About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs (and other animals!) for many years. Family, friends, and co-workers have relied on me to watch and care for their pets whether it’s walking, feeding, playing, even taking them to the vet. I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages, from senior bull mastiffs to pugs under a year old. There is no dog too big or too small because they’re all perfect to me. I’ve also found lost dogs and helped them return to their owners! I have experience caring for anxious dogs, blind dogs, deaf dogs, dogs with mobility issues, and dogs that require medication. Other animals I’ve taken care of include: cats, parrots, guinea pigs, fish, rabbits, and hamsters. Pets are so precious, they’re such an important source of joy in their family’s lives so it’s such a privilege to be trusted with their care!! :) Pet sitting is currently my full time job, so I have lots of time to give your animals the special care and attention they deserve! I have a fenced in yard which is perfect for dogs to run around in. I also have a car so I’m able to take dogs to the dog park or dog beaches nearby (if that’s something they would enjoy). At a client’s house I still follow any guidance/schedule given to me. In between I typically take the dog’s lead. I’m at their house so it’s important to me that I respect their space (and the clients above all)! I like to take their cues to make sure that their sense of routine isn’t disrupted.

Last year, I took a sabbatical during which I traveled the country largely through pet sitting. During that experience, I cared for a wide variety of pets—from young, energetic pets to seniors, and from energetic Border Collies and Newfiedoodles to independent outdoor Calico cats and affectionate indoor Russian Blues. I loved and cared for each of them as if they were my own. I’m attentive to established routines and enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and needs. I understand how important peace of mind is while you’re away, so I’m always happy to provide regular updates and photos. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, well cared for, and loved while you’re away. Since I work full time (8:00-4:30), my availability is primarily evenings (5pm onwards) and weekends for dog walks and drop-ins. I can also assist with morning cat feedings or drop-ins (6-7:30am) on my way to work when timing and location allow. I’m open to weekend house sitting with advance notice and aim to provide consistent, reliable care for every pet. About: I have grown up with different dogs my entire life. My best friend was a Rottweiler named Sampson and I had him from a pup. I create trained him as well as click trained him to become a good citizen. I have experience with large breeds as well as small. I have cared my many fur babies in this own homes, keeping them happy with conversation, brushing, play time and long walks. I feel that all breeds deserve love regardless of the negativity they may get from others who don't understand the breed. I have owned pitbulls and have found them to be loyal and loving and don't judge any animal. I have experience training my own dogs as well as freinds and family. I'm currently working PT as a home health aid and have flexibility and free time Tuesday through Saturday to walk and hangout with your beloved fur baby. Took a chance on Sydney as she's new to Rover, with no reviews, and she did not disappoint. She communicated the whole time, sent pics, and took our girl for lots of walks. We had her housesit. Shannon was amazing with Otter! And so flexible with my last minute plans - I am forever grateful to her for being so awesome. Alexa is a diamond in the rough. While hesitant, having never used Rover nor had someone other than immediate family watching Buddy, and with a trip closing in, Alexa came in the clutch and went beyond and beyond my expectations for my nearly 17-year-old senior Buddy. One to two years ago, Buddy would have been a breeze to watch. Now, his hind legs, mind, and bladder (no accidents for over 16 years) aren't the same as before, and he requires more attention. Alexa provided that attention, and some. Cleaning up his accidents, picking him up onto the couch or bed (he refuses to sleep anywhere else), letting him out as soon as she could, hanging out with him outside, cleaning up after herself and Buddy, following guidelines, and way more than I can fit in this review. Alexa is very communicative too, providing updates and pictures. All in all, Alexa rocks, and I'm happy I found someone who cares just as much about Buddy as I do. Book her, you won't regret it!
Paul watched our two new rescue German Shepherds for an overnight when we went out of town after only having the dogs for 2 weeks. It was such a relief to find someone close by who is a GSD lover. Both dogs took to Paul & his wife immediately. We loved getting photo and video updates while we were away from our new fur babies!
