“Dawn was brilliant to communicate with and really helped me feel at ease whilst I was away with work. I loved receiving the cards, with updates and photos. I would highly recommend and will certainly book with her again.”

“We really needed someone to look after our dogs (two retired greyhounds) at very short notice as something unexpected had come up - thankfully Claire was able to assist us, she popped around for a meet and greet later that day and we were immediately confident that our beloved greyhounds would be in safe hands the next day! A true animal lover - we will be sure to use her services again. We highly recommend Claire.”

“Mark has built such a wonderful bond with our 3 month old puppy. She is always so excited to see him when he arrives and she is well looked after. Marks communication is excellent and provides us with lovely pictures and videos of Nala and he is happy to continue with the commands/training that we do with her on his visits. Highly recommend!”

“Hannah looked after our cat for a weekend at quite late notice. She was really nice and sent us loads of updates and photos so we could see how our girl was doing while we were gone. Would certainly use Hannah again.”

About: Hi! I’m Danielle — a lifelong animal lover with two spoiled cats of my own, Barney and Maatjie. I’ve always been surrounded by animals and would absolutely love a dog, but I’m currently renovating my home, so dog ownership is on hold for now. In the meantime, I’d love to help care for your furry family members! I offer: • 🐶 Dog walks • 🏡 Drop-in visits for dogs and cats • 🌙 Overnight stays in your home • 🐱 Cat boarding in my safe, pet-friendly home I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets — someone who will care for them like you would. I take that responsibility seriously and always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and well-looked after while you’re away. I work from home on my own creative business, which gives me a very flexible schedule and lots of time for pet care throughout the day. Whether it’s drop-in visits, boarding, or overnight stays, I can easily fit my routine around the needs of the pets I’m caring for. I’m used to planning my days around feeding times, play sessions, and cuddles with my own two cats — so giving other pets the same attention and consistency comes naturally to me. It’s a lovely balance, and honestly, spending time with animals is often the highlight of my day! When caring for your cats in my own home, I make sure they have a quiet, safe, and stress-free environment. I provide clean litter trays, fresh water, regular feeding, and plenty of enrichment — whether that’s playtime, brushing, or just a cozy lap and some cuddles, depending on what the cat prefers. I’m mindful to give new arrivals time and space to settle in at their own pace and always follow their routine as closely as possible. For drop-in visits or overnight stays at a pet owner’s home, I stick to the care instructions provided and aim to maintain the pet’s normal routine. I’ll feed, clean litter trays, give meds if needed, and spend quality time with your pet so they feel secure while you’re away. I’m respectful of your space, tidy up after myself, and always keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands.

About: Hello! I'm Amy. I live and work in Margate very close to Old Town and Main Sands. I love all animals but especially dogs and have a real soft spot for a senior pup. I have my own dog Ruby who lives with me half of the time (co-parenting every 6 weeks), when she is with me I am happy to do a meet and greet to make sure your dog gets on with her. She's a Frenchie and I know some dogs aren't so keen on the little bat pigs. If you have a nervous dog or one with mobility / health issues and you want to meet me first to make sure they are comfortable with me, I can definitely do this as well. My dog has mobility issues so I am comfortable with dogs that need a little extra tlc. I am a freelance creative and I work from home the majority of the time, which means I'm often available to after your dog at short notice. I live in a large 2 bedroom flat on the first floor, the building doesn't have a lift so your dog would need to be able to walk up and down stairs or be under 12kg so I'm able to carry them up and down (if disabled for example). Out the front is a large green (Hawley Square) for dogs that can't do long walks but like a little run around, 10 mins walk from Dane Park and 5 mins walk from the main sands. If needed I have a car which is fitted with a dog car seat suitable for medium size digs and also have a seatbelt attachment for larger dogs.

