“Stephen was fantastic with Otto he has a great affinity with dogs and Otto warmed to him straightaway. He made him feel safe and secure and put us at ease knowing Otto was in good hands. His communication was excellent and he made it easy to arrange drop off and pick up. He sent regular updates and considered all Ottos needs. Would definitely recommend and use again.”

“My dog Maisie was with Tamsin for 3 nights. When I picked Maisie up , Tamsin said that she had no problem with her for those few days whatsoever. Tamsin, seems to be a natural in looking after animals. After I took Maisie home, she settled back immediately. So that confirms to me that she was very well for in Tamsin’s home. I have no hesitation in recommending Tamsin to any dog owner whatsoever. I certainly will be using her in the future, that’s if she isn’t booked up of course. Kind regards, James.”

“Selma took time to get our rescued young GSD used to her by arranging two meet and greets. He was immediately relaxed in her home environment and with the calm energy Selma projects. Such a relief to find such a lovely lady to trust with our dog. Thank you!”

“Denitsa was brilliant with our lovely and lively teenager Finn - great communication and some brilliant videos and photos sent during his stay. Would definitely recommend!”

“Hughie had a wonderful time with Shane and Moose. We got lots of pics and updates about the walks and beach fun they were having, and cute pics of them chilling out after all that playtime. All was fab, would highly recommend Shane.”

“Tamara has accepted last minute to take care of our little cocker Spaniel, Spring. She has been super kind and sent pictures and videos throughout the day. Thank you so much ! Spring had a great time 🤩”

“This was Barney's second stay with Christine, and he was very happy to get to her house, and made himself straight at home! He has clearly had a lovely time, and is tired out from all the fun he has had with her! Highly recommended and I wouldn't hesitate to ask her to look after him again.”

“Delphine was great, literally save us from a 8 hours trip to take my baby to my local cattery, as he couldn't go with us in the shuttle. She kept him until someone to pick him up and taking him to were he is staying. Lovely person and her kitty was very friendly with my old baby. Totally recommend.”

“Cherri was excellent with my Dog Arnie - She responded really quickly to any messages I sent, arranged a meet and greet which put my mind at rest as she is located in a lovely village with amazing walks 5 mins from her house. I am sure if Arnie could talk (although he is very vocal as Cherri found out !) he would say that he had an amazing time being pampered, fed and walked for the days he was there - was definitely a home from home experience - I would have no hesitation in booking Arnie in with Cherri again in the future.”

I’ve previously owned a Labrador who I cared for in her old age. I have also looked after other people’s dogs through ‘borrow-my-dogggy’. I have a solid understanding of dog behaviour and my mother in law is a dog trainer. I am a freelancer and work remotely, so my schedule is very open. About: I have had pets all throughout my life growing up. I have owned dogs for over 19 years and am used to looking after pets - mainly dogs, but also chickens, horses and cats. I currently work part-time and in a role where I can be mainly based at home. I live in an old house surrounded by lovely gardens and three acres of fields. I am close to many country walks and St Mary’s Bay beach is only 10 minutes drive from me. All dogs, like us humans, are different. Some prefer to be left in peace and quiet and others like company, some are very energetic and others are less so. How I care for your dog is entirely dependent on their preferences. And I have enough space in my home for them to roam quite freely and the great outdoors with fenced fields are merely seconds from our back door. I have enough space in my home to have 3 extra dogs with their own room.

“I genuinely cannot recommend Alex enough. From the get go him and his partner were so friendly and warming. Communication throughout was flawless from pictures to voice note updates. Really hope I get to use Alex again he was amazing and peach is missing them already !! Very thankful for how well he looked after her and how confident he made me feel that she was in such good hands! 100% recommend him to anyone !!”

“Demelza was an absolute delight, we met a few days before so she could spend time with poppy, our 16 month old whippet, and I could see from that meeting she had integrity, confidence and a great aptitude. Poppy warmed to her immediately and I could see she was a perfect fit. Demelza looked after poppy at our place and I felt very comfortable to leave her in charge. She sent me photos of her time with poppy, which was very reassuring and I could see Poppy was happy. I would definitely invite Demelza back next time we need some help. 10 out of 10 Thank you Demelza for your help…until next time”

“We could tell Mads had a love and understanding of cats on her initial visit and she and Luna soon became firm friends. We loved her daily updates and photos while we were away and we came home to a very contented cat. Respectful and reliable, we will definitely be asking Mads to take care of Luna in the future. ”

About: I have looked after dogs my whole life and have spent the last few years looking after cats as well. Both have their weird and wonderful ways! I have my own kitten currently, who is a Ragdoll mix, so I'm very used to the different personalities, routines and needs that cats can have. I understand that some cats are very sociable while others need a little more time and space to feel comfortable, and I'm happy to give each cat the care and attention they need.

