About: Hi! I'm Cat, and it is my literal pleasure to care for your dog, cat, lizard, bunny, or parrot! What you can expect from me: -Fast, clear, and concise executive-level communication. -Deep breed-specific knowledge of behavior underpinned by my time as a vet receptionist -High quality photos -Easy, flexible scheduling -Complete focus and attention to detail -Genuine joy and enthusiasm to care for your pet In my previous life, I was a design program manager within corporate tech (Meta, Comcast, Pinterest), and I'm thrilled and privileged to pivot into pet care. I have cared for dogs of every size, flavor, and temperament. I have extensive experience training dogs, and quite frankly, I've watched a whole lot of Westminster dog show. In particular, I have specialized experience with shy or nervous dogs and will provide them the space and understanding needed to relax and feel comfortable. I am happy to walk or jog to help burn canine energy. Not afraid to get down in the dirt and play! I have been deeply involved in cat rescue since 2020, when I began working remotely. I have fostered dozens of cats over the years. This includes kittens with complex medical issues. I am very capable at medicating cats and kittens as well as identifying when a cat may be feeling unwell. When you board with me, your pet will not be left alone for more than 1 hour. I only board pets from one household at a time and provide dedicated personal care. When your baby is at my house, they are family. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions. I'm currently working remotely doing project-based contract work, so I have plenty of availability and scheduling flexibility. If boarding or house-sitting, I will be fully available and no pet will be left alone longer than an hour. I have a friendly chihuahua mix (8 lbs) and 2 cats, but if needed, I have plenty of room to give everyone their own space. I have an unfenced backyard with plenty of room to romp. Dogs will always be leashed or tethered in yard.

About: Ever since I was a little girl I have always been surrounded by extra love from my pets. I cannot imagine my life without any of my furbabies that I’ve had the honor of loving and caring for along the way. Both my dog, Champ and my cat, Shea currently have my heart. They are the absolute best of friends. I’m inseparable from my dog. He is an Akita-Husky mix who recently just celebrated his 12th birthday. When I’m not at work teaching, I’m usually bringing him on adventures. From strolls through Port Jefferson, to hiking upstate to road trips to Connecticut, he has definitely become quite the explorer. It is my hope to be able to meet your four-legged family member and to help put your mind at ease knowing your furbabies are safe and cared for :) I’m currently a teacher and off for the summer so I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies as much as you need :) Your trust is the most important thing to me. I will ensure you home is found exactly how you left it while also ensuring your pet is in the best hands possible! :)

About: I have hands-on experience working with animals through both therapy dog work and my previous experience as an assistant to a veterinary technician. This has given me a strong understanding of animal behavior, health, and how to handle pets with care, patience, and confidence. I’m comfortable supporting pets with different needs and always focus on making them feel safe, calm, and well cared for. Working from home allows me to be a consistent, calming presence for your pet throughout the day whether at my home or yours. I truly enjoy spending that time with them—whether it’s going on walks, giving them attention, or just being nearby so they don’t feel alone. I know every pet is different, so I follow their lead and make sure they feel comfortable and secure, whether they’re full of energy or prefer a more relaxed, quiet routine. I keep your pet’s routine consistent while providing attentive care, companionship, and a calm presence. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or quiet time, I adapt to their needs and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I am also a photographer which could lead to getting some great photos while you are away!

About: I’ve previously worked for another pet service where I took dogs on walks and did drop-in visits. I also have some experience with cats, but I have a 5-year old dog myself. I have experience taking care of elderly dogs as I dog sat for a family friend for a few months and stayed the night at their house once a week. I would take the dog for walks, spend time with him and give him any medication he needed. I love animals and it doesn’t feel like work to take care of them for me. I am a teacher, so I am free during school breaks and on weekends. When I am not working full-time at school, pet care will be my first priority. I will listen to any requests made by the pet owner for what they want me to do, such as letting them out in a fenced backyard or keeping them on a leash. I also have experience crate training my dog and find that can be a safe place for dogs too.

About: Extensive experience as a medical professional in the veterinary world, medicating, treating, and working with all sorts of creatures! Looking forward to serving my community in a greater capacity. Extremely flexible schedule with room to grow. Weekends are filled with walks, boarding, and drop ins, weekdays are mostly filled with drop ins. Available daily and can’t wait to send you photos of your pets and I having a blast. Our dogs, cats, and birds all enjoy the spoils of being our only kids. About: As a lifelong animal lover and pet parent to four rescue dogs, I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to every animal as if they were my own. I have hands-on experience caring for senior dogs, including my 14-year-old blind Boston Terrier, which has given me patience, compassion, and an understanding of the extra care some pets require. I am also comfortable administering medications and following detailed care instructions to help pets stay happy, healthy, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether your pet loves playtime, long walks, cuddles on the couch, or simply sticking to their usual routine, my goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy. I work full-time at a local high school as the Principal’s Secretary, with regular hours ending at 1:30 PM during the school year and 1:00 PM during the summer, which allows me plenty of time for afternoon, evening, and overnight pet care. I am available for drop-in visits, walks, feeding, medication administration, and companionship before and after work, and I am happy to provide overnight stays when needed so your pets can maintain their routine and have company for longer periods of time. Weekends are generally wide open, allowing me to dedicate even more time and attention to your pets. My goal is always to provide dependable, loving care that gives both you and your pets peace of mind while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, administer medications if needed, and make sure pets get the exercise, playtime, and attention they’re used to receiving. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing fetch, cuddling on the couch, or simply having someone nearby, I adjust my care to fit their individual needs and personality. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and any special instructions you provide. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away, while also giving you peace of mind through dependable and attentive care.

About: I have grown up with different dogs my entire life. My best friend was a Rottweiler named Sampson and I had him from a pup. I create trained him as well as click trained him to become a good citizen. I have experience with large breeds as well as small. I have cared my many fur babies in this own homes, keeping them happy with conversation, brushing, play time and long walks. I feel that all breeds deserve love regardless of the negativity they may get from others who don't understand the breed. I have owned pitbulls and have found them to be loyal and loving and don't judge any animal. I have experience training my own dogs as well as freinds and family. I'm currently working PT as a home health aid and have flexibility and free time Tuesday through Saturday to walk and hangout with your beloved fur baby. I would come to your home and watch your dog, take them for a walk, snuggle, feed, play, brush and engage them with conversation and provide them love and support.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
