About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.

About: Mine was a dog family. My parents showed Chow Chows and Bichon Frisés at dog shows around the country with me in tow as a junior handler grooming, training, and caring for our dogs. In college, rather than wait tables, I worked as a kennel assistant and then as a veterinarian assistant during post-grad, spending weekends caring for medical boarders, administering meds and keeping lonely, isolated dogs company. I’m a deeply attached and passionate rescue advocate and animal-lover. My pets have all been mostly large, lovable mixed-breed dogs and second-chance stories like Betsey. Professionally, I have 20+ years of experience as a copywriter and creative strategist. Before starting Betsey & Julie Walk Dogs, I spent the past year as a Dog Handler at Pawlins Day Care — under the tutelage of all kinds of dogs. I’m a freelance writer and I work from home. I share this home with Betsey, an incredibly sweet five-year-old Labrador Retriever. I’m available and actively involved in your dog’s enrichment and overall experience. I’m active and attentive. Betsey and I are affectionate and accommodating. We love walks, parks, toys, treats, and cuddling. We think your dog will love spending time with us.

About: I have over 7 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, focusing on daily walks and overnight care. For the past 5 years, I have raised my own gentle pup, Poopoo, who is well-trained and keeps me experienced in consistent walking, feeding, and providing comfort at night. Before that, I spent 2 years in Korea helping my family raise another dog, giving me a strong background in handling different breeds and personalities. I also have 2 cats at home who are very friendly with other pets! Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me not only to walk their dogs but also to care for them overnight when they travel. On weekends, I can offer even more flexible availability for boarding and longer walks, making sure your pup gets the exercise, love, and attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. At home, I live in a pet-friendly environment with a calm, well-trained dog who is used to other pets. I make sure walks are always safe—using secure leashes and keeping a close eye on surroundings. For overnight care, I provide a quiet and comfortable space where your pup can feel at ease, and I always follow your instructions closely regarding feeding, routines, and any special needs.

About: I love dogs and love caring for them. I am fun and energetic. I could spend hours playing with dogs. If yuh need someone that is reliable and that you can depend on them to take care of your beloved just as you would, I’m your girl! I can handle any breed at any size. I treat animals with love and respect. I have had some experience of taking care of people animals while they were gone for vacation or just out of town. About: I will talk and sing with animals. Animals are the best judge of character so I make sure I’m always paying attention to their needs and energy. I know when to play and I know when to be calm for them. I have a day job in mid city, but I do have hour lunch breaks. It’s very centrally located. I also am a night owl so I am available most nights. I live in the bywater area so I don’t mind traveling to where I need to go. If it is a client’s home. I stick to the rules and requests that are made for me. I enjoy walking animals or playing in one’s backyard with them.

About: Hi! I’ve had dogs my entire life and they’ve always been at the center of my world. My most recent pup, Effy, was with me for 15 years — she was truly the love of my life. While I’m not quite ready to have a dog of my own again, I couldn’t imagine my life without them, which is why I’m so excited to be here on Rover! Your pet will be loved and cared for like my own. I can’t wait to meet them I work from home Monday–Friday, so your pet will have my full attention throughout the day — no long stretches alone. I am able to work remotely so care during the day is no issue. I live in an apartment in Meraux above my dad’s office, so while there’s no yard, we have plenty of space to get outside for walks. There are stairs, but I’m happy to carry pets up and down as needed.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was 6 years old. I currently have 3 dogs, a cat, and a chinchilla in my family that I care for. I absolutely adore all animals. I work for a nature institute and have a lot of experience meeting the needs of and caring for a variety of animals. I can care for dogs, cats, small animals, reptiles, and birds. I work full time, Monday through Friday. I am available for drop in visits and day care after 5:30 on weekdays. I am available most weekends at any time. I have 2 housemates that love dogs and cats. Your pet will be given a lot of love and attention from us. We have a small backyard but a good walk around the neighborhood will always be given!
