About: I have professional dog care experience from working at Hounds Town, where I managed dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels in safe group and individual settings. I’m also Dog Management Level 2 certified, with training in dog behavior, handling, and safety. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I’m used to planning my schedule around dogs’ needs like walks, feeding, playtime, and consistent attention from my experience at Hounds Town. I also have a rescue dog of my own who requires extra patience and understanding, so I’m very comfortable caring for shy, anxious, or nervous dogs who may require more time to become comfortable. Providing calm, attentive, and reliable care is something I truly enjoy and prioritize every day. For drop-in visits, I follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, and quality time with play or affection based on their personality. I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. During walks, I prioritize safety with secure leash handling and awareness of our surroundings. I adjust each walk to your dog’s pace and energy level. Whether that’s an active walk or a relaxed stroll with time to sniff. I also send updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and in good hands.

“Andrea is AWESOME! My pup loves spending time with her and is always excited to see her. She is reliable, caring and communicative. I’ve booked her several times and will continue to look for chances to work with her!”

“Jennifer takes care of our elderly Bruce extremely well, she is willing to change her schedule to accommodate our need a pet parents. She is a wonderful caregiver and we are happy with her care.”

“The proof of Jackie’s expertise is with the pups. They adored her. She is obviously a dog person. We’ll be booking her again as a sitter. I know that bean and sprout will have a wonderful time with her. Thanks Jackie!”

“Brianna was absolutely wonderful. So kind and caring, she took such good care of my puppy like she was her own. Took her on walks, played with her, laid with her, fed her made sure she went to the bathroom before she left. Will be using her again!!!”

“We love Tina! She has provided excellent care for my deaf dog Sassy and even knows sign language. She is great at keeping you up to date of what your pet has been up to while at work. I look forward to continue working with Tina!”

“Emma is fantastic! This was my first time using this app and it was such a positive experience. Paulie loved her and she’s very responsive. Will definitely book with her again in the future.”

“I have a large, energetic 80 lb Saint Berdoodle (Archie), and I specifically hired Ian because Archie needs more enrichment, structure, and help with his manners—especially his habit of jumping on people at home and on walks. From our very first meet-and-greet, I could tell Ian knew exactly how to handle a rambunctious dog. He was calm, confident, and immediately comfortable managing Archie’s energy. He even offered helpful suggestions for training and recommended calming treats, which I really appreciated. Ian has walked Archie several times now, and he’s been consistently reliable, trustworthy, and communicative. It’s such a relief knowing Archie is in good hands and getting both exercise and guidance. I highly recommend Ian to anyone with a high-energy or large dog who needs not just a walk, but someone who understands behavior and structure.”

“Very trustworthy with my dog and I know she has a good understanding of best practices when walking dogs of all skill levels! Always appreciate how good she is about being on time and giving updates.”

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life. I am currently always watching/walking/playing with my sisters 2 year old shar pei and just welcomed an 8 week old lab. I also spend time with my 11 year old family dog so I have experience with all types of dogs no matter the age size or breed. :) I’m a recent college graduate home for the summer before starting grad school in August. I have full flexibility and am just trying to get some extra cash this summer! I will have water and bowl for all walks and can walk your dog anywhere you prefer for any length of time! I will keep the walking routine as close as possible to what your dog is used to.
About: My name is Karlyn. I started working in pet care in 2018 at a pet hotel and doggy daycare. I joined Rover in 2019, and I worked at another dog boarding facility/daycare from 2023-2025. I have extensive training in how to properly care for your dogs (and cats!) I have experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have three rescue dogs; a 12 year old Papillon named Archie, a 2 year old Papillon named Zoloft, and a 6 year old Maltipoo named Toaster! Although I absolutely adore all dogs, small dogs will always hold a special place in my heart. A little more about me: I am 31 years old and I am an on-set prop master in television/film. I am located in Cheektowaga, but I have a car so I don’t mind traveling a few extra miles! I work freelance so I have an abundance of free time between films! I have no other responsibilities when I’m off set, so I can focus all of my energy on your furry friend! I do everything in my power to make each pet feel comfortable and loved. I also spend a lot of time exercising and mentally stimulating each pet.

