“Mads has looked after Luna three times now and they have become the best of friends. We always go away safe in the knowledge that she is being well looked after and always return to a very happy and contented cat.”

“Thank you to Charmian for looking after our two cats for a week. She left the house looking spotless and we came home to two happy cats. I would definitely recommend her!”

“I'm so pleased with the care that Amber took of Mog. I felt so reassured and would definitely book with her again. Mog was well looked after and fussed over with lots of nice photos and updates. The area that Mog uses in the kitchen was also nice and clean and tidy.”
About: I have had dogs and cats in my home since I was a small child alongside guinea -pigs, rabbits and chinchillas. Since living on my own (10yeard) I have had recue cats in my home and often looked after friends and family's animals by house sitting or walking them. For the last 2 years I have fostered dogs from the Charity Dogs Trust and have had basic training in grooming, giving medication and basic behavioural recognisition. I am most experienced with reactive dogs and those with anxiety. I currently work from home and only recently moved to Folkestone so I am looking to have some companionship and floofy cuddles during the day. Plus living opposite the beach there are loads of beach side walks and what better friend then a doggo to take with me. I have a flat with a roof terrace as well as access to the beach and no other pets currently so your fur baby will have a safe, quiet environment. I do have a crate if needed but usually let the floors on the sofa or in a Doggy bed. I drive so can pop into your home to pick up a pet if needed for walks or check ins. My neighbours don't have dogs either so reactive dogs should be happy too.
“Here's a positive review you can use for Jasmin: I recently had the pleasure of having Jasmin care for our two cats for the second time, and I couldn't be more pleased! From the moment she arrived, it was clear that she genuinely cares for animals. She took perfect care of our cats, ensuring they were fed, played with, and given plenty of love and attention. Throughout her stay, we stayed in contact, and she provided regular updates, which gave us peace of mind. Jasmin is not only responsible and trustworthy but also a kind and caring person. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter. Thank you!”

“Demelza was an absolute delight, we met a few days before so she could spend time with poppy, our 16 month old whippet, and I could see from that meeting she had integrity, confidence and a great aptitude. Poppy warmed to her immediately and I could see she was a perfect fit. Demelza looked after poppy at our place and I felt very comfortable to leave her in charge. She sent me photos of her time with poppy, which was very reassuring and I could see Poppy was happy. I would definitely invite Demelza back next time we need some help. 10 out of 10 Thank you Demelza for your help…until next time”

About: I’ve had experience with dogs my whole life, had two growing up, a boy and a girl. I also get to look after my sisters lovely Dachshund regularly:) I can be available most days, working around school drop off times. I am available most weekdays, I will have to schedule around the school run so won’t be able to do first thing in the morning but will be available after school drop off. I will ask you questions about your dog, likes, fears, any particular behaviours they may have, if they’re allergic to anything. Dogs will be kept on leads when out and on walks, unless stated otherwise by owners.

About: Hello, welcome to my page. I am a local Folkestone resident and I am a caring, responsible and reliable pet owner who understands how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet in someone else's care. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, so I'll take the time to understand what they need and make sure they feel safe, comfortable and well looked after. I'm happy to provide plenty of attention, playtime, walks and companionship, while keeping to their usual feeding and care routines. I have had dogs in my family since before I could walk and I now have a Ragdoll kitten. I work from home and have a lot of flexibility. I can be available early morning, lunch, and after typical working hours. Weekends I have even more availability. Whether you have a dog or cat at home, I am comfortable with both. I can let your dog out for toilet breaks, feed them, give medication and play with them if they are comfortable with that. For your cat I can do the same, apart from letting them out if they are a house cat of course.

I'm currently work part time, I enjoy morning walks, and would love a 4 legged friend to join me. I have alot of flexibility, and can be avaliable at short notice. For walks, it is good for your dog to meet me, and see how we get on. I always have doggy bags and treats! Ask as many questions as you need to.

