About: I love helping owners and families feel confident that their dog is happy, safe, and comfortable, whether with me for a daily walk or when entering your home to visit with them. I grew up living with dogs from the age of 5, adopting and caring for 7 dogs over 3+ decades, including my current pup, super senior Arthur. I have experience owning dogs of all ages - puppies to elders, and various sizes - 8 to 60 lbs. I am comfortable working with dogs who are timid, high-energy, or anywhere in between. I also have experience addressing special dietary needs and giving medication. I am a reliable communicator and will keep you informed of your dog's wellbeing with regular updates. I will treat your home and all who live there with respect and kindess. I believe it is a privilege to own, care for, and love a pet, and I have gotten a lot of joy from the dogs in my life over the years. I'm eager to meet yours! I have a part-time, remote work schedule that allows me the flexibility to dictate my own schedule. I rarely have unexpected meetings, appointments, or travel in my schedule. I always ensure that pets - new or known to me - feel comforted and safe in my presence. I match their energy and needs, and lead with calmness when meeting any new animal. I never make assumptions about other peoples' pets and consistently use any feedback or guidelines provided to bring the best care. I err on the side of caution when working with all animals, ensuring that their safety and comfort is paramount, as is my own.

About: I have had my own dogs for the past year or two and absolutely love spending time with dogs. I understand their needs and try my best to make sure each dog gets their own individual needs taken care of. I do this on the side and my schedule is variable. I love to get to know the owners and dogs together, while taking all the necessary precautions to stay safe right now. I am willing to give baths and clip nails if needed, as long as the dog cooperates. I love being able to keep the dog(s) active and engaged because I understand the need for engagement and exercise. I may not have any professional experience but I love everything dog and will work extra hard to make sure your dog is loved and cared for! I usually have mornings open so I can walk your dogs and get them up and moving in the beginning of the day! I am born and raised minnesotan so I also know how to brave the weather so you don't have to My dog is very needy and loves attention so I'm also used to having a dog around and keeping them engaged! I am very good at reading what they need and how they are communicating! I love being interactive with the dog and keeping them happy!

About: I’ve been a dog owner for 6 years and a Dog Person for over 3 decades! Throughout my life, family, friends, and neighbors have all trusted me to care for their pets, including the dogs I grew up with. From check-ins and playtime to walks and feeding, I’ve done it all. I’ve even been asked to chauffeur a friend’s dog for their wedding! I bring enthusiasm and playfulness to every interaction but prioritize comfort and safety. My own dog's a "runner" so I take extra care when securing doors, gates, leashes, crates, etc. Before I start spending time with your pup, I'll make sure I fully understand your environment and expectations.

About: Dog friendly home with a fenced in backyard Fur mom to Theo (15 month old German Shorthair Pointer mix) My dog loves to be around other dogs 1 block from Victory Memorial Parkway/Theo Wirth Parkway 5 minute drive to a dog park 5-10 minute drive to Downtown/Uptown Mpls My favorite thing to do is spend time with my playful pup, Theo! We enjoy going on walks, car rides, trips to the dog park, and playing fetch in our fenced in backyard. I know it can be hard to be away from your dog. Allow me to ease your mind. I have a lot of love to give, so while your pup is in my care, they will be loved as if they were my own!

About: I’v had 2 cats, a german sheaperd & a husky mix. I also lived with both cats & dogs while with roommates & of course have been around many pets of family & friend’s. Currently, I have an elder pitbull named Ladybird with my partner. I am a big home-body who helps care for disabled people few times of week in the evening (usually 4pm-9pm). Other than that, I am usually available short notice & have plenty of time for check-ins to work with you & your pet. -Will always keep leashed when out -Understands pets come with many different personalities & will try to adapt to offer them the most comfort. I know it’s not any easy time for your pets or you to be away from eachother.

