“Suzanne was excellent. She came to visit us before we went away to get to know our cat which was very reassuring. She clearly has a great way with animals. She is very reliable and came the same time each day sending an update of the visit and photos of our cat which was really nice to receive. I would have no hesitation in recommending Suzanne, we will certainly be asking her to look after our cat when we go away next.”

“Clare dropped in to look after our cat Cloud and did a wonderful job. She was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend and approach again for cat sitting services in the future!”

“Maxie was amazing, she came to do a meet and greet with our cats before hand and was very kind and prepared. I only paid for a 30 minute visit and maxie stayed with our cats over a hour, really going the extra mile! She also sent us lots of photos and videos of our cats which put my head at ease while on holiday, I couldn't recommend her enough, and since our cats love her will be using her services again!”

“Millie did a fabulous job feeding my cats while I was away. I knew when she arrived and left and got photos too. She even emptied the bin and brought my recycling bin in for me which I really didn’t expect. She popped round in the week before feeding them just to meet the cats and see where their food is. Millie is absolutely lovely and clearly an animal lover. I’d definitely use her again.”

About: I’ve been around dogs all my life, I’ve always had a passion working with all kinds of animals including cats, dogs and even horses! I have 4 years of animal care qualifications along with 5 years of practical experience, including working in different kennels and having my own dog grooming business back in Scotland, I work well with nervous dogs and take the time to gain their trust and make them as happy and comfortable with me as I can. I’d love to meet your pets and help however I can in my spare time. I also love photography and would love to capture your pets happiest moments! I’m currently working full time Monday-Friday with Thursdays off, I can do evenings after work or Thursday, Saturday and Sunday works best for me to dedicate the most time to your little ones. I like to spend some quality time with your pets and not just a quick drop in, I’ll stay with them and try keep everything as normal as possible for them and build a bond to reduce any stress during visits

About: Hey! I’d like to offer your dog their very own staycation from home. I have experience working in kennels which helped me realise that kennels aren’t always the right option for some dogs hence why I thought I’d start doing something like this. I’ve taken care of family and friends’ dogs in the past. I like all dogs from big to small. I currently have a cockapoo of my own that is very friendly and loves meeting new people and animals. I have trained him since he was a pup (he still is a pup technically at 8 months old) and I thoroughly enjoy spending time with animals. If wanted I’ll be happy to help teach your dog a few tricks or commands during the days I’m with them. Apart from that a fun fact about me is in the future I’d like to adopt a Doberman, Rottweiler, German Shepherd and a Beagle. Any details regarding medication, training habits and food timings would need to be disclosed beforehand please. I primarily work night shifts or 3-4 hour day shifts throughout the week. However, I would only be boarding or sitting your animals on days when I am off work. In the rare instance I do have to work whilst taking care of your pet you would be informed prior to booking and there would be at least one other member of the household present at home so your pet would never fully be home alone. My dog wakes up at 6am everyday and goes into his crate at 9-10pm so a similar routine would be implemented with your dog unless otherwise told to do so. I have a big garden that is fully fenced and on the outskirts of a small woods. Your pet would have plenty of room to play and run when not on walks. We do not have any plants that are poisonous to dogs just in case they decide to eat something they find (my mum gardens and is very strict concerning this as my dog is a bit of a scavenger). I would prefer for your dog to be crate trained however I know that a lot of dogs don’t like crates so would be able to accommodate if needed.

About: With a deep passion for animals and extensive experience in animal welfare, offers dog walking and sitting services tailored to meet the unique needs of your pet. Having worked at an NGO animal rescue center in thailand at a local kennels and cattery and taking care of the animals at Pink Pig Farm, I bring a wealth of knowledge in animal care, behavior, and safety. I've personally rehomed 9 rescue dogs and cats (and four chickens!). Whether it’s a walk, a play session, or in-home sitting, your pet’s comfort, happiness, and well-being are my top priorities. I currently have unexpected availability over the next few months and so I can be very flexible. I have no holidays or time off booked over the next few months. With plenty of experience professionally house and pet sitting I can assure you I will treat your homes and your animals routines with respect and kindness. I aim to ensure I clean up after myself so you can fully relax upon your return home. I am respectful and quiet and sim to create a calming environment for your pets to relax in.

