I have been professionally caring for pets for over two years. Additionally, I have daily experience caring for my two boys, Jasper and Felix (both cats), as well as my fish (90-gallon tank). I have experience with senior pets, pets requiring medications (even the most stubborn of cats!), special needs animals, and high-energy breeds. I have personal experiences with rodents and bunnies and am open to caring for exotic animals. I have always had pets in the house while growing up, and now I have two cats and numerous fish that I care for and adore. As a kid, part of my daily chores included caring for dogs, cats, fish, mice, and miniature guinea pigs--an evolving group of family pets throughout the years. Since moving to CT, I've been limited to only my cat, Jasper, as I am a renter. I've volunteered to pet-sit and dog-walk for my friends in my spare time to get more interactions with the animals I love. My friend with two huskies recently moved away, so I'm looking for more dogs to walk. I would walk these dogs up to six miles, so I am definitely open for long-walks as well.

I care for other people's pets like I do my own: with love and care. Jasper is the light of my life and I want to give back to these animals that give so much to us any way I can. I also am very conscious of other peoples' spaces and belongings and respect them. I am actively looking for dogs to walk and for cats and other animals to play with and feed.

We were nervous to use rover as the last time the sitter cancelled last minute but then we were having problems with boarding facilities, so we decided to try again. We couldn’t be happier that we found Katie. She was excellent. Was able to accommodate multiple day drops in to care of our dog while we were gone for a week. She communicated very well which allowed us to adjust plans as needed to make sure Cooper was safe and happy while we were away. Would book again for sure.
Katie was the best and she went above and beyond taking care of my dog. Unfortunately, he had horrific diarrhea overnight between visits, and he also peed all over the house, something he has only done a few times in his life when he's been sick. Katie did an amazing job cleaning everything up - it was on the carpet, floor and couch. In addition, she hosed him down. She moved her next visit up after that, to be able to let him out sooner. I was able to make last minute arrangements for him to stay with my son. She shouldn't have had to deal with that unfortunate situation, but she was very courteous and concerned. In addition, Katie was prompt, she communicated well, and my dog took an immediate shine to her during the Meet and Greet.
Katie did a great job with my sassy cat! I really appreciated her consistency and communication, she made sure my cat had no interruption in her daily medications which was a big relief to me while on my vacation. I would absolutely hire her again and recommend her to others.

Schedule
I often work from home, so I am generally free to walk or play throughout the day. I find dog walking to be a great source of exercise and outdoor-time for me, so I look to find dogs to care for even if I currently cannot have dogs of my own due to renting. My cat, Jasper, and some cats of my friends are always a joy to play with.

- Please let me know if there are any specific eating, play, and walking habits for your dog. If your dog has any injuries to keep an eye out for, places they do not like to be pet, or sounds/objects they do not like, I would like to know so I can respect them. If they have any tricks (paw, roll-over, etc) you would like me to try, those are great, too!