About: My husband and our family have been watching dogs on Rover since before it was even called Rover. We've lived overseas a few times so if you see gaps in our reviews, that is why. We are very active with our doggie guests and would love to host your dog. We typically go on walks once a day and on weekends typically try to be outside more (as the winter weather permits). We're open to requests to take your pup to dog parks, bike rides, or walks depending on your pup's preferences. Note: you will typically see delayed responses past 9PM but will get back to you as soon as I see your messages. Thanks! Both my husband and I work full time M-F but I work from home and would be able to take bathroom breaks or walks mid-day. If you needed someone to stop by and let your dog out, it would have to be within the Columbia Heights, Fridley, Shoreview area. We have a fenced in yard in the back that we take out the dogs to hang, throw a ball, or relax. Inside the house we leave it open range as long as your pup can handle no accidents, no chewing the kids' stuffies (it's hard I know!), etc. When we are gone, we do like to crate our visitors so they don't get into mischief while we are gone.

About: I've been hanging with cats and dogs since I was a teenager. I was the Friendly Neighborhood Baby/Dog/Cat/House Sitter and spent much of my adolescence caring for my community's animal companions. Despite not having any pets in the home during my childhood, I had lots of exposure to animals from a young age. I pet sat for my neighbors, friends, and family for many years and finally got some pets of my own in adulthood. I have house, crate, walk, and obedience trained two puppies and have had some experience retraining older pets and rescues. I have, unfortunately, also cared for an elderly cat through his passing and a terminally ill dog through his passing. I have been working professionally as a pet sitter for three years and have never felt more fulfilled! I'd love to meet you and your pets and provide excellent care for your loved ones! I work a hybrid job and am in office 2x a week in Maple Grove. I tend to have the flexibility to pick which days and can almost always leave over my lunch hour to run back to your pets if need be! Additionally, I work as an actor, singer, and theatre director outside of my 9-5 so I might have rehearsals/performances that take me away from the house but I always make sure our schedules are compatible before booking. Constant care available for a 25% rate increase. I am a very conscientious and safety minded person. I know that it is a risk to open your home to someone from the internet and is a lot to entrust them with the care of your family members. I don't take that responsibility lightly. Making sure your home and your pets are safe and well cared for is my priority.

About: New info- for my canine clients who are kennel trained- We have several spacious kennels and dog beds so rest assured that you dont have to bring yours. The kennels and dog beds are both washed and sanitized in between pups. We also have a dog bowls and extra poop bags on hand. For your elderly pup, pups that have recently had surgery or those with little legs- We have a doggie ramp for our stairs. I have been a pet owner for the past 20 years, mostly cats, but a few dogs. I will probably be a pet owner for the rest of my life. When I was younger I volunteered at my local animal hospital. I have previously had a Pomeranian (who was prone to seizures) as well as a terrier. I currently belong (yes they own me) 3 cats, Callie (aged 10), Simba (aged 7) and Soxxs (age unknown at least aged 5). I can't wait to meet your furry friend and have lots of fun together. I work full time Mon- Fri, so this is will be after work and on the weekends. I am willing to watch senior dogs and special needs dogs, as I believe that every dog needs love and care. I look forward to meeting you sooner rather than later. I have a fenced in yard. We do kennel when we are out of the house and during meal times to ensure your canine doesn't eat something they aren't supposed to. Winter boardings- we use pet safe sidewalk salt in addition to wiping off paws after walks. I work Mon- Fri, I am home on the weekends, as well as my husband is off on Sunday & Monday. Pets are always cared for as we are on opposite shifts. We provide plenty of walks and love for your pets. We usually stays away from dogs parks just because other dogs could be more aggressive. FAQ's: What to bring- a blanket/dog bed, toys, treats, food, leash/harness/leader, medicine (if applicable). For heat sensitive breeds: our house does have central a/c and we do have wood floors- which helps keep your pup cool. We do a potty break & breakfast in the morning (between 6 & 7 am), several walks thoughout the day. We do have littles so we do crate during meal times. We do one last potty break in the evening (between 8 & 10 pm) This can be changed as each pup is different and has different needs. We do potty breaks through our the day and several walks. My husband and I are on opposite schedules so someone is always home with the pups. We do keep dog soap on hand in the event a bath is needed.