“Sam came to meet my two dogs before she looked after them which was great and made me feel comfortable leaving them with her. Jasper and Darcy had a lovely time with Sam and will all look forward to seeing her again 😄”

About: Growing up on a farm in a small town in Slovenia i quickly learned how to interact with cats, dogs, cows, horses…i will forever favor horses but until i can have my own, dogs and cats will be my best friends. Cats are amazing when they decide to trust you enough to let you pet them but dogs need more focus as they can get too playful if you dont create boundaries, i found when interacting with either. So if its playing with a laser pointer to give the cat some exercise or playing with a dog and their toys, im here for it! I live for the routine, animals come before me, so when i am pet sitting for inlaws we feed the cats first and the dog, then we go explore the garden, fetch with the dog while two of the cats wrestle 😂. Dog walks are also part of our day: one or two, depending on how busy we are. Its important to show each animal you care about them and take notice when they want your attention. Id like to hear your rutine with you animal and provide a service as similar to it as possible, to give the animal a peace of mind and quality play or pets time. I dont mind doing some of my own exercises with dogs, just to keep their mind working or grooming or cleaning after them if need be!

About: I am a former pet owner, having had two dogs during my life and two cats all of whom were treated like my children. I understand how precious our fur babies are to us and that they are more than a pet. I will treat your fur babies the way I would have wanted mine to be cared for on the rare occasions we went away. Not only will they have the basics of nutrition and exercise but they will be comfortable and cared for in the best possible way, ensuring they feel truly safe with their temporary alternative care giver. I no longer have any pets of my own so your dogs do not feel the need to compete for territory when they stay. This also allows more freedom to do home sits and to provide routine for your fur babies. I am work part time and studying part time. Both of these positions are from home and therefore I am in the unique position of not needing to travel to a place of employment giving me total flexibility to care for your most treasured babies. Within my own home boundaries are a little relaxed. Animals are allowed on the sofa although there is a large pet bet available also. If you have a clear rule of not allowing pets on the furniture then this would be adhered to. I do not allow animals upstairs or on beds as I believe there has to be a clear boundary here to promote human to animal hierarchy. (Having formally owned a 54KG bullmastiff, I needed him to know that I was in charge in this house, otherwise you have a huge disobedient dog) Dogs would be walked a minimum of twice a day and they have access to a rear garden which is totally enclosed. I am able to provide health care as cared for my own dog for almost 10 years who needed to have medication and a prescription diet. Within your own home, the boundaries of how your animals are cared for would be followed. On these occasions if you allow your dogs on the bed, then this would be followed to promote routine. Again any dog would be walked a minimum of twice a day although for both services extra walks can be discussed. In both scenario's your pets would only be left for a maximum of a few hours if I was needing to go grocery shopping or such like. I have also cared for dogs overnight who have separation anxiety and cannot be left and am more than willing to accommodate such requests.

“We booked Sophie for regular drop-ins over the span of two and a half weeks and honestly she has been an incredibly reliable, caring and communicative cat sitter. We could sleep easily knowing that someone responsible and genuinely good with pets is looking after our cat while we're out of the country. Dexter is usually very shy around strangers but instantly took a liking to her, which says a lot. We were concerned about letting someone we don't know have the keys to our flat for that long, but she has been nothing but respectful of our home. To sum it all up, we would definitely book her again!”

About: I’ve had my own cats for the past two years, and I’ve grown up in a family that’s always had both dogs and cats—so caring for animals has been second nature to me for as long as I can remember. Friends and family know they can count on me when they need someone trustworthy and attentive to care for their pets, whether it’s for a weekend or a longer trip. I treat every pet like my own, with lots of love, patience, and a genuine understanding of their needs. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I can work from just about anywhere—and I’m not tied to my desk all day. This gives me plenty of free time during the week to walk and care for your dog or drop in to give your cat the attention and love they deserve. My wife and I made the personal choice not to have children, and our pets truly are our family. They’re not just animals—they’re our companions, our joy, and a big part of our everyday lives. I care for them with the same love, attention, and responsibility that any parent would. When your pets are in my care, they’ll be treated with the same warmth, patience, and affection I give to my own.

“Amy is really nice and responsible person! She looked after my cat during my two weeks vocation, I feel like my boy even gain weight when I am back home. She did all the requirements and came on time to check on the cat, piling up the food and clean the tray. She even stepped extra to collect my parcels and left it in the safe place for me. Everything is good, I am so happy I found her. I will defo come back if i need cat sitter in the future:) highly recommend!”
