About: I have many years experience as a dog owner from childhood and, more recently, having done over 50 petsits since 2020 caring for a wide variety of dogs, cats, small animals, chickens and the occasional pony/horse. I adore animals and pride myself on ensuring that pets are safe and secure in their own home while their pet parents are absent. I am spotlessly clean and organised and work around the routine of the animals I care for, while ensuring that the home I am staying in is kept immaculately clean and secure. I currently work online as an English language tutor, approximately 3 mornings a week for a total of around 10 hours. This has always worked out well and complimented my pet-caring work as the teaching fits well around caring for animals in their homes. However, I emphasise that I work around the individual needs and routine of the animals I care for as they are the utmost priority. Before accepting a petsit, I make absolutely sure that the 'fit' is right for both me, the home owner and, most importantly, for the animal. If I feel that I can't provide exactly the care that an animal requires, then I will not accept the work. I do this first and foremost because I love animals. I like to make sure that the home/animal owner fills me in completely on what is required to both care for their pets and their home and that everything is in place to ensure confidence from everyone concerned. Once I am certain that I can confidently provide what is required I am prepared to accept a new client.

“Can't recommend Courtney enough, our Buddy is an anxious border collie and he took to her straight away and was even excited the first time Courtney came to take him on his walk. The communication is brilliant from Courtney and I know Buddy is looking forward to many more walks with her! 🐾”

“Thank you so much Rebecca! Saved the day for us on realising a day out we had planned wasn’t going to be dog friendly. With very late notice Rebecca came down to walk Walter and give him some lunch so we didn’t need to rush back. Hopefully Walter was on his best behaviour because we would love to get in touch again in future, great having someone locally we can rely on. Thank you!”

About: I love all animals. I’ve known dogs and cats since I was very young. Started professionally 7 yrs ago with voluntary dog training classes then started my business called Livingston Village Pet Buddy. I walk dogs and do pet sitting and have availability at the moment. Walking times range from 20 mins to 1 hr. Puppy sessions from 20 to 45 mins. If home visits are required, I will make sure everyone is safe, clean, fed, and have fun and cuddles (if possible) and is treated with fairness.

About: I’ve grown up taking care of cats and dogs my whole life, often multiple pets at the same time (including feeding, bathing, walking, and more importantly playing with them). I love giving cats and dogs the love and care they deserve and find happiness in looking after them. I currently work full-time as a cyber security consultant which is a fully remote job so I have all the time working from the comforts of my home. I have most evenings and weekends free. I have my own house with its own private fenced backyard. I live in a great estate and live mere seconds from a large park which is great for dog walking and playing!

About: My partner Joe and I bring years of hands-on experience caring for pets. I’ve been caring for my two beloved senior dogs, Ruby and Bella, for over three years. They needed a lot of extra love and attention, including oral medication, hand-feeding, and gentle care tailored to their needs. Ruby has now moved to Lanzarote with family, and sadly, Bella is no longer with us. Our home feels a little too quiet without them, and we’d love the chance to care for some new furry friends and share that love again. Joe has raised and trained dogs since childhood, building strong, trusting relationships especially with Bella. His calm, steady presence and natural connection with animals make him especially good with dogs of all temperaments. Together, we offer gentle, experienced care filled with patience, love and reliability. Pet care is a natural part of our daily routine we prioritise walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship, making sure pets feel safe, loved, and well looked after. We create a calm, pet-friendly space with plenty of love, play, and routine. Pets get individual attention, regular exercise, safe surroundings, and all the comforts of home.

About: I have had full time care of my own two dogs, for two and a half years. Both my dogs have disabilities and require medication. I work casually and accept shifts I choose. Should I be booked I would be at home all day and not accept any shifts. I would make the dog the priority. I have a fenced back garden where your fur baby can play with mine (or alone if specified) I would stick to the pet’s normal routine as far as humanly possible. I live a two minute car ride from the vet. I walk dogs in woods and parks.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was little. With this being my own dog to a family dog, to a friends dog to a neighbours dogs. I have always been around dogs until my last dog (a working cocker spaniel) sadly passed and left me with this big whole to fill. Due to past working commitments I haven't filled this whole but would love to now fill it with giving the best walks, care and love to your four legged friends. I will treat your dog like it's my own and send you doggy updates on our adventures together. :) I am currently on maternity leave and looking to start up my own dog walking business to suit my new family lifestyle. I now have time to care and look after your dog(s) throughout the week from a drop in visit to an exploring the world outside to suit around my new first time mummy life. I will listen to yours and your dogs needs and rules and build up a trusting relationship, this can be from your own home to walks around the neighbourhood. I am happy to meet you and your dog before to see how we get on.

