“Rachel was fantastic in taking care of my fur baby Nappa. He can be overly excited and pull when he walks but Rachel loved him like her own. Thank you so much for loving my boy and keeping my mind at ease while my family and I were away.”

“Riley was fantastic! We are new at this (first family dog) as we have a puppy and Riley was a huge help to jump in at the last minute. She was kind enough to fit us in her already tightly booked schedule as we were in a huge bind! She updated throughout the day with pictures and videos. Thanks Riley!! We will definitely contact her again!”

“Devinder was great! He was punctual, provided a great report and was very communicative. My pup seemed happy and refreshed when I got home. We will definitely be calling him again!”

“Mallory is great with our two pups - one is reactive the other has an injury. She handled both with care. She also sent detailed notes and lots of pictures! Super appreciative we found her!”

“Absolutely wonderful! Flexible, came early when I asked, was so perfect with the dogs, easy to work with, accommodating, professional, got the job done and gave 110%! I have two tired pups!”

“You should hire Paige! She has been great with my nervous rescue dog and is so patient with him. I feel like I’m leaving him with someone who cares about him as much as I do. I cant thank Paige enough!”

“Sydney has been walking our two dogs for a couple of weeks now. They're big, high energy pups that clearly adore her visits. Her communication and reliability have been excellent.”

About: I've had pets my whole life, from dogs and cats to guinea pigs and birds. There is not much in dog behavior I haven't seen and haven't been able to deal with. Whether it's walking an overweight dog to help keep them happy and healthy or just spending time with your pets when you need to go somewhere or the daily life just gets to be a bit too busy, I have got you covered. I miss my pets back home so there is absolutely no doubt that your furry friends will receive the love they need! I have experience in farm work helping with the care of animals like goats, chickens, horses, and cows! I have taken care of sick dogs and extremely active, playful dogs. I will make sure your animals get the care they need when they need it. I have just moved back to Richmond and want to get back to exploring the city! I work part-time so I am available for your furry friend for most of the day. I can also handle last-minute bookings if you are in a bind. I have a car and live centrally to the city so I can be there when you & your pet need me. I am sure to follow all instructions you give me to ensure the happiness and safety of your pet. I will have the same boundaries that you do for your pet so that the transition is smooth for your furry friend. I will do my best to give your pet all the love and attention they can get! I have a completed background check and ask that we have a chance to meet up before I sit for you.
About: One of the first things people notice about me is how animals are drawn to me. For some reason I was the only person who could sit my cousin's dog, who wanted to bite everyone else. Odds are good your pet will make a new friend while you're away. I'm currently between full-time jobs, which gives me the flexibility to build my schedule to meet the needs of clients, whether it's just dropping in or a long-term stay. My apartment has a very cat-friendly setup, though obviously most cats prefer staying on their own turf. For dogs, I'll need to come to you.
“Emmalee has taken the time to get to know our dog and he has taken to her very quickly and he is a very sensitive soul so that speaks volumes! Really happy and relaxed knowing she is caring for him, would definitely recommend.”

“Lila was great! I appreciated her flexibility with our schedule. Our tour of campus ended late and she was very gracious about being with Lilly until we got back. Our dog enjoyed her time with her and she took great care of her. Thank you Lila!”

About: I've had pets pretty much my ENTIRE life. I've grown up mainly with cats in the house but i've had a hamster and a few dogs before when i was younger. My sister even had a snake that i took care of a lot of the time. I've done pet sitting for a friend and my sister before. My friend had a Samoyed and a Ragdoll. While my sister has a pit/lab mix. I'm currently in college so i will mainly be available during the weekends. I currently have Tuesday and Thursday's off from classes and so I'd be available at earlier times. I am also double checking to make sure both the owners and pets are okay. While I don't offer services in my home (due to my cats not being fond of dogs and my complex being rather strict about having more than 2 animals in a home), I am willing to travel to a clients home. I am always respectful and will never disrespect your home, you, or your pets.
About: I've been caring for pets for most of my life, both my own and those of others! I also worked as a pet care associate at a pet resort, where I took care of a wide variety of animals, making sure they received all the love and attention they deserved. From feeding and walking to cleaning up after them, I’m experienced in meeting the needs of pets of all kinds! I am currently a student at vcu. I have classes on Mondays and Wednesdays till 4pm, but my Tuesday and Thursdays are free after noon! This give me plenty of time for afternoon and evening walks or any drop ins during the week! I am also totally free on Fridays and weekends for house sitting or more extended pet care! I really enjoy spending quality time with pets, giving them lots of playtime, love, and attention. I believe that pet owners know their pets best, so I always make sure to follow any routines or guidelines provided to ensure they feel comfortable and happy! I also know how important it is to keep your home safe and clean. I will make sure to cleanup regularly, lock all doors, Pet gates, and any other requests you give in order to keep your home the way you left it!
About: Hello! My name is Eula, but I go by Thane! I currently petsit on Rover full time. I absolutely love dogs, cats, horses, snakes, hamsters, and pretty much every other animal I've encountered in my life! I have done dog grooming and training and have been a kennel tech in the past and have worked both with an open play system and individual boarding and I'm very comfortable around all kinds of breeds and temperaments. I have also housesat for many family friends and cared for dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, horses, goats, sheep, and chickens while they were away. For most of my childhood I lived next to a horse farm, so I have a fair amount of experience grooming and handling horses, although I don't ride anymore. I have experience owning and caring for hamsters as well. I own two feral kittens that I am socializing. I very much enjoy working with animals and I do my very best to treat every animal entrusted to me as though it were my own. Rover is my full time job! I care for your pets around the time I spend with my own animals and do my best to make sure everyone's needs are accommodated for, schedule wise. This means I will prioritize time slots for pets who are on a strict medication schedule or need a very consistent routine, and other time slots are a bit more flexible (within ~1 hour of the requested time given). I will happily take your dogs on a nice long walk, and I'm also down to play fetch or tug of war. If your dog knows more involved games or needs reinforcement of training, I'm happy to work with them on basic obedience and tricks. I love hanging out with cat clients and particularly enjoy working with shy or formerly feral cats--two of mine are former ferals :)
“Cindy was responsible and caring for our dog. She worked with us to support changes in the schedule and communicated clearly when this came up. She made appropriate decisions when hot weather became an issue. Highly recommend Cindy!”

About: I’ve been a pet lover since I was a kid, and have owned cats since age 4. Currently I’ve got 2 Maine Coon (big) cats and 2 kids! If you need drop ins for home, pet, and/or plant care, I’d love to help. Rest easy knowing that your caregiver is a responsible adult mom who can follow a routine, stick to a plan, and send you cute pictures. I’m currently a stay at home mom, and my kids are in school or summer camps most days! My best hours are between 9am and 3pm, with “tuck in” availability after 7:30pm. I’d be happy to accommodate your pet’s usual schedule as much as possible and stick to familiar routines to reduce the stress they feel without you there with them.
