Sue is possessed of good judgment, good humor, and good will, making her a highly reliable and kind person with whom to work. Her experience as a dog owner, her general love of dogs, and her energy and personal character go really well in helping other pet owners with walking and care of family dogs.”

About: I was raised with both cats and dogs and have been responsible for pet care my entire life. As an adult, my husband and I have had our own cat who we cared for together. Sadly our elderly cat passed away and we are not yet ready for a new furry friend. We have decided to pet sit so we can still enjoy the company of cats. I work outside the home while my husband works from home. He has plenty of time to pet and play with cats during the day and we are home together in the morning/evening for feeding and changing the litter box. We live in a south facing apartment with lots of windows and sunshine for lounging in the sun. Our home is warm and has lots of cozy places for a cat to nap.
15. Sofia & Marco L.
“I have known Sofia for about 17 years, and in that time, she has always had a deep love for dogs. In September of 2017, we were presented with an opportunity to adopt a puppy in need, that had been abandoned on the side of the road with its litter mates and mother. The puppies were initially rescued by a mutual friend and were kept safe until they were old enough to be adopted. Sofia and I both jumped on the chance to rescue these pups and give them the homes they deserved. I took a pup who I named Larry, and Sofia brought home Bruno. Bruno is a great dog. He is loyal, friendly, obedient, and sweet as can be, and I know a big part of that comes from the way Sofia raised and trained him. Sofia worked with Bruno diligently in the first few months of adopting him. She was firm with him, but also patient and kind. Bruno lives a good life chasing squirrels, playing soccer, going on walks, eating treats, and being spoiled by his loving parents. I know without a doubt in my mind that Sofia would care for your pet the exact same way she cares for her baby Bruno. She loves him endlessly and is such a great dog mom to him. Sofia is one of the most responsible and hard working people I know. She has an effective communication style, and will make sure all your dog’s needs are met while you are away. I have trusted Sofia with my own dog, who is 10x more crazy than Bruno, and she handled him effortlessly. Your pup will be in great hands with Sofia, I promise.”

About: Grew up with four cats for most of my early life, and now I'm the proud pet parent of my own cat and dog. I've fostered a few different times, and collected other caretaking knowledge from my partner of five years. She's been a pet stylist for the better part of 7 years, and throughout that time I've assisted her in bathings, grooming, walking, pet visits, pet sitting, fostering, etc. I'm branching out now to build my own clients and I had you'll consider me. I'm diligent, kind, and thorough, so know that considering me as your pets caretaker, is to consider someone who's a proud pet owner and continuous pet helper. I'm currently assisting my partner of 5 years with her grooming and small business, so my schedule is pretty flexible. My own pets are well cared for and I'm able to juggle both aspects of my life well. Depending on the service depends on the specifics, but generally I take a slow and kind approach to animals that don't know me yet, giving them the chance to come to me first. I'll give them treats and good scratches to build trust, and they quickly grow to like me. I have a fostered German Shepard in my home currently with various issues from abusers in the past and within the first week of constant bacon and ham treats, I earned her trust. Now she looks to me with trust, excitement, and love. That's the kind of experience my animals expect at home and what I expect of your fur babies when I get to meet them myself.

18. Katie B.
“Katie was amazing & very easy to get in touch with, and my kitties enjoyed their time with her as well. Made a trip out of the country less stressful for sure knowing they were in good hands! Highly recommended to book with her!”

About: I have been dog sitting for friends, family, and coworkers for years, but have been doing it more frequently and seriously the past two years. People in my life have relied on me to walk, feed, groom, and even take their pets for swims! I have experience that ranges from taking a senior dog outside once a day to staying at a client's house for two weeks taking care of their highly energetic golden retriever. I am happy to answer any questions you may have about my experience at your time of booking! :) I am currently working part-time, and will not be working in August, so I have plenty of time to play with and walk your pup! I also have the ability to work remotely, so if your pup likes to hangout all day I can make that work as well! I live in an apartment with no yard, so I take my dog for frequent walks to Elizabeth Park in Hartford. These walks generally last 30-60 minutes and are taken twice a day, with one short walk (15 minutes around the block) in the middle of the day. When house sitting/caring for a dog at a client's home, I like to have a meeting prior to the days of service to go over how my client would like their pet cared for in their own home.
20. Jayda C.
“Jayda is a close work friend of mine. The words I would use to describe her are charismatic, trustworthy, friendly, loving, and caring. While I was on vacation, Jayda offered to take care of my two year old Havanese. She did a great job with everything! Jayda Cruz would be an excellent candidate for your service at Rover.com.”
