Hi there! I’m Kaitlyn and while I may be new to Rover, I’m not new to animal care. I’m a certified professional dog trainer with 10+ years of experience working in many niches of the dog world! I’ve spent years managing a training department in an animal shelter, raised neonate puppies, trained service dogs, and am currently enjoying competing in dog sports with my own pups. One dog and I competed in the North America Diving Dogs National Championships this October! I discovered my passion for dogs during my 7 years working on a horse farm. I have experience caring for more than just dogs and cats- I’ve also owned rabbits and reptiles and have cared for horses, small critters, fish, and even cows. I have a special soft spot for the big dogs, especially typically misunderstood breeds. I take pride in my ability to read an animal’s body language and treat them with the utmost respect, which includes respecting their boundaries and adjusting myself accordingly should they have any behavior concerns. I’m comfortable with pets of all shapes and sizes and can’t wait to meet yours!
