About: I am a receptionist at Rocky Point Animal Hospital and it is my pleasure to care for your dog. In my previous life I was a design program manager within corporate tech and im thrilled and privileged to pivot into pet care. Like seriously. I am not intimidated by dogs of any size or breed. Throughout my life I have cared for dogs of every size, flavor, and temperament. Guys, I just really love dogs. I have extensive experience training and caring for dogs, and quite frankly I've watched a whole lot of Westminster dog show. I am happy to walk or jog to help burn canine energy. Additionally, I have been deeply involved in cat rescue since 2020 when I began working remotely. I have fostered dozens of cats over the years. This includes kittens with medical issues due to their time outside. I am very capable at medicating cats and kittens as well as identifying when a cat may be feeling unwell. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions. I'm currently working part-time at a vet hospital, so I have plenty of availability and scheduling flexibility. If boarding or house-sitting I will pop home at lunch to care for your pet. Pets will never be alone for more than 5 hours. And even that would be a rare occurrence. I have a friendly chihuahua mix (8 lbs) and 3 cats, but if needed, I have plenty of room to give everyone their own space. I have an unfenced backyard with plenty of room to romp. Dogs will always be leashed or tethered in yard.

About: I’ve previously worked for another pet service where I took dogs on walks and did drop-in visits. I also have some experience with cats, but I have a 5-year old dog myself. I have experience taking care of elderly dogs as I dog sat for a family friend for a few months and stayed the night at their house once a week. I would take the dog for walks, spend time with him and give him any medication he needed. I love animals and it doesn’t feel like work to take care of them for me. I am a teacher, so I am free during school breaks and on weekends. When I am not working full-time at school, pet care will be my first priority. I will listen to any requests made by the pet owner for what they want me to do, such as letting them out in a fenced backyard or keeping them on a leash. I also have experience crate training my dog and find that can be a safe place for dogs too.

About: I've worked in dog day care, have 2 dogs and love their cuddles. I have completed Canine Communication & Language and Neuroscience Related to Canine Behavior classes. When I spend time with dogs, I put myself in their place, from their point of view. I ensure their basic needs are met, but I also "listen" to them, understand them and create a bond. I have flexibility during the day, evening and weekends. Being with pets, playing with them, walking them and taking care of them enhances my life. My dogs and I love going for walks in nature. They sniff, run and walk until they get tired and come home to relax. We love having fun mealtimes, which include healthy food and are never stressful for them. They get lots of cuddles, just like I do.

About: I've been taking care of family, friends, and neighbors animals since I was little. I've been working and volunteering at a local animal rescue for almost two years, and am comfortable and familiar with dogs of any kind, age, temperament, and more! I'm not afraid to clean up or play with a dog with energy, I've seen it all and have experience with hundreds of dogs! I am student at Virginia Tech, so coming home over the summer leaves me totally free! “There are not enough stars to fully convey our feelings of how we felt leaving our Newfoundland, Shih Tzu, chickens and fish with people we had only just met. Emma and Trent were exactly how they described themselves in their Rover Profile. Reagan immediately found Trent’s lap and Peaches was xheckinf out Emma for treats.❤️ Peaches and Reagan were treated exactly how we wanted them to be treated. Even though we couldn’t include the fact we had chickens (and fish) in our Rover profile, Emma and Trent were very receptive to including them in their daily care routines. We communicated on a regular basis using our Group Chat and Emma & Trent were kind enough to send some great pix of the “girls”. I’m sure their time with the girls and staying at our home will be as memorable for them as it was for us. Two days into our trip/their stay, they were hit with a blizzard that dropped 24” of snow. Although our home is beautiful when it snows, they were snowed in. It took 2 days before we could get them shoveled out. They had to clear a pathway for the dogs to go out along with a few other areas. And as if that wasn’t enough, one of the biggest trees in our yard fell onto the chicken coops outdoor area and destroyed it along with the chain link fence. They said they heard a tremendous sound and then they saw it. It was unbelievable. We were able to get my son to check it out to ensure it was secured from predators and that none of the chickens were hurt. Thank goodness was everyone was fine. We highly recommend Emma and Trent to care for your pets and your home and will definitely use their services again. Thank you both!”

About: I’ve taken care of my friends pets when they have been away on vacation and needed a sitter for their dog. The dog has always been walked, fed and taken care of so when they get back from vacation they are always happy with the treatment the dog received I’m working a full time job so I am mostly available on the weekends and during the week I am available in the night time if needed, after 730 or early in the mornings before 8 AM during the week! I am unavailable during the middle of the days during the week just because I’ll be at work I have cared for many pets in my friends homes before. About: I don't just walk dogs and drop in to take care of a cat. I take the time to play with them and keep them company so they don't feel alone while the person they love the most is not around for the brief moment. I am an independent Contractor who works with Autistic Adults. I create my own work schedule so I am flexible and available to take care of your fur baby. When coming into your home, I will slowly open the door but not all the way. I wouldn't want to chance a fur baby running away. If it's a dog, I will wait by the front door and allow your dog to approach and sniff me. We can take as long as needed so your puppy feels ok with me. If it's a cat, I will go searching and slowly approach with my hand extended so they can sniff me and see Im harmless. I am all about making my time with them as least stressful as possible. And of course if they want to play a bit, I'm all for it.😁