About: I’ve take care of family & friends dogs for the past 5 years, right through from puppy stages to adult dog. I got my own puppy in 2023 so am well versed in looking after puppies and adult dogs alike. I currently work 4 days a week so am available on Fridays and the weekends to walk your pups! This can be either on lead or off lead in a safe environment, whatever suits the needs of the dog and owner. I will always treat your dog as if they were my own, I understand the importance of them as family members & would put their safety above all else. I love local to numerous woodland areas & would walk on or off the lead depending on the owners preference.

“Yesterday, I reached out to Laura on short notice, and she kindly walked my dog, Bonnie-Mia, just four hours later. Laura is a delightful and amiable individual. During our initial meeting, Bonnie enthusiastically greeted Laura, which is unusual as Bonnie is typically wary of new people. However, Bonnie quickly warmed up to Laura, so I will definitely be entrusting her with Bonnie's care again in the future ❤️”

About: I grew up with animals and have been looking after them since I was a child. I'm a social person and I love outdoor activities and long walks, as dogs also do!😊 I have a female cat, called Fela 7mo old, she's still getting used to dogs. I would like to meet your pet and help you with taking care of him/her. I work 3/4 days a week, so I'm available on Wed, Thursday, Friday and some Saturdays. I can pick up your pet and drop him/her off if needed. I live in a house with front and back garden, both fenced and secure. Near the place I stay there is Dechmond park, plenty of space to walk and play.

About: I am a final year veterinary science student at Glasgow with a love for all animals. I've been caring for dogs since I was young, starting with our beloved family dog. I personally toilet-trained and skill trained our cocker spaniel from 8 weeks old and continue to work with him as he grows into adulthood. I love teaching dogs new tricks, playing interactive games, watching them enjoy the freedom of sniffing on walks, and relaxing with them on the sofa for some cosy downtime. I'm currently a university student and work part-time on the weekends, which gives me a flexible schedule. I'm mostly available to care for pets during the week to make sure they get all the care and attention they need. I live in a pet-friendly building with a fenced garden and plenty of open green spaces nearby, including a public park just 10 minutes away. Whether your dog loves long walks or relaxing on the sofa, I'm happy to accommodate their needs and provide them with a comfortable, fun environment.

Julie M.
“We were so fortunate to find Julie through TrustedHousesitters! From the moment we met her, we could tell she was a natural with our two miniature schnauzerkids, Merlin and LilyBelle. She sent us regular updates and photos, and it was clear our dogs adored her. Julie is incredibly trustworthy – her 50+ five-star reviews speak for themselves! She took such good care of our 'schnildren', walking them daily and catering to their individual needs. It felt like we were leaving them with a friend. We live in a rural area, about 15 minutes from the nearest town, and Julie didn't mind the seclusion at all. In fact, she made herself right at home! We felt so comfortable with her that we were able to travel all the way to South Africa, knowing our dogs were in excellent hands. We returned home to happy dogs and a spotless house. Julie isn't just a petsitter; she's become a true friend, and we hope to stay in touch for years to come. We highly recommend her – she's an absolute gem! Catherine B.”

Haleh N.
“Haleh is probably the best dog walker in Scotland 😬. I first met her at the West Calder Dogs Trust Puppy Training Classes in 2016. She was helping with the classes and helped to ensure our wee mini-schnauzer got very well-socialised with other dogs and learned the basic commands. I 100% believe that along with our good care for our dog, this helped create a well-adjusted, contented family pet, who is a great wee member of our family. Haleh walks our dog in all weathers and is caring, firm and very well organised. She has been walking our Missy for the past 7 years and is essentially her “second mum” in a sense. She takes all her dogs for good, long walks and always returns them as clean as she possibly can (she has a good system of what I imagine is water and buckets and doggy shampoo in her car🙂). Missy is very happy to go with her every day and basically just runs out of the house and into the back seat of Haleh’s car with no invitation 🙂. Haleh is also flexible on days when she can be, competitive on price and most importantly, you can tell she loves what she is doing and has great respect and love for all her dogs and the natural world. Lastly, a couple of bonus features about Haleh is she loves her 80’s bands and knows a lot about gardening, flowers and trees.... which has helped us a lot over the years.”

Louise L.

“We now use Louise whenever we need a dog walker or a drop in visit. She’s reliable and respects our home. Our dog is always very happy when we get back.”

Gabrielle C.

“Gabrielle was great with Bagel (who can be quite fussy) and brought her home safe and tired.”

Matthew C.
“I highly recommend Matthew as a pet sitter. He has an amazing relationship with his own cat and is very attentive to his needs. He has walked and looked after my dogs on several occasions and has a calm manner that they respond well to. He is very good at following instructions and takes his responsibilities seriously. He is good at keeping me updated with photos/messages and is a reliable communicator. I have no doubts that he’ll do a great job with all of your pets.”

Viktorija R.

“Fantastic service, so helpful and considerate she was great with our two dogs, would highly recommend”

Claire B.Star Sitter

“Claire managed to fit us in at short notice and took Harley for a walk when we were out for the day. She looked after him and we will definitely use her again.”
