Irene is fantastic. She was very patient with our large 95 lb dog, who is gentle but shy with new people. She formed a nice bond with her, and was extremely reliable and always communicated and verified the drop-ins, as they changed every week over our 10 week period. Irene takes great pictures and provides excellent reports. She does not hesitate to reach out if she has a question or concern during her drop ins. We are looking forward to having Irene visit our girl again.

About: 🐾 Howdy Hey! Hi! I’m a UCI student, certified EMT, and cat mom who truly understands how important it is to find someone you trust with your cat. I’ve cared for cats throughout my life and currently have a kitten of my own, so I know cats are not “low-maintenance” pets — they have routines, preferences, boundaries, and emotional needs just like dogs do. My goal is to care for your cat with the same patience, attention, and love that I give my own. Whether your cat is playful, shy, curious, cuddly, anxious, senior, or more independent, I’ll meet them where they are and help them feel safe, respected, and comfortable. 🐱 My Cat Care Philosophy I believe cats deserve enrichment, stimulation, and individualized attention — not just food, water, and a clean litter box. Cats deserve to live their best lives too, and I love creating a calm, engaging environment that supports their natural instincts. Depending on your cat’s personality and comfort level, care may include: • Feeding and fresh water • Litter box maintenance • Playtime with wand toys, toy mice, tunnels, or your cat’s favorite toys • Treat puzzles or simple enrichment activities • Scratching opportunities • Cozy resting spots and calm companionship • Brushing, if your cat enjoys it • Medication support, if instructions are provided • Regular photo updates so you know how your cat is doing I also offer safe indoor bird-watching enrichment. I have a bird-feeding area outside where cats can enjoy “cat TV” from a secure indoor window view. Cats remain fully indoors and safe at all times — this is visual enrichment only, with no outdoor access or contact with wildlife. 🏡 Cat Boarding in My Home For boarding, I aim to create a calm, safe, home-based environment where your cat can settle in without feeling overwhelmed. I keep care intentionally limited so each pet gets focused attention and is not treated like just another booking. Because I have a cat of my own, I do not force cat-to-cat interactions. Your cat’s safety and comfort come first. I can provide a separated space with their own food, water, litter box, cozy resting area, toys, and enrichment. If your cat needs time to decompress, hide, observe, or slowly adjust, I completely respect that. I understand that some cats are social and curious, while others need quiet, patience, and personal space. I’ll follow your cat’s usual routine as closely as possible to help reduce stress while you’re away. 🧼 Cleanliness & Safety I take cleanliness seriously, especially when caring for cats. Litter boxes, food areas, water bowls, surfaces, and shared items are cleaned regularly. I also pay close attention to changes in appetite, litter box habits, energy level, behavior, and overall well-being. My EMT background has made me detail-oriented, calm, and observant, which helps me notice when something seems off and communicate clearly with owners. Before boarding or visits, I like to know about your cat’s: • Feeding schedule • Litter box habits • Medical needs or medications • Favorite toys and enrichment • Hiding spots or comfort items • Personality and handling preferences • Stress triggers • Behavior around other cats The more I know about your cat’s routine, the better I can care for them. 🌿 Outdoor / Catio Policy For safety, I do not provide outdoor roaming, balcony access, or unsupervised outdoor time. Boarding cats will remain indoors in a secure environment. For drop-in visits, I’m happy to follow your cat’s normal routine if they have a fully enclosed, secure catio at home. Catio time must be discussed ahead of time and will only be provided if it is safe, enclosed, and owner-approved. 💬 Communication You can expect clear communication, thoughtful questions, and regular photo updates. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so I want you to feel reassured that your cat is safe, comfortable, enriched, and genuinely cared for. Thank you for trusting me with your cat. I’ll treat them with the same care, patience, and attention I give my own. As a UCI student and certified EMT, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable care throughout the day (or night). Whether caring for dogs or cats, I strive to keep each pet's routine as consistent as possible while their owner is away. During visits, I provide fresh food and water, exercise or playtime, bathroom or litter box maintenance, enrichment, and companionship tailored to each pet's personality and needs. My goal is to help your pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their familiar environment. Every pet has a unique personality, routine, and set of needs. Before each booking, I take time to learn about feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medications, favorite activities, and any behavioral or medical concerns. As a certified EMT, I'm attentive, calm under pressure, and comfortable recognizing changes in behavior, appetite, activity level, and overall well-being. I understand that dogs and cats thrive when their routines are respected, and I work to create a safe, positive, and low-stress experience while you're away. I also provide regular photo updates and clear communication so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands.

