About: Hi, I’m Maya 😊 I work as a Trainer at a pet resort and have years of hands-on experience with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and reptiles. I offer pet sitting only, and I currently take clients located in Hartford County. I’m available for sittings and I genuinely love what I do making sure pets feel safe, understood, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m knowledgeable about breed behavior, body language, and basic nutrition. I also administer medications when needed, and I’m CPR trained for dogs. About: I volunteered at an animal shelter with dogs and cats of all ages and behavioral needs. I also fostered puppies and adult dogs. I am comfortable with training and grooming. I work full-time, but am mostly remote and have plenty of time in the evenings and mornings to take care of pets, though I am unable to have a pet of my own. I am a big proponent of crate training, but will follow the owner’s lead on how they wish for their pet to be taken care of.

About: At home I've been taking care of Ramsey, my small, high-energy, dog for almost 9 years. In these 9 years I've gained a larger a sense of responsibility and my love for animals has grown tremendously. I know how to communicate with dogs and read dog body language in order to cater to their needs and give them best care. As a recent graduate, I have more flexibility in my schedule, I can dedicate ample time to caring for my pets. This includes feeding, grooming, walking, and spending quality time with them to ensure their well-being and happiness. Engaging in activities like playing, training, and companionship not only enriches their lives but also brings a sense of purpose to my day. While job hunting, I find solace and a sense of responsibility in taking care of my pets, creating a positive and fulfilling routine amidst my current situation. At home I make sure my dog cannot access anything that can harm him. I close doors to the bathroom so he can’t access the trash can and I put gates up around the house to areas he can’t be in. During walks I am very careful and aware of my surroundings. If I walk at night, I walk in a well lit area with a few friends.

About: I used to help care for a friend/family member’s fur kids, and honestly, I miss it more than I expected. When I moved out, they haven’t needed me as much, but a little sad for me! I miss the walks, the feeding routines, and all those quiet little bonding moments. I may be new to Rover, but I see it as the perfect excuse to get back to something I really enjoy. Think of me as your pet’s cool aunt with patience, care, and a lot of affection. My top priority is making every pet feel safe and comfortable, like they’re with someone they already trust. And yes, I fully believe in extra belly rubs and a little goofy energy when needed. I’m pretty flexible right now, so I’d really appreciate some advance notice to help me plan my schedule. I’d also love to do a quick meet-and-greet beforehand to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, secure, and at ease. Whether it’s playtime, feeding, walks or park runs, bringing some goofy energy, or just relaxing together. Of course, plenty of belly rubs whenever they’re wanted. I adapt to whatever they need. I’m also happy to follow any instructions you have to keep things consistent for your fur kid.

About: What sets me apart is my ability to provide personalized care for dogs of all ages and energy levels! I am able to administer any necessary medications as well as keep high energy dogs and pups happy with long walks/runs and plenty of playtime. I’ve also cared for litters of puppies. No matter their age/personality I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable and loved! I am a night shift ICU nurse so I only work 3 days a week and pet care fits incredibly well into my daily/weekly routine! I can do various things around the home as needed such as cleaning up after your pet, I could tire them out with play/exercise, keep them safe and administer medication if needed.
