“Dawn was lovely - really cared about doing a good job, and took extra time to make sure my dog Ash was having fun and left everything in great order when she was done 👍”

“We really needed someone to look after our dogs (two retired greyhounds) at very short notice as something unexpected had come up - thankfully Claire was able to assist us, she popped around for a meet and greet later that day and we were immediately confident that our beloved greyhounds would be in safe hands the next day! A true animal lover - we will be sure to use her services again. We highly recommend Claire.”

“Mark has built such a wonderful bond with our 3 month old puppy. She is always so excited to see him when he arrives and she is well looked after. Marks communication is excellent and provides us with lovely pictures and videos of Nala and he is happy to continue with the commands/training that we do with her on his visits. Highly recommend!”

“Thank you Jade for coming and looking after Phillip & Zeus. They seemed to be very comfortable with you and we appreciated the time you spent with them.”

About: Hello! I'm Amy. I live and work in Margate very close to Old Town and Main Sands. I love all animals but especially dogs and have a real soft spot for a senior pup. I have my own dog Ruby who lives with me half of the time (co-parenting every 6 weeks), when she is with me I am happy to do a meet and greet to make sure your dog gets on with her. She's a Frenchie and I know some dogs aren't so keen on the little bat pigs. If you have a nervous dog or one with mobility / health issues and you want to meet me first to make sure they are comfortable with me, I can definitely do this as well. My dog has mobility issues so I am comfortable with dogs that need a little extra tlc. I am a freelance creative and I work from home the majority of the time, which means I'm often available to after your dog at short notice. I live in a large 2 bedroom flat on the first floor, the building doesn't have a lift so your dog would need to be able to walk up and down stairs or be under 12kg so I'm able to carry them up and down (if disabled for example). Out the front is a large green (Hawley Square) for dogs that can't do long walks but like a little run around, 10 mins walk from Dane Park and 5 mins walk from the main sands. If needed I have a car which is fitted with a dog car seat suitable for medium size digs and also have a seatbelt attachment for larger dogs.

About: I have grown up surrounded by Dogs my whole life. From thirteen St. Bernard puppies, to Yorkshire Terriers & Toy Poodles. The variation in experience has given me the skills to deal with different breeds and different ages. Its a great responsibility to have pets and I believe in giving our pets the affection they give us without conditions. Having the energy to deal with the young boisterous ones through to the patience needed for the old fella - I can handle the spectrum. I'm currently working on a project at home, which gives me the flexibility to have doggy walks when they are needed. Be it in the cool of the day when it's really hot, or the warmth of the day when it's really cold! We don't have pets at home any more. The heartbreak when they got old and moved on was to difficult. But it gives me the opportunity now to go out and walk other doggies!

About: I've trained my Dobey, my Rotti, my Yorkshire terriers, and Vlaamse Rose rabbits. I have a fountain of knowledge and buckets of love to give. I dont have a pet anymore. I'm totally independent. I think that makes me pawfect for the role of reliable dog/cat/house sitter. Love to walk! Your pet would be part of my family. I'd make sure they were comfortable and felt loved from the moment they arrive. A calm space.

“We chose Tess due to her experience of looking after small dogs and being local to my address. We met initially as an introduction and I was very impressed with her wealth of knowledge and love for dogs and most importantly how much little Ru loved her. Tess provided me with prompt updates during her drop ins and wonderful photos. I will definitely book Tess again and recommend to all owners who are thinking about it!”

“Anne-Marie was very caring and kind looking after my five cats and understood immediately that I was concerned in leaving them with someone outside of my family for the first time. However she looked after them by feeding and playing with them during each visit and sent me photos, videos and feedback from each visit to put my mind at rest. Great service!”

About: I have had pets my whole life including a dog, cats and hamsters. I am a keen walker/hiker and would love some furry companions to keep me company. I was previously a house sitter on UK House Sitters and Trusted House Sitters since 2022 with consistent 5 star reviews. This involved looking after dogs and cats (including kittens and puppies) for short and long stays. I am a remote psychotherapist so I am flexible and present whilst house sitting. I have various times during the week where I can go for dog walks and do pet visits. I am responsible, trustworthy and very respectful with your pets and homes. I am also on the enchanced DBS register. I am available to housesit in all areas of Thanet but regular drop ins/walks will mostly be kept to the Ramsgate/Broadstairs area due to not having a car at current. If you have any questions please do message me! I may be able to be flexible with extra pet charges depending on the situation. I work remotely, usually doing around 5 hours of video calls at various points in the day so I’m pretty flexible. This also means that whilst house sitting I will be giving your pet a lot of attention and company and will be present in your home the majority of the time. Unfortunately I currently do not offer boarding or doggy day care in my home due to there being cats that aren't too keen on dogs!

“We booked Sophie for regular drop-ins over the span of two and a half weeks and honestly she has been an incredibly reliable, caring and communicative cat sitter. We could sleep easily knowing that someone responsible and genuinely good with pets is looking after our cat while we're out of the country. Dexter is usually very shy around strangers but instantly took a liking to her, which says a lot. We were concerned about letting someone we don't know have the keys to our flat for that long, but she has been nothing but respectful of our home. To sum it all up, we would definitely book her again!”

