About: Chilling with pets is my favorite self-care! I have been taking care of cats and dogs for over 20 years. My speciality is rescue animals and all of my cats over the years have been from shelters. I've taken care of all types of cats and dogs from pugs to German Shepards, from kittens to senior cats. I am very gentle, compassionate, and give great pet back scratches! I currently work as a social worker and my schedule is very flexible. This means I am available outside a traditional Monday - Friday 9am-5pm schedule. I follow your instructions like a recipe and am proactive about asking questions related to the care of your pet. In addition, my former roommate is a practicing veterinarian and is on-call for me 24/7. :)

About: My name is Karlyn. I am a safety-certified petcare specialist who formerly worked at a pet hotel and doggy day camp. I have extensive training in how to properly care for your dogs (and cats!) I have experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have a 7 year old Papillon rescue named Archie, and he is the love of my life! Although I absolutely adore all dogs, small dogs will always hold a special place in my heart. A little more about me: I am 27 years old and I am an on-set prop master in television/film. I am located in the Elmwood Village, but I have a car so I don’t mind traveling a few extra miles! I work freelance so I have an abundance of free time between films! I have no other responsibilities when I’m off set, so I can focus all of my energy on your furry friend! I do everything in my power to make each pet feel comfortable and loved. I also spend a lot of time exercising and mentally stimulating each pet.

About: While I've only recently had the pleasure of adopting a dog of my own, caring for the dogs of close relatives and acquaintances has allowed me to develop a genuine love for looking after them. Growing up, I regularly spent time with my neighbors' dogs--a pit bull and a boxer--which allowed me to have early experience with different breeds and activity levels. I've had my puppy, Baobao, for about 5 months now and I can confidently say that I'm enthusiastic about providing that same level of care and love to every dog that I look after--ensuring they feel happy and safe, just like they're my own! Aside from that, I love getting fresh air and staying active, and I particularly enjoy cardio-based activities like long walks! I'm currently a pharmacy student at University at Buffalo, so my day is typically open after 1 on weekdays. I'm available all day on Saturdays, and after church (around 12-1) on Sundays. Thursdays and Fridays are a little limited because of class. I live in an apartment complex and regularly take my dog on walks through the nearby neighborhood, where there's plenty of sidewalks. I'm also just a few minutes' walk from the North Buffalo Rails to Trails, which is a great space for longer walks. I always keep dogs leashed on walks and stay aware of our surroundings, doing my best to calmly guide them away from any potentially unsafe or stressful situations.

I’ve helped dogs of every breed, age, and size to find their furever homes, but there is a special place in my heart for senior pups. I am happy to administer meds, care for special needs, and provide and quiet and relaxing vacation for your pets. I also have experience with Trusted Housesitters and I’ve additionally cared for cats, guinea pigs, bunnies, fish, lizards, and my own pet tarantula. I’m currently transitioning to being back in the office full time, but have plenty of time before and after work for play time, learning tricks, and letting your pups show me around the neighborhood! I have experience with providing medications and supplements of every kind and catering to each dogs personal needs. I am able to provide daily exercise, mental stimulation, and lots of love!

I especially love teaching puppies tricks, such as "sit," "spin," "come here," I can teach them to recognize their names, and I can potty and crate train as well. I used to volunteer at the Nashville Humane Society walking and socializing dogs and cats, and I have experience taking care of animals with special needs or special medical instructions. I've had both cats, dogs, and a snake as pets, and I have experience petsitting other animals for neighbors such as different reptiles, ferrets, and bunnies, so I'm definitely capable of taking care of any animal with specific instructions. I also have a car to swing by at any time to take dogs on walks throughout the day or even drive to a dog park. I just moved to New York from Tennessee, so I'm a little new to the area.