“Thank you to Charmian for looking after our two cats for a week. She left the house looking spotless and we came home to two happy cats. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Xiaowei Looked after our cat very well. She send us an update everyday which made us feel more comfortable being away from our home. We would ask her again to look after our Sox.”

“Here's a positive review you can use for Jasmin: I recently had the pleasure of having Jasmin care for our two cats for the second time, and I couldn't be more pleased! From the moment she arrived, it was clear that she genuinely cares for animals. She took perfect care of our cats, ensuring they were fed, played with, and given plenty of love and attention. Throughout her stay, we stayed in contact, and she provided regular updates, which gave us peace of mind. Jasmin is not only responsible and trustworthy but also a kind and caring person. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter. Thank you!”

About: Hello! My name is Shannon and I've been dog walking and pet sitting for over 9 years, in Abu Dhabi, Montreal, Toronto and now in Hythe. I also had my own dogs and various pets growing up and volunteered at an animal shelter and vets in my formative years, safe to say I've had lots of experience caring for our furry friends! I’ve had many pet owners rely on me for care services for some years now and looking forward to meeting new ones! I currently live in Hythe in a two bedroom with a garden and lots of lovely trail walks nearby for your dog to enjoy. There is also the seafront a short distance and I love to take the dogs swimming in the warmer months. You can see lots of pictures of Lake Ontario I used to take the dogs to in Canada! I enjoy being active and going on adventurous walks so your dog will get all the exercise they need If they're an active breed. I'm also happy to cosy up on the couch and watch Netflix if they're a lazy pup, but I’ll offer them the best of both! I have the most experience with dogs but I have sat many cats, some hamsters, a bunny and a hedgehog! I take care of every animal as if they were my own and I am extremely proactive in my approach to caring for your pets. I will go above and beyond to assure their specific needs are met with regards to their health, activity levels, personalities and little quirks. I've had Dachsunds with separation anxiety, Great Danes with leash reactivity, senior dogs with health problems and all sorts! As long as you are transparent and communicate your pets needs, I am confident in my ability to meet them, so you can rest assured they are in good hands! Healthy, safe and most of all happy! I love to take photos so you will receive lots of great pictures of your pet, I send snaps and updates multiple times a day and I pride myself on my communication with pet owners. I provide boarding, day care, house sitting, drop in visits/walks and would love to take care of your dog, cat or any pet! Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and hope to hear from you soon!

“Steve walked Holly down the beach and around Hythe's golf course. Steve has been great at keeping me updated. Holly had a great day with him and we look forward the next time we'll need doggy day care. Totally recommend!”

“Shane is fantastic, I would have no hesitation leaving Hendrix in his care again. His gorgeous dog Moose is so friendly, relaxed and tolerant. Shane provided me with updates throughout the day and was flexible with pickup when I was running a little early. Hendrix came home knackered which I always think is a great sign of a fulfilling time. Thanks Shane, appreciate you!”

