeting new people, new animals, or even visiting a new place. But from the moment Marla opened the door, our normally shy and hesitant little girl ran right into the house to greet Marla and all of her pets. To say my husband and I were shocked would be an understatement! Watching Nessa happily run off to play filled this mom and dad with so much joy. While we were attending our niece’s wedding, we kept checking our phones, fully expecting a call or text saying Nessa was crying or looking for us. That message never came—because she was apparently having the time of her life! When we returned to pick her up, Nessa was excited to show us all of her new friends. It was obvious she had been well cared for and truly enjoyed her stay. We could tell that Marla treated Nessa as if she were one of her own, and there is no greater compliment we could give. We only wish Marla lived in Connecticut instead of New York. Finding someone who genuinely loves and cares for your pet as though they were part of their own family is incredibly rare, and we would trust her with Nessa again in a heartbeat.”

I’m committed to making sure your animal is happy, healthy & safe! And I will provide photos/videos etc. of your animal while taking care of them if needed/wanted! My availability is pretty flexible. I’ll have plenty of time to play with your fur baby or animal! I’m available all week to do house sitting, drop-in visits, dog walking From 7am-6pm When it comes to pet sitting at your home, I prioritize creating a safe and trustworthy environment for your pets. I will treat them like my own and pay very close attention to your instructions. From making sure they stay fenced in the backyard to always having your pet on a leash while on walks is super important to me. I like to follow your pets normal routine, maintain a clean environment as well as keep everyone safe! I have a lot of experience with long term stays! I only accept one customer at a time to ensure I offer the best individualized focus, love, and care that your dog(s) deserves! Lastly, I maintain Buster’s Fi tracker subscription renamed as Buster’s friends. This is an optional free service that I offer. I have different sized collar attachments so that your dog can wear it during their stay. This allows me to share access to your dogs statistics and location during their stay if it will help to ease any anxieties you may have! I have a flexible work from home job Monday-Friday. I am able to take your dog out for walks as often as needed. I will not leave your dogs side throughout their entire stay! Dogs do not have any limitations in our home so they are welcome to roam freely and snuggle up on the most comfortable couch or bed they can find! We have a fully fenced backyard with doggy door access to allow unlimited bathroom trips and plenty of room to play!