About: I have looked after dogs from puppy's to 14 years old, from Spaniels to terriers. From house sitting on my own to training. From long walks around the river to short walks. Even though I have a job it's really the animals I want to be around at all times. My job is not full time so therefore I have time to spend with animals of all sizes. I care for animals by providing food and water, enrichment, playtime, toilet time, walks, chill time. To health checking visually from a distant. Animals know who are animal people the moment they see you.

“Rhi was brilliant. Excellent communication and took great care of my two cats. She sent lovely photos which was really reassuring. I was worried that my scaredy cat in particular would hide away but Rhi sent lovely photos of him hanging out with her. Will definitely ask Rhi to cat sit again ?”

About: I had a dog and cats as a child and looked after lots of friends and families pets ever since. From taking them to walks to having them stay over for a week or 2. When looking after dogs previously, it makes me so happy to see them get excited to see me again! I have 2 sons, 15 and 7, who also live with me. They have been taught how to be safe around animals ever since they were little and are very caring and attentive around them. They both love cats and dogs and are keen to get one full time. They have also enjoyed dog walks with me aswell as spending with family and friends pets. I think this would be a good way to give them some extra experience in caring for animals. I currently work part-time so have plenty of time to play and care for your lovely pets! I work 9-5 on a Wednesday, 8-4 on a Thursday and 9-3 on Fridays. All other days I'm generally free apart from popping out to do the usual chores or to go to the gym. I would be happy to look after your pet whilst I'm at work if they are OK and happy to be left for that amount of time. I will make enrichment toys to keep them occupied whilst im out of the house. Apart from a Wednesday, Thursday and friday I am available to also do drop ins and dog walks. I have a high fenced garden for your pups to enjoy. I also have a large field at the top of my street that is great for a dog walk. I do drive so if your dog is happy travelling, I would take them out on longer walks if needed. Your pets will be free to roam all areas of the house and I am happy for them to sit on the sofa with us for cuddles or sleep in my bed if that's what they are used to. It will be my main priority to make them feel safe and happy whilst they are with me. Please feel free to discuss any care your dog may need and I will do all I can to accommodate. If you require me to look after your pet in your home, I am only available on a friday evening as I have my children with me all other nights of the week.

“Nicola was wonderful with our cat Miyah and you could tell Miyah had a lovely time getting lots of fuss during the drop ins! Nicole sent lots of pictures after each drop in, was great with communication and followed all the instructions we left perfectly. I'd absolutely recommend Nicole to anyone looking for someone to take care of their pet!”

About: Hello, my name’s Bik! 👋 I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I always had cats growing up and I would regularly look after dogs for my neighbours and family friends. I took time off work at the start of 2023 and started pet sitting on Rover. In that time, I’ve gained a good deal of experience looking after lots of cats and dogs of varying ages, sizes, and temperaments. From Chihuahuas and Terriers to Labradors and German Shepherds, and many more in between! This has included older pets, puppies and kittens, rescues, and those with anxiety. I completely understand that leaving your beloved pet with a stranger is a daunting prospect, but I promise that I will do my very best to take great care of your pet, and your home. I will follow your routines as closely as possible so your pet can have that familiarity whilst having the comfort of being in their own home. I will send you lots of photos and updates to reassure you that your pet is safe and happy with me whilst you're away. I work as a Website Officer, and I am lucky that this role is mainly working remotely so I am flexible in being able to spend my time looking after your pet in your home whilst I work. I am very accommodating with the days I can look after your pet. I am happy to stay in your home with your pet, whether you’re away for a night, a week, or a fortnight. Keeping your pet safe is my priority; this includes whilst they are in their home, and out for walks. I would never let your dog off the lead (unless previously discussed with you). Walk times can be changed according to the needs of your dog, and the weather. For example, there have been summer days where the temperature has exceeded 25 degrees. In these times it’s not safe to walk dogs during the day. I would either wake up earlier and take your dog out at 7am or wait until 9pm when the weather is cooler and it’s a more comfortable, and safe, walk for your dog. At the opposite end of the weather spectrum, when it reaches 0 degrees or below, I would consider whether or not it would be too cold to walk your dog. This decision would generally be based around the size of your dog, their age and those breeds with thin coats. If I did go ahead with the walk then I would take necessary precautions, keep the walk short and during daylight hours. I am happy to administer medication for your dog including tablets, liquids, and medications in food. As well as ear drops and cleaning etc. I have my own car and can drive your pet to the vets in an emergency.