About: Both Tom and I have been around dogs all our lives and absolutely adore them. We live with our 2 lurchers, Lionel and Bodhi in Folkestone. I have a qualification in Pet First Aid and Dog CPR, and experienced in administering injectable medications. I am fully insured by Protectivity. We have extensive experience with senior dog care, sighthounds, and are used to looking after dogs of all sizes and personalities. We are fortunate to live in close proximity to the Kent Downs, and the beautiful Kent countryside, near lots of woods and walking distance to the coast. We love to get out in the fresh air as much as possible and would welcome your furry friends to come with us. There are also plenty of dog parks near our house, and we have booked private fields for dogs in our care, so they can really have a good run and play off lead. We only take up to two dogs at a time, as long to ensure they get sufficient supervision and snuggles. Walks can be solo or with our boys (who walk very well on lead). Lionel and Bodhi are very loving, friendly boys, with very different characters! Lionel loves everyone and wants to play. Bodhi is more laidback and is happy to watch playtime from the sofa! Both are good at sharing toys and snuggling. As with most sighthounds, after a short burst of energy, they love to snuggle up for the next few hours! Caring for animals is my priority, dog sitting and walking is my full-time focus. I live with my husband, who mostly works from home and has a flexible schedule. Depending on your preference, we can either go out together on group walks with our dogs (2 adults, plus one or two of our dogs, with your dog), or I can take your dog(s) on a solo walk. Whatever works best for your dog. Your dog will be with humans the majority of the time they are here, receiving love, care and attention. A typical day for us, We usually wake around 6am, have cuddles with our dogs and feed them their breakfast. Then we head out for our early morning walk (usually 1 - 2 hours). After that our boys tend to sleep til lunch time. We usually have then playtime, followed by more napping. We then take a second walk before or after their tea. Then toy time and tucked in bed around 9pm. As we have 2 lurchers our garden is very secure with high fences. There are comfy sofas in both rooms on the ground floor, plus dog beds, plenty of room to relax. If you like your dogs to be crated at night, there is room to add these. Our dogs sleep in one room, your dogs would have their own doggy bedroom (ground floor). We also have a room on the first floor for dogs that need a snug quiet space of their own.

About: Hello! I’m Tamara, a passionate dog lover from Ukraine. I dedicate myself fully to pet care, ensuring your furry friend will never feel lonely and will always have a full day of fun activities! Pet care isn’t just a side hobby for me—it is my full-time, 24/7 commitment. My entire day revolves completely around the happiness, safety, and routine of the dogs in my care. This is my second profile on the platform. My original account has 61 verified reviews and 8 repeat clients, but due to a recent Rover interface update, it stopped appearing directly in the search results. However, that profile is still fully active! I can easily send you the link to check my reviews, and I can still reply to messages there if you contact me through it. I created this new profile to ensure owners can find me easily in search.
“Bessie was well looked after by Lorna and her husband they took her for walks, gave her home made treats and even gave me a little bag at the end with more of the treats and some photos Thank you for taking such good care of my girl :)”

About: Iv owned dogs for over 30 years and have had the honour to work with them for the past 16, I have experience with most breeds being a dog groomer and owned many myself over the years. I have fostered over 100 rescues in the past 4 years also and am experienced in nervous, elderly, young and dogs needed extra care. I can administer medication including injections if needed. I have worked in boarding kennels before and have been boarding dogs myself for the past 10 years in my own home, where all dogs are welcomed into my family and treated as one of my own. I own two grooming salons where any boarding dogs can come with me, where they can meet other dogs, be in my company all day and will only be left if I need to pop to the shops, dogs are my life! And I spend all day everyday caring for my own and everyone else’s! I have two fully fenced gardens with over 100ft to run around in, I have 6 small rescue dogs myself that your dog can meet and play with. The gardens are accessible all day every day during the summer and at regular intervals in the winter depending on the weather. They are all brilliant with other dogs and are used to different dogs staying in our home. All dogs are allowed on my furniture! I always say to visitors “find a spot the dogs arnt sitting on” I also have indoor gates used as extra safety to avoid any escapees!
“I was very lucky to find Christine and that she was available to look after Lollie. It was short notice and really helped me out whilst I attended a funeral & family gathering. Lollie can be sensitive but I knew immediately Christine and her husband would be kind and gentle with her. Lollie was as happy as I’ve seen her going to someone she doesn’t know. Photos of Lollie were sent to reassure she was absolutely fine. Thank you so much.”

About: I have been a trusted home pet sitter over the last 15 years , and often walk or do daycare for dogs as well. I have been introduced to most of my regulars by word of mouth recommendation. Im experienced with anxious pets as well as those with basic medical requirements. I love hanging out with all animals, and cant have my own in rented accommodation. I have recently ended a role and I'm applying for new roles so I'm incredibly flexible. Happy to be asked at short notice and will make the best efforts to accept the the request. I enjoy playing with cats and dogs, keeping them entertained and giving lots of affection. Happy to go on big walks or shorter walks depending on what specific dogs may need.

“My dogs have been very well looked after today with Selma while my family and I were at my mother's funeral. Very difficult day but nice to know that the dogs were settled.”

