About: I have taken care of all sorts of household pets my entire life, i am a expert belly and chin scratcher, love going outdoors on walks or staying in to keep them company, and have extensive experience cleaning up all sorts of pet messes! I am visiting NY for two months to take care of my Aunt and wanted to do some pet sitting on the side to get out of the house and enjoy some sweet local animals! About: All 3 of my animals I've owned throughout my life have lived full, happy lives. They also, however, required close supervision. Both cats were outdoor cats which required consistent grooming, tick repellant, and even medicine administration for when they ate something they shouldn't have, or developed infections (administering pills to a cat is a skill I'm proud to put on my resume.) My dog Connor developed an autoimmune disease, and required prednisone administration daily. He was also a very reactive dog to other dogs, so those behaviors I am very well-versed in handling. The same can be said for my partner's family's two dogs (black lab mix and white Dogo Argentino), and my sister's pug mix. Dogs are reactive for a reason and I do not judge them for it, I'm happy to accommodate their predispositions. I work completely remote (and to be truthful it's a pretty chill job day to day) so I'd consider myself the best option as someone who has a full time job outside of Rover! Plus, I love the company of pet sitting during the week. I'm of the belief that cats and dogs belong on the couch and the bed, so in my home they are allowed wherever they please. That being said, if you have more strict rules for your animals either inside my home or yours, I completely understand and have no problem carrying out your wishes (obviously.) My care style is attentive. I know that's another obvious answer, but I've always loved interacting with animals, playing with them, etc. It makes me happy.

About: I started off with two dogs of my own as a teenager. After so many years of joy, they're no longer with me. People are often surprised that I had a hermit crab for 10 years. He died when I went on vacation, so I am very aware of the risks we take entrusting another with the care of a beloved pet. I also have about five years experience caring for a rabbit. I miss them all dearly, but the responsibility was huge as a pet parent. So, now I'm very happy to fill in for others when they're in need. I do have a steady part-time job, which leaves me room to do what I really enjoy- caring for pets! For my first Rover gig, I provided full-time day care for a puppy, but she's all grown up now. Ideally, I would do the whole situation over again with a new puppy because being a Dog Nanny is the best and most rewarding job I have ever had-potty training and all. I prefer to have my eyes on dogs at all times. They won't be outside alone, and will not be unleashed unless we're in a safe, enclosed area. If they have snacks or toys, they'll be supervised just in case.

About: Hello! I started pet-sitting seriously in graduate school and had a consistent base of clients for two years. Later, I volunteered at a local humane society where I cared for and interacted with cats and dogs multiple times a week, for three years. This experience taught me a great deal more about dogs, including behaviors, breed traits, and exercise needs. While it's not my profession, animal care-taking has definitely become my passion! I treat every animal exactly how they want to be treated. Sometimes that is a lot of love and affection, but sometimes there are cats who like their distance! Whatever your animal needs, I'm happy to accommodate them. I have an extreme flexible schedule, and I can help with mid-day walks as well as routine AM/PM visits. I’m happy to accommodate last-minute needs or become a regular helper. It's an honor to have a key to someones home and to be trusted to care for their animals, and I take this very seriously. I am a guest in your home, but in that time your pet is family to me. I always make sure to leave a home neater than I found it, and will double, triple check that all is as it should be before I depart.