About: Hello! My name is Shannon and I've been dog walking and pet sitting for over 9 years, in Abu Dhabi, Montreal, Toronto and now in Hythe. I also had my own dogs and various pets growing up and volunteered at an animal shelter and vets in my formative years, safe to say I've had lots of experience caring for our furry friends! I’ve had many pet owners rely on me for care services for some years now and looking forward to meeting new ones! I currently live in Hythe in a two bedroom with a garden and lots of lovely trail walks nearby for your dog to enjoy. There is also the seafront a short distance and I love to take the dogs swimming in the warmer months. You can see lots of pictures of Lake Ontario I used to take the dogs to in Canada! I enjoy being active and going on adventurous walks so your dog will get all the exercise they need If they're an active breed. I'm also happy to cosy up on the couch and watch Netflix if they're a lazy pup, but I’ll offer them the best of both! I have the most experience with dogs but I have sat many cats, some hamsters, a bunny and a hedgehog! I take care of every animal as if they were my own and I am extremely proactive in my approach to caring for your pets. I will go above and beyond to assure their specific needs are met with regards to their health, activity levels, personalities and little quirks. I've had Dachsunds with separation anxiety, Great Danes with leash reactivity, senior dogs with health problems and all sorts! As long as you are transparent and communicate your pets needs, I am confident in my ability to meet them, so you can rest assured they are in good hands! Healthy, safe and most of all happy! I love to take photos so you will receive lots of great pictures of your pet, I send snaps and updates multiple times a day and I pride myself on my communication with pet owners. I provide boarding, day care, house sitting, drop in visits/walks and would love to take care of your dog, cat or any pet! About: Most dog walkers and minders will tell you they love dogs. I do too - but I've invested in understanding and caring for them. Certified Professional Dog Walker - this isn't a hobby or a side hustle. I'm a certified professional dog walker. Your dog is in the hands of someone who has been formally assessed and qualified to do exactly this. IMDT Level 3 Qualification - the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) is one of the most respected professional bodies in the UK for dog behaviour and training. Level 3 means I understand stress signals, group dynamics and how to read a dog's emotional. When your dog is in my care, nothing goes unnoticed. Qualified Canine First Aider - this one matters more than people realise. Accidents happen on walks. A dog can cut a paw, choke, or have a reaction to something they've eaten. I have certified canine first aid training and know exactly how to respond in an emergency - calmly, correctly and quickly. Small numbers - I will never take on more dogs than I can give proper attention to. Small Pack, Big Love. A professional background in running things - before Dog Daycare - I spent fifteen years as a project director for some of the world's biggest brands. I know how to run an operation properly: clear communication, reliability, punctuality, and keeping you fully informed. You'll always know what your dog got up to. Sandgate and the Kent coast as a classroom - every walk here is genuinely enriching. Beach, coastal path, open countryside, the sensory environment alone is brilliant for dogs. Transparent care - I'll tell you how your dog did, what I noticed, what they enjoyed. A Bit More About Me I'm an open water swimmer, Iron Man competitor and CrossFit enthusiast - so I understand what it means to be committed to something physical and to show up consistently regardless of weather or mood. Your dog gets walked properly in January as much as July. I'm multilingual (Dutch, French, English, enough Spanish and German to get by) Practical Details 📍 Based in Sandgate, CT20 🗺️ Covering Folkestone, Hythe, Saltwood, Cheriton and surrounding villages ✅ IMDT Level 3 qualified ✅ Certified professional dog walker ✅ Qualified canine first aider 🏛️ Animal activity licence in progress 🐕 Small numbers – Samll Pack, Big Love 📱 Updates and photos throughout every session 🤝 Free meet and greet before any booking Get In Touch If you'd like to know more, have a chat about your dog, or book a free meet and greet, I'd love to hear from you. The best care starts with the right conversation. Walk. Mind. Care. 🐾 Oh yes, I have 2 huskies :-) Dog walking and minding is my full-time profession not a side job or a favour. I'm available Monday to Friday throughout the day, with weekend availability on request. I keep my numbers deliberately small so every dog in my care gets proper time and attention, not a slot in an overcrowded diary. Walks are planned around your dog's individual needs not a fixed conveyor belt. Your dog's safety is built into everything I do. I'm a qualified canine first aider so if anything happens on a walk or during minding, I respond correctly and calmly. I'm also IMDT Level 3 qualified, which means I read dogs properly - stress signals, body language, thresholds - before anything becomes a problem. I have two dogs of my own - 2 amazing huskies - who are calm, well socialised and excellent company. My outdoor space is fully enclosed and secure. Every session comes with updates and photos - you'll always know exactly how your dog is doing.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and various pets throughout my life! I have experience with both large and small breeds of dogs as well as cats. Growing up we always had dogs in the house, and never less than 4! Because I’ve grown up around animals my entire life, I would say I have quite the love for them along with the experience for caring for them. Because I’ve been given the opportunity to care for dogs from young to old, energetic to reserved my entire life, I know how to accommodate to the dogs needs and be knowledgable enough to know what the dog needs most. Wether it’s a shorter walk due to arthritis or more physical time outside to burn off some energy, you can be certain your dogs needs will be met and they will be loved on! I work fully remote and from home. I go on walks daily in the morning, afternoon and evening, so I am happy to bring along your dog or visit your home to take them on walks :-) I often let the dogs I watch roam freely unless specified otherwise by the owner. All plants/ Potential hazards are always removed before welcoming a dog or cat into my home.

About: I've looked after friends and families dogs whilst they are away on holiday, I used to walk my neighbours dog as young as 8. I lived in Australia for a year on a farm and always helped out with the animals and would love spending time with the working dogs. I currently work from home except for Thursday's. However, if your dog doesn't like to be left then I could potentially be able to work from home on that day if required but this would need to be confirmed during booking as id need to give my work notice and make sure this is ok. I currently don't have any pets, I am happy to come to your home and look after them or take them for walks/check in/ feed them. Also happy to do over night stays.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Shepway choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