About: I have had dogs and cats in my home since I was a small child alongside guinea -pigs, rabbits and chinchillas. Since living on my own (10yeard) I have had recue cats in my home and often looked after friends and family's animals by house sitting or walking them. For the last 2 years I have fostered dogs from the Charity Dogs Trust and have had basic training in grooming, giving medication and basic behavioural recognisition. I am most experienced with reactive dogs and those with anxiety. I currently work from home and only recently moved to Folkestone so I am looking to have some companionship and floofy cuddles during the day. Plus living opposite the beach there are loads of beach side walks and what better friend then a doggo to take with me. I have a flat with a roof terrace as well as access to the beach and no other pets currently so your fur baby will have a safe, quiet environment. I do have a crate if needed but usually let the floors on the sofa or in a Doggy bed. I drive so can pop into your home to pick up a pet if needed for walks or check ins. My neighbours don't have dogs either so reactive dogs should be happy too.
“Thank you so much Clara and your mum for looking after Winnie she had a brilliant time. Thanks so much !”

About: I am exactly who I would want to leave my dog with or have my dog walked by as I put dogs in front of humans 😂 My small Munsterlander is 4 now and I’ve had her since a pup, we’ve recently moved back to the UK from Spain and I’m out with her on big ball playing walks 4/5 times per day as she is super active and I need the outside time too so I thought this would be perfect for me to get a bit of pocket money and be around my favourite animals at the same time. I have trained my girl since a pup and understand all aspects of dog training and how they operate in general so I’m happy to have dogs off the lead although at the same time happy to walk them on a long lead :) Walking wise I’ll have mine with me and she’s off the lead running chasing the ball in the local fields etc so any dog can join in and we’ll have a great time if you want me to have your dog overnight I’ll make it so they don’t even want to come back to you which is exactly what I would expect and hope for if I was to leave my baby! How will I do that? 🤔 I’ll make sure they have the best walks ever so we’re all chilled for cozy cuddle time and I’ll cook up something meaty for them super nutritional and make sure they sleep right next to me by the bed :) I actually do nothing all day everyday apart from look after my best mate (Maddie in my photo) since I’ve moved back here to the UK I find myself out 4/5 times per day with my dog so would be the exact same to look after another doggy :) There is no escape as we’re in a flat so no safety concerns in that sense this also encourages me even more to make sure once my doggy has chilled for a couple hours we’re back outside playing again as there isn’t a garden.

About: My experience started with 3 years of dog walking, where I also provided pet sitting and cat drop‑ins for clients. When I moved into self‑employed cleaning, people trusted me around their pets because of my calm, reliable nature. I’m comfortable with different routines, temperaments, and energy levels, and I always aim to make pets feel safe and understood. Pet care is a natural part of my routine, and I plan my days around giving each pet calm, focused attention. I keep my schedule steady so they always receive reliable care, gentle company, and consistency throughout the day. I create a peaceful, safe environment by following each pet’s routine closely and respecting their boundaries. I move at their pace, offer calm reassurance, and keep their home feeling secure and familiar. My focus is always on comfort, safety, and clear communication.

“We could not be more grateful for Jasmine’s time with our dog Leia. Jasmine took the time to ensure Leia was happy and enjoying her time. Jasmine incorporated her family time to Leia and made Leia feel a part of the family for a walk together. Leia wore a smile every day for the week that Jasmine had her and loved her company. Jasmine used her expertise to ensure Leia walked calmly and to her commands. We are lucky to have Jasmine both for us and for Leia. Thank you Jasmine. 10/10.”

If you would prefer us to stay indoors, please let me know what music and TV they enjoy, sometimes it helps to have something you watch on in the background. I'm currently work part time, I enjoy morning walks, and would love a 4 legged friend to join me. I have alot of flexibility, and can be avaliable at short notice. For walks, it is good for your dog to meet me, and see how we get on. I always have doggy bags and treats! Ask as many questions as you need to.
About: I have always had a dog in the household so they are a huge pet of my life but after recently losing our two family dogs, I would love to spend my free time in the company of other dogs to fill the missing gap of not having a pet around. I am very active myself and as I live in the countryside with a large garden as well as being near the beach, there are many places I could walk the dogs and keep them entertained. I am currently completing my last year of A levels and working part time but I mostly have free evenings and weekends that I’d like to fill with dog care in my own home. We have a fully fenced garden safe for all dogs and are surrounded by plenty of fields where they can be kept on the lead or let off if able to. The driveway has a gate that is kept shut and the front garden is also fenced off from the road.

