“Thavery was really great taking care of our Teddy over the weekend. We did a meet and greet to ensure our dogs were good with each other and to also meet with Thavery as well. She was understanding of our separation anxiety with our 3rd baby, and she made us feel at ease knowing she would take good care of our Teddy. Since she is a dog owner as well, she knows how much love we give and receive from our fur babies, and how they really are our family. She kept us updated several times per day with pictures and videos, and that was wonderful to see. About: I have grown up my whole life with dogs, and I am very comfortable around all types. I have volunteered at the Dane County Humane Society as an Adoption Counselor while in college, so I have undergone behavior training for many aspects of dog care. I am familiar with walking dogs on leases, with harnesses, using commands, as well as resource guarding, jumpy/mouthy/mounting behavior, shy/fearfulness, and escape artists. I only use positive reinforcement for training. I have an educational background in genetics and public health, and I am involved in my local religious community as well. I’ve lived in OC for about 3 years now, having moved from the Midwest. In my spare time I’m learning to crochet, and I love playing with my dog Pax, a chihuahua/pomeranian mix whom I’ve recently adopted. I work from home, so am around most of the day, and have a small fenced in patio for potty breaks between walks. I’m a fan of the local dog parks, and will bring your dog there with your permission. I work from home, so my dog gets a minimum of 3 walks around the neighborhood and we often go to a local dog park too after work. I’m rarely away from home for more than 4 hours at a time. My fenced in patio is open for potty breaks, but I usually do a minimum of 3 walks per day around my neighborhood. I’m also happy to bring them to dog parks for socialization. Since I have a dog myself, there will also be plenty of socialization at home.

About: I grew up with cats! I come from a line of cat lovers so I’ve always been comfortable with and prefer cats in some ways! I have a cat of my own who I rescued from the side of a busy freeway about a year and a half ago. My cat got diagnosed with FIC last September which causes him to have very painful bladder flare ups. I had to adjust to a new and delicate routine with him so I fully understand how sensitive cats can be! He requires prescription diet as well as medicine. A lot of people say cats are easier because they’re less maintenance which I totally disagree on! Cats may prefer less attention at times but they certainly need and deserve just as much care as any other pet!

I am very responsible when it comes to caring for pets in their own home and for walks! I make sure to complete each necessary step for their care and ask questions to pet parents if necessary. I pay attention to doors not being left open (we wouldn’t want any escapees!) and I am sure to lock the door when leaving.

About: I have cared for animals all my life. Growing up my family had a sweet shelter dog and many cats. We cared for very young pets to senior pets. Now, I have my own little dog whom I rescued from the shelter. I appreciate that all animals have their own unique personalities and quirks. I work remotely and can give your pet child all the attention they need. I am happy to prep their food and accommodate them while you are away. I have a pet stroller and pet carriers to use as needed. For boarding your dog child, I take my dog on walks throughout the day and once before bedtime, and I will take your dog as well. They are allowed on the sofa and I have multiple dog beds throughout the home. I currently work remotely so I will can give your dog child all the attention it needs while they adjust. I will treat your dog child like I do my own. Typically, I walk my dog throughout the day and once before bedtime to make sure they don’t feel any discomfort. I tailor my care for your pup, so if your pup loves to sleep I will happily give them the time and space to. If your dog loves walking then I make sure to take them on walks. I have pet carriers, a pet stroller, and dog car seats in my car to use as needed. I will send you photos throughout the day or as often as you request. I take their safety very seriously. If I sense any discomfort, I immediately try to address it in the most appropriate way, whether it be cuddles or space to decompress. I will never take your dog to the dog park and I will closely monitor any interactions with dogs during walks (if you have any concerns please let me know). I always leave water out for them and make sure they are fed according to their food schedule. I will attach an Apple ID tag to them for GPS. For dog boarding, since I have a small 12 lb chihuahua poodle mix, I kindly request meeting in a nearby park first so we can check that the pups will get along before taking them to my home. About: I’ve had a drive to care for animals my entire life! I grew up with dogs and mostly cats and would dog-sitting for family members anytime they needed! I’ve always known that I wanted to work with animals when I grew up but veterinary care would make me too sad as it physically pains me to see sad and hurt animals:( I also have a history with horses and competing! I spent a summer(2023) in Louisiana volunteering at a barn where retired racehorses would get sent to rehab, retrain, and eventually rehome! I would spend all day helping rehab the horses! I worked at PetSmart both in the store as a PetCare Specialist and in the Grooming Salon as a Professional Bather! During my time there I realized how much I love making pets and their parents happy and a little more healthier! I loved talking with pet parents and educating them while also hearing about their furry babies! Nothing made me happier than seeing one of my clients walking in - tail wagging! I have a dog and a cat of my own! My dog is a mini Australian Shepherd whom I have trained myself! He loves to do agility training! I also groom him myself! I rescued my cat from the side of a freeway when he was a little kitten. He’s had some medical issues regarding his bladder so I’m well rounded with cat care and administering medicine! My cat is now my little Velcro kitty who always wants to be involved in what I’m doing! I’ve worked with all kinds of dogs- big and small! While I normally don’t have a preference between the two, I am currently pregnant with my first so I’m only really able to physically handle small/medium dogs for the time being. About: I have taken my daughter’s and friends dogs out for walks, I enjoy interacting with dogs have watched my daughter’s dog for overnight for few nights. About: I have grown up my whole life with dogs, and I am very comfortable around all types. I have volunteered at the Dane County Humane Society as an Adoption Counselor while in college, so I have undergone behavior training for many aspects of dog care.
