About: I provide dependable care with lots of attention, structure and communication so you never have to wonder if your fur baby is in the right hands. I work from home 5 days a week so whether your dog loves long walks, endless fetch sessions or simply some playtime and cuddles i am always available. I used to volunteer regularly at my local animal shelter and because of that I'm comfortable following detailed care instructions, maintaining routines, administering basic medications and caring for pets with different energy levels and temperaments.
“Sarah is an extraordinarily helpful and positive person. She will do her utmost to ensure your pet is looked after and happy. She is responsible and trustworthy and knows how to give your pet space when they need it. I will definitely be reaching out to her in the future!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs since I was 10, including six Chihuahuas, a Pit Bull, and now a Border Collie and Australian Shepherd. I’m experienced with different personalities, energy levels, and needs, and I understand the importance of patience, consistency, exercise, and affection. What sets me apart is my lifelong hands on experience and genuine love for animals, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I currently work part-time while completing my RBT certification, which gives me a flexible schedule and availability to take on pet-sitting opportunities. I’m looking to fill some of my extra hours by providing dependable, attentive care for pets. I’m available for overnight stays and can work with each pet’s individual routine and needs. I’m responsible, reliable, and committed to making sure your pets receive plenty of attention, care, and companionship while you’re away. I follow each pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I provide patient, loving care while keeping their environment clean, safe, and comfortable. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions or routines your pet is used to.
About: Having grown up with both Labs and Shepherds, I am very comfortable being around all sorts of dogs. I started dog sitting while I was in high school and loved the opportunity to get to know other breeds. I am experienced in sitting for dogs of all sizes, dog walking, and giving medication. I don’t currently have a dog of my own, so welcome any chance I get to care for others while their owners are away! I work Monday-Friday at a preschool, but have flexibility during my lunch hour if local to Livermore. During the week I am off by 4:30 or 5:30, depending on the day, and am completely open on weekends. While caring for your pets, I will always treat them as if they were my own. Every family has their own special routine, and I find that very important to follow to ensure each and every dog feels as comfortable as they can while their owners are away.
“We had an emergency while we were gone and our sitter was unable to check in on our dogs. Heather thankfully was available last minute and came to care for our dogs! She’s amazing and we could breathe a sigh of relief !!”

“Gabby was a great sitter. She sent us photos and videos during her visits. She played with my kitties too. They seemed to really like her as well. Would definitely hire her again!”

“I found AnnMarie randomly on Rover and met her in person for a Meet and Greet. My dog is very territorial, and he instantly gravitated to AnnMarie. He even went on his back so she could give him a belly rub! Talking to her in person and talking to her references I gave her a chance and had her come to our house to do drop in visits while we were away. I am so glad I made the decision because AnnMarie went above and beyond to take care of our dog Hanz! We were gone for 6 days and it happened to be the week of the heat wave in Livermore. Our dog cannot be inside the house by himself and AnnMarie monitored the weather and communicated with me when she would bring him in the house to stay in his crate. She walked him at night when the weather was cooler. My family and I had such a great time on our vacation and I immediately felt comfortable and knew our dog was in good hands with AnnMarie. We will definitely use AnnMarie in the future when we need a sitter for our dog!”

I currently work for myself so my schedule is very flexible week to week. Looking to help out another person owner with the added bonus of having a furry friend to have around. Big fenced in yard just under a half acre leaves plenty of room to run around. Access to indoors or outdoors at anytime, whatever makes pet most comfortable
About: I am not yet ready to have another pet of my own, so I get great comfort from sharing my love and affection with those families that need it. I have had dogs, cats, a rabbit and a horse throughout my childhood years. My love bug, a 140lb Rottweiler, was the best partner a young woman could have. It was very hard saying goodbye to him. I understand the amount of time, love and attention our pets require of us and I’m happy to be part of the team that can help reduce the concerns when apart or busy. I’ve dog sat at others homes. I’ve kept dogs with me at mine. I’m flexible and understand that each owner has their own unique preferences for the way they want their family member taken care of. I look forward to getting to know you and your loved one! I’m exploring my freedom from corporate life and currently have a lot of open time in my schedule. I’m looking to stay active and walking is a key part of that. I’d love to have a companion to get out and putting the miles on my step counter. I would prefer caring for your pet in a setting more familiar to them, their own home when possible. I know that each owner has unique standards that they want followed and I welcome having detailed instructions and information to follow. Outside of the guidelines that I might get, I’m happy to play, do some basic training, build the pet’s confidence and nurture with attention and affection.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ulmar. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