I recently had to return to the office full-time after working from home for the past three years, and I was quite anxious about leaving my dog alone for eight hours. A friend recommended Rover, and I decided to give it a try, though I was initially hesitant about having someone come to my place and take care of my dog. That's when I found Lisa, who lives nearby. We arranged a meet-up last week, and to my surprise, I realized I have known her husband and her dog, Bodie, for the past three years from our neighborhood walks. This connection instantly put me at ease, and I was thrilled to have found someone I could trust. Lisa has been incredible this week, taking care of my dog during the middle of the day. She sends me pictures and updates on how he's doing, which reassures me while I'm at work. Her dedication, communication, and reliability have been outstanding. I highly recommend Lisa to anyone in need of a trustworthy and dependable dog sitter. She's been a lifesaver during this transition, and I couldn't be happier with the care she's provided.

About: What sets me apart is the level of patience, attention, and personalized care I give every dog. With over 10 years of experience caring for my own dogs and those of friends and family, I've learned that every pup has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs, including those who are blind or hard of hearing. I'm comfortable adapting my approach to meet each dog's individual needs, whether that means providing a calm environment, sticking to a consistent routine, or offering extra patience and reassurance. I treat every dog as if they were my own, and I understand how important it is for pet parents to feel confident while they're away. That's why I provide reliable communication, regular photo updates, and plenty of love, playtime, and attention so you can have peace of mind knowing your dog is in caring hands. Since I'm not currently working, I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate my time and attention to the pets in my care. This allows me to provide consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship throughout the day. I enjoy building my daily routine around each dog's individual needs, whether they have a high-energy schedule, prefer a slower pace, or need extra patience and attention. My goal is to give every pet a safe, loving environment where they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while their family is away. When your dog stays with me, they'll be treated like part of the family. I provide a safe, loving environment where they'll receive plenty of attention, affection, and exercise throughout the day. I live in an apartment with lots of grassy areas for potty breaks, and I'm right next to the San Diego Creek Trail, which is perfect for walks and getting fresh air. I'll follow your dog's usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, and any special instructions you provide. Dogs are welcome to make themselves at home! They're more than welcome on my couch and can sleep in my bed if that's what they prefer. I love spending quality time with dogs, whether that means going on walks, playing, giving belly rubs and scratches, or cuddling up if they enjoy snuggles. At the same time, I understand that every dog is different, so if your pup prefers their own space, I'll always respect their boundaries and let them relax at their own pace. My goal is to make your dog feel comfortable, loved, and at home while giving you peace of mind that they're receiving the same care and affection I'd give my own pet.

About: I'm the go-to pet sitter for my friends and family. I am experienced with helping them walk, feed, play, and clean up when I have their fur babies in my care. I love to pet and play with pets. In fact, you will find me frequenting a pet store just to look at pets! For the past 3 years, I lived with 2 dogs in a house. And I have a lot of experience taking care of them and come to understand well that each dog comes with their own set of unique characteristics and personalities. I've always enjoyed spending time around animals and I find dogs to be adorable and calming to be around. You know you're in good hands as you can count on me to ensure your dog is taken care of! I am currently working part-time so I operate on a fairly flexible schedule where I will have plenty of time to watch your pet. I will be scheduling doggy daycare and services around the days I am off work from my other job. I also live with my husband who is also a dog-lover who works remotely 2 days out of the week, you can trust that there will be an extra pair of eyes that can help watch your pet. I live in a clean condo with wooden floors. I also have a fenced back patio. If your dog ever needs a potty or a bathroom break, they can easily go in this outside patio area.