From energetic puppies who need plenty of playtime to senior dogs who require patience and gentle care, I understand that every dog is unique. Whether it's long walks, play sessions or simply providing companionship, I make sure every dog feels safe, loved and happy. About: I have experience of Family pets of English Bull terriers when younger and Boston Terriers as current family pets which I am mainly responsible for. I am a university student, so I have a semi-flexible schedule. Weekend work best for house sitting due to lecutures but if your pet can be left alone for a few hours I can do week days x I Currently have Three Boston terriers where I share feeding, grooming and walking care with my family. Raising one from birth has given me insight on how to keep them safe from a young age.
About: Most dog walkers and minders will tell you they love dogs. I do too - but I've invested in understanding and caring for them. Certified Professional Dog Walker - this isn't a hobby or a side hustle. I'm a certified professional dog walker. Your dog is in the hands of someone who has been formally assessed and qualified to do exactly this. IMDT Level 3 Qualification - the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) is one of the most respected professional bodies in the UK for dog behaviour and training. Level 3 means I understand stress signals, group dynamics and how to read a dog's emotional. When your dog is in my care, nothing goes unnoticed. Qualified Canine First Aider - this one matters more than people realise. Accidents happen on walks. A dog can cut a paw, choke, or have a reaction to something they've eaten. I have certified canine first aid training and know exactly how to respond in an emergency - calmly, correctly and quickly. Small numbers - I will never take on more dogs than I can give proper attention to. Small Pack, Big Love. A professional background in running things - before Dog Daycare - I spent fifteen years as a project director for some of the world's biggest brands. I know how to run an operation properly: clear communication, reliability, punctuality, and keeping you fully informed. You'll always know what your dog got up to. Sandgate and the Kent coast as a classroom - every walk here is genuinely enriching. Beach, coastal path, open countryside, the sensory environment alone is brilliant for dogs. Transparent care - I'll tell you how your dog did, what I noticed, what they enjoyed. A Bit More About Me I'm an open water swimmer, Iron Man competitor and CrossFit enthusiast - so I understand what it means to be committed to something physical and to show up consistently regardless of weather or mood. Your dog gets walked properly in January as much as July. I'm multilingual (Dutch, French, English, enough Spanish and German to get by) Practical Details 📍 Based in Sandgate, CT20 🗺️ Covering Folkestone, Hythe, Saltwood, Cheriton and surrounding villages ✅ IMDT Level 3 qualified ✅ Certified professional dog walker ✅ Qualified canine first aider 🏛️ Animal activity licence in progress 🐕 Small numbers – Samll Pack, Big Love 📱 Updates and photos throughout every session 🤝 Free meet and greet before any booking Get In Touch If you'd like to know more, have a chat about your dog, or book a free meet and greet, I'd love to hear from you. The best care starts with the right conversation. Walk. Mind. Care. 🐾 Oh yes, I have 2 huskies :-) Dog walking and minding is my full-time profession not a side job or a favour. I'm available Monday to Friday throughout the day, with weekend availability on request. I keep my numbers deliberately small so every dog in my care gets proper time and attention, not a slot in an overcrowded diary. Walks are planned around your dog's individual needs not a fixed conveyor belt. Your dog's safety is built into everything I do. I'm a qualified canine first aider so if anything happens on a walk or during minding, I respond correctly and calmly. I'm also IMDT Level 3 qualified, which means I read dogs properly - stress signals, body language, thresholds - before anything becomes a problem. I have two dogs of my own - 2 amazing huskies - who are calm, well socialised and excellent company. My outdoor space is fully enclosed and secure. Every session comes with updates and photos - you'll always know exactly how your dog is doing.

“Jelena was absolutely marvelous!! She has a natural affinity with dogs and Lola had a lovely stay. She had lots of exercise and was very well looked after. Every day we received pictures of our happy girl having a wonderful time. Thanks again Jelena and see you next time!”

“Lizzie and her lovely family are everything you could hope for - kind, experienced, confident and also ready to follow normal routine. Our dog was instantly at ease and it was a stress free experience as we knew Tessa was safe, happy and well looked after. Great communication and lovely to get photos and updates too. I would recommend Lizzie without hesitation and will go back whenever we need a dog sitter.”

“Like the other reviews said, Mark was amazing looking after both Harry and Ralph. We got regular photo updates of our boys having the best time and smiles on their faces. Harry and Ralph quickly built a bond with Mark and would definitely be using Mark again when we need a dog sitter! Thanks Mark x”