“Evie was attentive and very quick to respond to my request, I am incredibly happy in the treatment my cat received and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, friendly and knowledgeable pet owner. I will definitely be using her services again knowing full well I can trust Evie to be competent and able at short notice to be on call when needed. 10/10!”

About: Hi, I’m Ashleigh – a qualified animal enthusiast with over 8 years of experience studying and caring for animals. My passion and empathy for animals have always been a part of who I am, and from a very young age, I knew I wanted to pursue a career working with them. After leaving school, I went to college to study animals, which eventually led me to earn a BSc in Animal Behaviour & Welfare. Along the way, I’ve gained hands-on experience working and volunteering in rescue centres, daycares, zoos, aquariums, and wildlife rehabilitation. This has provided me with the amazing opportunity to work with a wide range of species – from dogs, cats, and rabbits to snakes, penguins, armadillos, octopuses, and rhinos! After a short break from studying, I’ll soon be starting an MRes in Animal Behaviour & Welfare, and my research will be centred around reptile cognition. I am committed to building on my understanding of how and why animals think and behave the way they do. Understanding an animals behaviour isn’t just fascinating – it’s essential to providing the best possible care and building trust-based relationships. Driven by my knowledge and lifelong passion for animals, I began offering my own services some time ago to just a few clients alongside my work and studies. I’ve now decided to take the next step and officially launch Tails & Scales Pet Care – providing trustworthy, personalised care for pets of all shapes and sizes. Services I provide: 🐕🦺 Solo dog walk – dedicated one-on-one time tailored to your dog’s needs 🐇 Pet sitting – in-home care while you’re away, keeping your pets comfortable in their own space 🐈 Drop-in visits – check-ins for feeding, playtime, company, and a toilet break 🐢 Experienced care for scaly, slimy, feathery, and creepy-crawly pets Whether you need regular walks, a one-off pet sit, or the occasional drop-in visit, I’m here to make life easier for you and more comfortable for your animals. Every pet I care for is treated like one of my own – no matter their shape, size, or quirks. I am a full-time pet sitter/dog walker. I will try my best to be available for any requests and to meet your needs - just ask! I only offer 1-2-1 care, or care for pets from the same household for safety reasons, and to ensure every animal in my care is getting the necessary attention and devotion! Happy to follow safe and sensible owner instruction regarding care and routine for your animal/s in your own home. Rates on this platform differ slightly from my direct bookings due to Rover platform requirements.

About: I have an extended diploma in animal management so have a very good understanding of animal behaviour and animals needs. I also have offered pet sitting and walking services locally on and off for years and I am looking for new clients. I currently run my own business from home so have plenty of free time to keep your pets company or go out and about on walks. I have a fenced and secure yard as well as having two very friendly calm dogs to keep your dog company. I have a large crate that can be used if preferred. If your dog is used to being on the bed they are more than welcome here too, I want to make it as comfortable and homely as possible.

“Rachel looked after my Lab after she had an operation whilst we were at work, she also helped with our latest puppy. Rachel was an absolute lifesaver and we couldn’t have asked for a better more caring dog sitter.”

Gayathri S.
“Gayathri has trained her personal dog from being a puppy, he can do lots of tricks and has good recall. She is very good at caring for animals and dealing with large dogs, such as my Bernese Mountain Dog and cats, I have a mixed breed cat who doesn’t like people however LOVES Gayathri. Gayathri is a well rounded individual who you should choose to look after your animal, because she is dedicated to the upmost care of them.”

Emily H.
“Couldn’t recommend Emily enough. Never felt so at ease leaving our dog in her care and she couldn’t do more for her either. Our dog isn’t easy to look after and has special care needs and none of this was ever an issue. In fact I think the hardest thing of the whole process was picking our dog back up - she has that much of a good time she never wants to actually come home! Nothing is too much bother and we really couldn’t ask for anything more.”

Hannah D.
“Hannah is an amazing caring lady. She always puts the animals first. She is wanting to push further her love for animal and to be able to be with them all day ever day”

Samantha G.
“Sam and her boys have cared for my Rocky on many occasions, and he loves them as much as they love him. Even if it’s been months since he’s seen them, he’s so happy and excited to see them. He’s stayed over at their house quite a few times, and is always happy and relaxed when I’ve picked him up. I know he’s well looked after and showered with love. I completely trust Caiden to take Rocky for walks and Louie is always great with him, even tries to (unsuccessfully) race him. I would definitely recommend them all to look after your pet, they will be treated as family, and definitely have a wonderful time.”