About: Having worked for dog boarders and day cares for the past year, I have plenty of experience working with animals and understanding their needs and what you also want from them in terms of care, and just aim to give them everything they need to stay comfortable and safe! I do this full time so I can offer around the clock care any day off the week, making sure your dogs get all the care they need! I will be primarily sitting in the owners home, so I take every detail very seriously in what you need to get your dog looked after and I make sure I follow that to keep them as safe and comfortable as possible

About: I have taken care of dogs before would take care of family members dogs for up to 7day me at a time this included all types of dogs from small dogs to big dogs I currently work on a flexible contract meaning I will be able to fit both jobs around each other, I aim to keep to a healthy schedule between both I will make sure to get understanding of your dogs situation and needs before even starting I will take time to learn there likes and dislikes so I properly care for and understand them

About: Amble is founded by Jade and George, two experienced dog care professionals with a shared love of dogs. They are DBS checked, canine first aid trained, fully insured, and continually improve their expertise through specialised dog care courses. With their knowledge and experience, Jade and George are always confident in advocating for your dog and ensuring they are fulfilled and happy. They have a wealth of experience in all aspects of dog care, including senior care, injury and operation recovery, puppy socialisation, managing reactivity and training. They specialise in small dog walks with the following philosophy: "Our approach: Our emphasis is on small group walks where we can understand each dog's unique needs and work consistently on their training and engagement with us. Whether it's helping a dog overcome a behavioural challenge or ensuring a safe and enriching walking experience, our commitment is to always lead our dogs calmly, kindly and confidently. We always ensure that our small dog walking groups are respectful to others and we are confident in advocating for our dogs if they need space from dogs or people that they don’t know. We know it can be a big decision trusting new people with your dog, so we always offer a free meet and greet before any regular bookings or overnight stays, giving you a chance to get to know us and see how important providing expert, consistent and reliable care is to us" *Please note we may not be able to take unneutered male adult dogs for group walks and will need to discuss this on a case by case basis, we will take puppies and young adults. Unfortunately, we can not take female dogs in heat* At Amble, your dog is a priority that seamlessly fits into our daily routine. As full-time dog carers, any dog that comes into our care will receive our undivided attention. Depending on their exercise requirements, they will enjoy up to two walks per day in beautiful natural areas in the week, and on weekends, we can take them on exciting adventures to explore locations further afield. Our schedule is designed to ensure your dog receives personalised attention and the perfect balance of exercise, play and rest. Safety, trust, and a welcoming environment are at the heart of how we care for your dog. Whether in our home or yours, we ensure a comfortable and secure space for your dog. Our home is fully pet-friendly, with your dog welcome to roam and relax anywhere they choose. Although we are more than happy to have dogs on furniture, we uphold any training or routines you have in place, including sleeping arrangements or furniture rules. Our small garden provides additional space for fun, and we’re always ready to adapt our environment to suit your dog’s needs.

About: Since I was a child, I’ve always played a role in taking care of the family pets. I also regularly care for pets of friends and family whilst they have been away. I’m currently attending university locally, of which a lot of my time is spent studying and working from home. This means I am readily available to care for pets frequently. I have a fenced garden, and a friendly older dog of my own which should provide a calming presence. I am also based a minutes walk from the beach.

About: I am a former pet owner, having had two dogs during my life and two cats all of whom were treated like my children. I understand how precious our fur babies are to us and that they are more than a pet. I will treat your fur babies the way I would have wanted mine to be cared for on the rare occasions we went away. Not only will they have the basics of nutrition and exercise but they will be comfortable and cared for in the best possible way, ensuring they feel truly safe with their temporary alternative care giver. I no longer have any pets of my own so your dogs do not feel the need to compete for territory when they stay. This also allows more freedom to do home sits and to provide routine for your fur babies. I am work part time and studying part time. Both of these positions are from home and therefore I am in the unique position of not needing to travel to a place of employment giving me total flexibility to care for your most treasured babies. Within my own home boundaries are a little relaxed. Animals are allowed on the sofa although there is a large pet bet available also. If you have a clear rule of not allowing pets on the furniture then this would be adhered to. I do not allow animals upstairs or on beds as I believe there has to be a clear boundary here to promote human to animal hierarchy. (Having formally owned a 54KG bullmastiff, I needed him to know that I was in charge in this house, otherwise you have a huge disobedient dog) Dogs would be walked a minimum of twice a day and they have access to a rear garden which is totally enclosed. I am able to provide health care as cared for my own dog for almost 10 years who needed to have medication and a prescription diet. Within your own home, the boundaries of how your animals are cared for would be followed. On these occasions if you allow your dogs on the bed, then this would be followed to promote routine. Again any dog would be walked a minimum of twice a day although for both services extra walks can be discussed. In both scenario's your pets would only be left for a maximum of a few hours if I was needing to go grocery shopping or such like. I have also cared for dogs overnight who have separation anxiety and cannot be left and am more than willing to accommodate such requests.

“Christine was excellent! She came around prior to dog sitting to meet our dog Bobby and she had a nice calm approach which is great as Bobby can be nervous meeting new people. But all went great and Christine was excellent with communication throughout and gave us regular updates and sent pictures. And most importantly, Bobby was very thankful for her company. Would definitely use Christine again - thanks 👍”

“Amy is really nice and responsible person! She looked after my cat during my two weeks vocation, I feel like my boy even gain weight when I am back home. She did all the requirements and came on time to check on the cat, piling up the food and clean the tray. She even stepped extra to collect my parcels and left it in the safe place for me. Everything is good, I am so happy I found her. I will defo come back if i need cat sitter in the future:) highly recommend!”

Joe is reliable and trustworthy and it was obvious from the start that Joe genuinely loves dogs, and it shows in every aspect of his care.
