I do not have children or any pets of my own-this way I am be able to maintain a stress free environment for your pet to avoid any anxiety or nervousness around children or new animals. I adopted my beloved cat Calvin when I was 21 and in December 2022, 11 years later, he passed away leaving a hole in my heart. He had many health problems such as asthma and IBS, for which he was on several daily medications. This taught me to administer oral medication in pill pockets and use an inhaler attachment for him. I miss being around animals in general now that he’s been gone. I am looking so much forward to being able to provide boarding in my lakeside home. At this time, I’m not able to offer housesitting, very happily offer drop ins house sits and walks! Kindly note: * if your dog has a history of aggression towards people or has indoor accidents frequently I will not be able to host them. *Experience with breeds such as greyhounds, who may need a more quiet atmosphere I am available consistently at the moment as I run a part time home business. 24 hour consistent time with your pet is ensured. If they wish they can also sleep in the bedroom/bed. The fenced yard is big enough to run around supervised and also has tiered retaining walls. I also have a separate area for a cat(s) and a walk in closet style litter box “room”. I have plenty of toys, treats and catnip. At this time, I’m not able to offer boarding, very happily offer drop ins house sits and walks!

About: I've been taking care of family, friends, and neighbors animals since I was little. I've been working and volunteering at a local animal rescue for almost two years, and am comfortable and familiar with dogs of any kind, age, temperament, and more! I'm not afraid to clean up or play with a dog with energy, I've seen it all and have experience with hundreds of dogs! I am student at Virginia Tech, so coming home over the summer leaves me totally free! I'm eager to have something to fill my time, especially if it's checking in on a puppy every few hours, or getting me active while I'm on break. About: I’ve been around dogs for basically my whole life and I’ve always loved animals. I’ve been taking care of my own pets- walking, feeding, bathing, training, etc- for as long as I can remember. More recently I’ve taken care of friends pets while their owners are away- including dogs, cats, and a bunny. In these instances I was responsible for checking in on the pets a few times a day to feed them, let them outside, refill water, and give them lots of love and attention. I have also volunteered to dog walk at a few local shelters. I’m currently home from college for the summer and I have a lot of free time. I have a few short trips that are blocked out on my calendar and should be available otherwise. When walking dogs I try to always be aware of my surroundings and be on the lookout for cars, other dogs, or wild animals. My own dog can be a bit sneaky and is a big chewer so I know how important it is to be vigilant when watching dogs. I’ve also had a reactive dog in the past so I’m confident in my abilities to distract and remove a dog from a hostile situation. I’m always interested in learning more about proper pet care and have spent time researching pet safe foods and activities for my own pets. My goal is always to give a pet the best care possible.

We disgusted how she can be shy and she is afraid of most things. Talked food time and bathroom habits. Jennifer left and then came back for the appointed time. Emily was very happy to see her. Jennifer provided many pictures of their time together while I was out. My Emily was happy to see me come back but, not about Jennifer leaving. Emily went to hide after she left. She was upset with me that Jennifer had left. She ignored me for the rest of the night. Jennifer had made quite an impression on her. Jennifer is an unbelievable person. About: Throughout my life, we've always had dogs in the house and, as I’ve gotten older, there was definitely a period where it seemed more like a zoo than a human household with all of our rescues. When I was in high school, I fell in love with training dogs and really never wanted to do anything else. Over the years, I’ve made every effort to immerse myself in the field through work at Petco and multiple daycares, as a volunteer at Kent Animal Shelter, as a student with the Animal Behavior College, becoming a CPDT, opening my own business, and tentatively dipping my toes into the grooming aspect of it all as well. Hopefully, as time goes on, I can continue to pursue my dog training career as a multifaceted professional and expand more fully into my own business. I run my own multifaceted pet services business offering a variety of options from training and boarding to walking and photography, so my whole day circulates around pet-related bookings and activities. I live on half an acre of land with a fully fenced in yard, separate attached dog run, and plenty of space to run! We do a perimeter check twice daily to make sure the fencing is secure and the grounds are meeting our standards of cleanliness. I can easily crate dogs if that’s what their paw-rents request, but also have no problem allowing them to roam through the house if that’s what they’re accustomed to. I do have a few pups of my own, but they’re the friendliest guys you’ll ever meet — one is actually a quadriplegic! Everyone is in their own space while eating and stay separated for about an hour following meals to allow food to digest. Let me know if there are any other accommodations your pet needs!