About: I’ve had a drive to care for animals my entire life! I grew up with dogs and mostly cats and would dog-sitting for family members anytime they needed! I’ve always known that I wanted to work with animals when I grew up but veterinary care would make me too sad as it physically pains me to see sad and hurt animals:( I also have a history with horses and competing! I spent a summer(2023) in Louisiana volunteering at a barn where retired racehorses would get sent to rehab, retrain, and eventually rehome! I would spend all day helping rehab the horses! I worked at PetSmart both in the store as a PetCare Specialist and in the Grooming Salon as a Professional Bather! During my time there I realized how much I love making pets and their parents happy and a little more healthier! I loved talking with pet parents and educating them while also hearing about their furry babies! Nothing made me happier than seeing one of my clients walking in - tail wagging! I have a dog and a cat of my own! My dog is a mini Australian Shepherd whom I have trained myself! He loves to do agility training! I also groom him myself! I rescued my cat from the side of a freeway when he was a little kitten. He’s had some medical issues regarding his bladder so I’m well rounded with cat care and administering medicine! My cat is now my little Velcro kitty who always wants to be involved in what I’m doing! I’ve worked with all kinds of dogs- big and small! While I normally don’t have a preference between the two, I am currently pregnant with my first so I’m only really able to physically handle small/medium dogs for the time being. As a pet mom myself, pet care is a daily routine for me! I am a stay at home wife (soon to be mom) and spend most of my days spoiling my dog and cat! I’m new to the area so I don’t really have much that gets me out of the house and I absolutely love being around animals so I figured why not try to fill my time by helping other pet parents out who may not have as much time on their hands as I do! I’m very flexible with scheduling and last minute bookings so never hesitate to reach out! During my time working in the PetSmart grooming salon, I became very used to nervous and anxious dogs as grooming time can be very stressful for pets! I’d say I’m pretty good at recognizing anxious behavior and doing my best at making pups more comfortable! I also understand how nerve wracking it can be to trust someone with your pet - especially someone new! I have had an experience in the past that left me traumatized when it comes to leaving my pets in someone else’s care. So I too understand that overwhelming need to check in on your baby and make sure everything is going well! I promise you, as someone who has been on the other end, I am always welcoming to multiple check in texts, long lists, picture requests, and the need for as many details as possible! I’m someone who likes to feel sure in what they’re doing so if I have any questions or concerns- they will be brought up immediately. I never like to assume because there’s always a chance I could be wrong, so I like to get all the details!

About: I’ve either owned or lived with a pet almost my entire life! I’ve also been a pet sitter for friends and family for around a decade. I’ve had multiple family dogs and I’ve dog sat extensively too. A variety of sizes, breeds, and ages. I’ve cared for senior dogs with special needs and administering pills before too. I work full time but am only in office Tuesdays and Thursdays in Huntington Beach. I am only available to check in on pets before 8:30am and after 5pm for those days. Otherwise, I work from home and have much more flexibility for check-ins on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I don’t work on the weekends so I am open then as well. I am very responsible when it comes to caring for pets in their own home and for walks! I make sure to complete each necessary step for their care and ask questions to pet parents if necessary. I pay attention to doors not being left open (we wouldn’t want any escapees!) and I am sure to lock the door when leaving.

My cats and I have been lucky customers of Jennie and Bennie for a few years, and I'm pretty sure they like Jennie better than me at this point - and I love it. Jennie has regular playdates with them every week, and it's the HIGHLIGHT of their week. I have to temporarily relocate for work for about a month, and I'm bringing them with me, and I'm pretty sure they're never going to forgive me for separating them from Aunt Jennie for that long. Looking forward to seeing her when we get back!
