“The BEST ever!! Kytt was so kind and sweet and super patient with my dog and two cats and she kept me updated the whole time and sent lots of sweet pictures! It’s clear how much she genuinely loves working with animals. Despite how extremely timid my pets are with new people, Kytt was very patient with them, which was exactly what they needed to finally feel comfortable. By the end of the night, all three of my babies were cuddling with her on the couch! All three of my very shy animals just absolutely loved Kytt! I knew my pets were in the most amazing hands, and I will definitely be choosing her to sit my animals again in the future?”

“Evelyn is awesome - she’s kind, caring, and exceptionally reliable. Not only has she taken incredibly great care of my animals, but she helped us out immensely during the hurricane. She a life saver and would recommend no one else so highly in Valdosta and the surrounding area. Truly - thank you.”

“We love Chekerra. She is so kind. My baby has serious separation anxiety and so do I lol. She is always on time, patient, understanding, accommodating. I could go on.”

“This was our second time booking with Patrick. He was phenomenal and took the best care of our babies. Detailed notes, the cutest pictures, and even gave our dog extra attention during a storm. If you’re looking for an amazing sitter, Patrick is the one to choose.”

“We really enjoyed having Elicia take care of our cats while we were gone. We appreciate her sending pictures of them every day. We will certainly will reach out to her in the future. Thank you”

“She was amazing! She husky is a pain in the booty, and she took care of her like she was her very own. She gave me and my boyfriend peace of mind in a time when we definitely needed it. We will 100% be booking w her again. If you want your fur babies to feel loved and taken care of she is definitely the one to book with.”

“We had such a great experience with our dog sitter! From the very first meeting, our dogs took to him right away, which gave us so much peace of mind. While we were away, he sent photos of them on walks and hanging out, and they looked so relaxed and happy in every picture. When we got home, the dogs were happy and clearly well cared for, which is always the biggest sign of a good sitter. He did an exceptional job keeping them comfortable, giving them plenty of attention, and making sure they got out for walks. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pets!”

About: I have taken care of both cats and dogs for my entire life, and I have been doing so professionally for about 5 years now. I have a regular office job with a very flexible schedule, so I have plenty of availability to care for animals! I use pet sitting as extra income to get through college. I am extremely attentive and careful when I am around animals. Noticing patterns in behaviors is necessary so just in case one of the pets starts acting differently, I will know something is wrong and that I need to change it!

About: I truly love animals of all shapes and sizes. I personally have 2 dogs, (a 3yo dachshund and 12yo golden retriever) and 1 cat that will be 17 this year. My schedule is extremely flexible on a day to day basis which allows me to accommodate most pet schedules. Pets are true family members and deserve love and attention as much as kids. I enjoy providing each pet individual time and attention to help ease any stress while their parents/families are out of town or at work.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
