About: I owned a springer spaniel for 13+ years, until he very sadly passed away in May:( I had him from an 8 week puppy all the way until he became an old fella:) I am a full-time artist working from home. So pretty flexible with time. I would be keen to go for long walks on the beach. I have a small fenced garden and live very near the beach. Happy for dogs on sofa and bed. I have no other pets at home.
“Faith was amazing with our dog Truffle (maltipoo)! She was very attentive, caring, and kept us updated with pictures and messages. Our dog was happy and well cared for, he had load of fun playing with Faith’s dog Coco.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I currently have a 7-year-old Fox Terrier, so I’m very familiar with the energy, intelligence, and personality that comes with the breed. Over the years, I’ve looked after dogs of different ages and temperaments, from playful puppies to more senior dogs who need a gentler approach. What sets me apart is the personal attention and patience I give to every animal. I understand that every dog is different—some need lots of play and stimulation, while others just want a quiet cuddle and a steady routine. I treat every pet like my own, and I’m always happy to follow any special instructions to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and happy in my care. I work at a studio just 5 minutes from my home, which gives me a lot of flexibility. I can either bring a dog with me to the studio I create a calm and secure environment where pets can relax, play, and feel safe. I don’t have any children or other pets besides my own friendly Fox Terrier, so your pet will get plenty of attention and one-on-one care. I make sure the space is pet-proofed, clean, and suited to their individual needs—whether that means lots of play, quiet time, or regular toilet breaks.
“Claire and her family were absolutely brilliant with Peggy. They were so understanding of her needs and challenges as a rescue dog. Peggy can be nervy around new people but she walked straight into Claire’s every morning without a second glance! Claire shared pictures and updates after each day which showed how relaxed Peggy was. Thanks so much, we will definitely book again!”

“Herbie has a fantastic time with Stephen; they play with toys in the garden and go on countryside walks. Stephen is trustworthy and brilliantly caring towards Herbie so we'll definitely be booking in repeat visits :)”

About: I am 52 years old and have fed, walked, mucked out and administered medication (pills) to: dogs, cats, budgies pigs, pigeons and a rabbit. I have had a loving connection to animals since childhood. I respect their right as individuals being mindful of their needs for companionship and down time. I can provide caring and respectful interaction with your companion animal and carry out instructions for feeding and their other routines as well as make sure that your property is kept secure and tidy. I am physically fit, (running, cycling, swimming and climbing). I love to get out and about especially hiking/walking/running at your dog's pace and I love to play them at their own games, tug of war and fetch! I provide regular photo and video updates and supervise their care routines. I have 11 years of monthly volunteer experience at a vegan ran animal rescue sanctuary, which keeps rescued pigs, sheep, cows, turkeys, geese, ducks, an alpaca and also had a sadly departed rescue deer. I have also volunteered at Kerala animal rescue in India for stray dogs (rescue, neuter, vacinate and release). I can provide references upon request. I'm currently working from home and enjoy taking breaks to exercise and interact with companion animals. We usually play their favourite game or walk/run either locally or on an exciting trip. I usually sit with companion animals in their home, and get a sense whether they want to play or chill out. I also provide their food and medication per regular routine.
About: I’ve cared for animals of all kinds since I was a child. I’ve owned everything from rabbits and guinea pigs to goats and cats and have looked after dogs of all ages and temperaments. I work from home on a flexible schedule so am available for companionship, feeds and walks all day…and even in the night. I also walk on the cliffs, parks or beaches regularly and welcome the company. I have a large fenced garden and home with areas that can be closed off for safety and cleanliness. I believe in positive reinforcement with respect for space and building a bond with individual animals.

About: I have always loved animals particularly dogs and have owned many myself over the years. I look after all my friends and families pets ranging from dogs to cats and I also provide dog training in my local area Currently walking and doing drop ins for family and friends pets so more dog walks will fit right in to my day. I absolutely love to walk and explore new places and having a friend beside you just makes it even better. Extremely responsible and trust worthy. I have a fenced garden and a friendly dog myself for company or can do solo walks and drops in for reactive dogs.
“Amanda was great. Duke and Bobby were very happy. We had picture updates so we know they were ok,both ours dogs were very relaxed and happy around Amanda look forward to using her again.”

“Tessa was wonderful! I had a last minute trip out and had to leave Truffle for the day, and Tessa was so quick to respond, flexible on time, and gave us updates on Truffle. Since we are moving to her area we hope to have more puppy time with Tessa when Truffle needs company. She truly loves dogs and it shows”

“Robert had our dog for a day and what a hot day it was today. I messaged him to ask him not to take my dog out in the heat as i had forgotten to say when we dropped our dog off and he didnt. My dog was in and out of his garden to get fresh air when it suited her. She appeared much more settled to come away when collected this time as she is now getting used to Robert. Shes quite an anxy doggie usually but he has had no probs with her. And she appears happy enough when collected. We will def be back for our dog to stay with Robert as we know she is happy there!”

About: I've trained my Dobey, my Rotti, my Yorkshire terriers, and Vlaamse Rose rabbits. I have a fountain of knowledge and buckets of love to give. I would like to dog sit nearer my children who all live in Berkshire, occasionally. I really love living by the sea but I do miss the Chiltern hills. If anyone from Berkshire would like a reliable, experienced, fun sitter please contact me. I don't have a pet anymore. I'm totally independent. I think that makes me pawfect for the role of reliable dog/cat/house sitter. Love to walk! Your pet would be part of my family. I'd make sure they were comfortable and felt loved from the moment they arrive. A calm space.

About: I’ve constantly had dogs in my life and am looking forward to meeting your furry friends. I offer drop-ins, house visits and dog walking services. I absolutely love them and can guarantee they will receive nothing but the best in terms of love and care. I’m currently working part time from home, mainly as a freelance writer-something that delights my own crazy Jack Russell as he is now never left alone! I have a fully enclosed garden for them to use as well.
“Thank you for taking such fantastic care of Buster. We are really pleased to have met you and look forward to building a longer term puppy daycare routine. A1++++++++”

“100% recommendation. Fern had our 16 month old springer spaniel for day care at her house, Fern has a very kind and caring temperament, she sent pics of Ziggy having a lovely walk and he was very happy when she dropped him back to our home, he immediately went to get a toy and took it back to show her. We need to bottle whatever she has as he behaved better in her car than he does for us! 🤭 Thanks so much Fern, we will be back 😊”

Communication was great and Faith was so calm, patient and understanding. She had everything prepared for the heat to look after my 2 dogs for the day. Great pictures and updates during the day too which was reassuring! Will definitely use her services again. I was nervous as my 2 hadn't done anything like this before and she saved the day while I was having work done in the house for the day as previous sitter had let me down the week before her reassurance was perfect. Thank you!

I knew Laszlo would be in good hands with Annie as a fellow spaniel lover and he clearly had a great time with her. She was very accommodating and kept me updated with pictures and videos of him having fun and playing games. Very happy with everything and reassured to know Annie is nearby in future

My dog settled in so well with Rosi! I received lots of lovely photos of him resting, walking, and playing, which gave me great peace of mind. He was clearly happy and well cared for. I’d definitely recommend Rosi to anyone looking for reliable and loving dog care.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
