“Evelyn is awesome - she’s kind, caring, and exceptionally reliable. Not only has she taken incredibly great care of my animals, but she helped us out immensely during the hurricane. She a life saver and would recommend no one else so highly in Valdosta and the surrounding area. Truly - thank you.”

“We love Kytt! She is incredibly reliable and communicative during her multiple stays. I always know my boy will be happy when she comes to stay with him! It’s so reassuring to have a sitter who you know loves your pet as much as you do!”

“Elicia was amazing with our 8 year old, shy Great Dane. This was my first time using the app and allowing someone to care for our baby. She updated us with photos every time she checked in, she updated us with how she was doing. Communication was amazing. I was very nervous & she for sure put my mind at ease & was so nice and understanding. I will be booking her again in the future everytime I can.”

“Patrick was absolutely incredible with my pets. He was so patient and caring. My dog is scared of everyone and everything, but by the end, Patrick is definitely her new favorite person. The updates he gave us made us feel like we never left. He’s a phenomenal sitter and we will definitely book him again.”

About: I've owned cats and dogs of various kinds most of my life. Family members and close neighbors have relied on me to check in with, feed, and play with their pets as well, though I am new to Rover's services. I have a few training skills as I train my own dog. I have full availability for the Summer, as a college student, and my schedule is very flexible as a result. This includes options for weekends, weekdays, and overnights. As a pet owner myself, I can ensure your pet will receive love and attention, and any special instructions will be dutifully taken care of.
“Carly took good care of our cat Sally for more than a week while we were out. She was very communicative keeping me up to date during her visiting. She did a good job with all (feeding, playing, sandbox cleaning) and even took care of extra cleaning when needed (a dead lizard on my floor!). Thank you!!!”

“Our dogs/we love Justine! My girls are quite large and rambunctious, plus needy in the senses that they wanna watch TV and have specific bedding set ups. Justine was awesome, went above and beyond to make them feel as normal as possible, and kept me in the loop 24/7. Plenty of precious photos of them watching Bluey together, detailed reports, and helpful extras like bringing packages in. She’s awesome!! Absolutely recommend.”

“Holly was very communicative and timely with her visits with Jude! She sent me pictures to recap their visits and even cleaned the lid to Jude’s cat food without me asking. Would recommend Holly!!”

About: I have a joy and comforting love to give and bring to all pets! With excitement and lots of fun playing and well taken care of I currently work at a job that is part time mainly night time. I don’t get off to late but I still will manage to be there to serve you and your adorable pet I take care of my own animal by bringing her love first then feeding her making sure she has fresh water. As well as taken out to get fresh air either outside or outside our property which would be a car ride
“Chekerra was amazing! She took such great care of Marley and truly went above and beyond. She even brought her own toys so they could play together, which Marley loved. We also really appreciated the check-ins and pictures she sent throughout the stay—it gave us so much peace of mind. You can tell she genuinely cares and treats the pets like her own. I would definitely recommend her and will absolutely be using her again in the future!”

“Sandy did a great job taking care of my cat. She was on-time and followed my directions (including medication) exactly as requested. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
