“This was my first time using Rover and I am so happy that it was Brooke! Brooke visited my cat twice a day to feed her and keep her company over the July 4 holiday weekend. I would not hesitate to ask her again! Here are the reasons. 1) Brooke was very professional even before the stay. She came out to meet my cat twice before I left. She initially came to my house, and then when my a/c died, I moved my cat to my brother's house, and Brooke came there too, to learn my cat's routine, get a key, etc. 2) Brooke was very responsive, and kept me updated - letting me know when she was visiting my cat, sending photos, etc. 3) Brooke was very conscientious about my brother's house (where my cat stayed). I left out enough clean bowls that she could have used a new food bowl every day, but she washed up the bowls after feeding my cat (it's wet food, so the bowls get crusty). She also scooped the litter box and took those bags to the outdoor trash so they weren't in the house for days. 4) My cat was happy to see me, but not desperate - if that makes sense. It was clear that she had been cared for. Thank you again, Brooke!”

“I appreciate Joshua's quick communicating on short notice. We were able to have a nice chat when I dropped off my dogs and make sure everything was okay with his 2 dogs. My booking that day was a pretty long one and he had no problem stepping up to help out. He also took my dogs out for a run, even though I did not ask that from him because it was above and beyond. He happily met my request for extra precaution to block off/shore up the perimeter on the side of house because I was a little concerned about the gate/fence latch that had 1 fastener loose. After I picked my Huskies up late evening, they were even more calm than usual about coming home and winding down for bedtime. Whatever magic Joshua worked, it was much appreciated!”

“Zoey is a very anxious dog and gets very nervous when going to new places. We met Rebecca at her home and we first took Zoey and her dog hunter for a walk. I was in shock because Zoey will only walk a small area that she's familiar with, once she gets to a certain point, she's headed for home. I stopped Rebecca and told her this never happens. This was my first indication of it being a good fit. We than went to her backyard yard. Zoey sat in my lap for a bit, I put her down and she sniffed around the yard, went in the house to check things out. Again, no signs if being anxious. R3becca is very calm and her well behaved dog was an indication that she has spent time teaching good behavior. I think I could learn a few things from her.”

About: I have always loved dogs of all sizes and breeds ever since I was younger, but my parents used to be scared of them, so as soon as I went to college, I started telling all my friends that if they need any dog sitting services they can absolutely use me and I'd just watch them for free. For the last 5 years, I've been dog sitting, ranging from a couple hours to five days at a time and enjoyed every moment of it! I work from home all day, except for going into to my in person job 3pm-6pm Monday through Friday. I am home most weekends and especially with pet care would prioritize my schedule around being home for the fur babies!! I would be in an apartment so unfortunately I don't have a yard, but I do plan to take the doggos for walks around my residential neighborhood, and I plan to be extremely attentive to the pets so that everything goes smoothly. He lived a long life and passed away in my arms at 17, which taught me how deeply pets become part of the family. Later, when I became a parent myself, we brought two dogs into our home right away. One of them had a congenital condition, and for 10 years we cared for him very attentively, making sure he lived a happy and comfortable life. This gave me strong experience not only in daily care, but also in supporting dogs with medical needs. Now our second dog has lost his companion, and I came to Rover to be helpful to other families and their pets. I always adjust the activity level to your dog’s needs and personality. I also provide regular updates with photos and videos so you can feel comfortable while you’re away. We live in a bright, spacious apartment where your dog will feel comfortable and safe. I accept one dog at a time, or two dogs from the same family, so each pet can receive plenty of attention and care. My child is 16 years old and has a great understanding of how to interact with animals respectfully and calmly. You can leave all your instructions, preferences, and schedules — I will follow them carefully to make sure your dog feels at home and stays in their usual routine.
