“We were so pleased with the care our feline friends received. Chekerra was incredibly attentive and spent quality time playing with them. It was also very helpful that she went the extra mile to bring in our mail. We also had contractors coming to install flooring during our absence. And she worked masterfully to secure our pets so that they could be safe and not interfere with the crew when they did their work. She also informed us promptly after the construction was done that. The crew had left the house a mess. Her concern for our home in addition to our pets was very special. We truly appreciate the exceptional service provided. We will definitely be reaching out again for future needs.”

About: We have a cat and a dog of our own and they are like family for us! They are our babies! Let us love yours like our own as well! I would have all the animals if I could! We love spending time with our babies and would love to take care of yours just like you would! I will be home with them all day and night! Someone will be here around the clock unless we have to run a quick errand to which they won’t be here alone long! We are working on fencing in a portion of our 13 acres to care for others pets! We live way off the road and they have lots of area to play! We have plenty of area to walk them and let them play.

About: I truly love animals of all shapes and sizes. I personally have 2 dogs, (a 3yo dachshund and 12yo golden retriever) and 1 cat that will be 17 this year. I am familiar with senior and special needs as well as puppies in training. I am currently a SAHM with our 1yo daughter and pets. My schedule is extremely flexible on a day to day basis which allows me to accommodate most pet schedules. Pets are true family members and deserve love and attention as much as kids. I enjoy providing each pet individual time and attention to help ease any stress while their parents/families are out of town or at work.

“Margarette had relieved my anxiety of leaving my dog home alone while we were out on vacation. In each drop-in visit, she made sure to keep us updated and send lots of photos. My dog was happy with all of the belly rubs, love, and treats she provided him. I highly recommend her for your fur babies :)”

About: I stand out because I go above basic pet sitting. I’m experienced with large and small breeds, cats, and puppies. I keep homes clean, follow routines, give plenty of playtime and attention, and treat every pet like family. I work part-time, so I have plenty of time to give your pets attention, walks, potty breaks, and playtime. I’m available on weekends, and weekdays after work. I love including pets into my daily routine like they’re my own! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my priority. I follow your routines, feeding times, and rules. I keep water fresh, clean up, and provide lots of attention. With my own pets, I play, go on walks, and give lots of love, and I care for your pets the exact same way. I treat your home with respect and your pets like family.
“This is my first time using Rover. Cassidy was great! She eased my worries about my cats while I was traveling! She kept me informed with the pictures she posted. She even left them with some new toys that even got my 7 year old cat playing! My 7 year old cat, who is very shy with strangers, even came out of hiding to meet her! I will definitely use Cassidy again when I travel! Thank you Cassidy!”

About: I’ve always loved being around animals and understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pet. I’m patient, attentive, and make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owner is away. I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities and energy levels, including puppies who need extra attention and older dogs who need a calmer, gentler approach. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, administering basic medications if needed, and keeping pets on their normal routine to help them feel at home. I’m also open to caring for cats and understand that every cat has a different personality and comfort level. Whether they’re playful, shy, or independent, I’ll make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away. What sets me apart is that I treat every pet like they’re my own. I make sure owners stay updated with photos and messages so they always have peace of mind while away. I am a recent college graduate, and I am currently searching for a job. This makes my schedule very flexible, so I am able to do check-ins or walks anytime during the day! For walks and drop-in visits, I focus on making pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for in their own environment. I understand how important trust and consistency are, so I always follow each pet owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk routines, medications if needed, and any special preferences for their pet. During walks, I make sure pets are safely leashed, monitored closely, and given plenty of attention and exercise. For drop-in visits, I provide fresh water, feeding, potty breaks or litter box cleaning, playtime, and companionship so pets feel less stressed while their owner is away. I also provide regular photo and message updates because I know how reassuring it is to know your pet is happy and doing well.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Valdosta with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