About: I have experience taking care of pets, as I have owned a dog myself. I've worked in animal care most of my career, working for institutions such as The Buffalo Zoo, Hidden Valley Animal Adventure, Pet Supplies Plus, dog kennels, etc. I love being around animals, and intend to do so the rest of my life! I'm currently working as a personal trainer at Catalyst Fitness, so I am needed when clients have training sessions. However, this will never extend for more than a few hours (at most maybe 4-5) at a time. So even if I need to go to a training session(s), I can be right back to take care of the animals afterwards! I can constantly provide your pets with enrichment. Whether that be through walking, playing, or just general outside time. I love nature/the environment, so I love getting outdoors. So if that's what your pets enjoy I can absolutely provide! However, I realize animals have a wide spectrum of emotions and preferences, so I am very flexible to provide whatever is best for your pets!
“Claudia has been a blessing for us this past week. Because of the confidence we had in her, we were able to travel to celebrate our granddaughter's first birthday. Our beloved Henry was in good hands with Claudia and she demonstrated great compassion and consideration for his needs. It's nice to know she is pursuing a career in caring for animals with special needs, as know so many will benefit from her caring heart!”

About: Chilling with pets is my favorite self-care! I have been taking care of cats and dogs for over 20 years. My speciality is rescue animals and all of my cats over the years have been from shelters. I've taken care of all types of cats and dogs from pugs to German Shepards, from kittens to senior cats. I am very gentle, compassionate, and give great pet back scratches! I currently work as a social worker and my schedule is very flexible. This means I am available outside a traditional Monday - Friday 9am-5pm schedule. I follow your instructions like a recipe and am proactive about asking questions related to the care of your pet. In addition, my former roommate is a practicing veterinarian and is on-call for me 24/7. :)
About: I started off with two dogs of my own as a teenager. After so many years of joy, they're no longer with me. People are often surprised that I had a hermit crab for 10 years. He died when I went on vacation, so I am very aware of the risks we take entrusting another with the care of a beloved pet. I also have about five years experience caring for a rabbit. I miss them all dearly, but the responsibility was huge as a pet parent. So, now I'm very happy to fill in for others when they're in need. I do have a steady part-time job, which leaves me room to do what I really enjoy- caring for pets! For my first Rover gig, I provided full-time day care for a puppy, but she's all grown up now. Ideally, I would do the whole situation over again with a new puppy because being a Dog Nanny is the best and most rewarding job I have ever had-potty training and all. I prefer to have my eyes on dogs at all times. They won't be outside alone, and will not be unleashed unless we're in a safe, enclosed area. If they have snacks or toys, they'll be supervised just in case.
About: I am a huge animal lover! I have had several cats and dogs in my lifetime and I thoroughly enjoy playing with and caring for my friends' and neighbors' pets. I am dependable and energetic and willing to assist with drop-in visits, hosting your pet in my home, or taking your dog for short or long walks whenever you need. I currently work from home, and I can make time to go for morning, lunchtime, or evening walks in the Buffalo, Amherst, and Kenmore areas. I have a fenced in yard and work from home, so I am home during the week. I also have a teenage son who loves to play with cats and dogs too.
University dog parents share their Rover experiences
Tatyjana was phenomenal! She took great care of our 8 month old corgi, Poke, during his walk and was careful to not let our 3 year old indoor cat outside during the process! She is very professional, and made sure to keep us updated from the start of the walk to it’s finish. We will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future.

So incredibly happy to have found Madeline!!!! Nikey adores her. She has great energy, is always down for walks and play time, no matter the weather. Which is amazing bc Nikey is always down for that too. Madeline is flexible and does a fantastic job with instructions. Zero complaints. She’s a keeper!

Highly recommend! Super dependable, communicative, and wonderful with dogs/puppies. They pay attention to detail, send pictures every visit, and always make sure my puppy gets exercise and affection. Truly a lifesaver for my busy schedule. My puppy adores her so much!

Abigail is the best, she’s an absolute lifesaver! This was our first time away from our 5-month-old pup, Toby, and Abigail understood the assignment! She is very dependable and was punctual to walking our little Toby which is crucial in his potty training schedule. We really appreciate her proactive communication. Abigail sent detailed messages and adorable pictures of our energetic pup which allowed us to be at peace while we were away. Abigail has demonstrated a high level of reliability and care for our little Toby and we highly recommend Abigail!
