About: My partner Chris and I have both had dogs in our families from being children. We recently lost our beautiful boxer nina and still have a lot of love and time to give to dogs until we feel ready to get another dog of our own. We have experience with rescue dogs and family pets, from puppies to senior dogs. We look forward to hearing from you and meeting your four legged friend 🧡😊 Chris and I both work full time through the week but have availability on weekends and Mondays are my rest days so we are happy to help during these times. I may be able to accommodate a later drop off for boarding on Friday's after work from 6pm on occasion. Please message me to discuss if this is required. We have a secure garden and live by a field and dog walking area. Your dog would spend time with us in our home. We keep a tidy home and would therefore treat any owners home with the same care and respect if house sitting. We will only take one dog in at a time unless from the same household for your peace of mind. We want your pet to feel completely at home with us !

“Amelia was amazing with Luna, she came for two visits whilst we were away over night and sent updates and pictures which really re assured me. She also came to meet myself and Luna before hand which I also thought was really nice of her, I will 110% be using Amelia again and highly recommend her. She is amazing!! ❤️”

About: We live in a clean, modern house next door to a large country park where we walk our Sprocker Willow twice a day. When we aren’t at the local park, we use AllTrails to explore walks across the region or you might catch us at our cricket club! James works in Education and holds an Enhanced DBS check for piece of mind. We want to use Rover as an opportunity to trial life with two dogs, during their stay your pooch will very much become part of our little pack. Making sure to send Paw-rents pictures and updates on our day! James has recently completed Pet First Aid Training. James is a Teacher and Samantha works from home in finance. Whilst looking after your doggo we will keep time alone to a absolute minimum but Willow will be around for company! Owners can see our walks on AllTrails if requested! We have a fenced back garden with a soil, decking and stones. We usually leave the door open during the day for Willow and friends to come and go as they please. We are quite happy for visiting pups to sleep wherever they like but will always follow the instructions of their parents! We’d like to think that you are getting a quality service where your dog is treated as ours and will be taken on quality nature walks whilst in our care.

“Great service once again, thanks Zoe!”

“Very happy with the care my cat, Phoebe received. She is a rescue and very timid so didn't need any interactions but was updated daily on toileting and food so knew everything was ok. Thank you so much Simona and Kristina we will feel happy to leave Phoebe in your care again :)”

“I recently hired Charlotte to care for my two cats, Bonnie and Clyde, while I was away on a week-long trip. From the initial consultation to the final visit, Charlotte was professional, reliable, and showed a genuine love for animals. The cats clearly adored Charlotte, and I received regular updates and photos and videos, which put my mind at ease while I was away. The house was also spotless when I returned, which was a lovely bonus. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Charlotte to anyone seeking top-notch care for their beloved pets.”

About: 🐶I grew up around animals and feel like dogs are part of my DNA. My dad breeds border terriers and we had lakeland terriers, lurchers, whippets and dachshunds over the years! I love all types of dogs, as does my partner, who grew up with a cocker spaniel named Harvey. He recently passed away and left a big hole in our lives. We’re hoping to fill the void by meeting lots of little beauties and welcoming them into our home. 🌳 I have a beautiful garden and plenty of spare time. I feel like the space we have is such a waste with just the two of us. Our friends and families pets just love the space we have and I can’t wait to share it with others. 🦮 I love to walk and especially love having a four legged friend for company. There are so many lovely places your best friend and I could discover together. I’d be happy to WhatsApp or message you pictures whilst you’re away so you know all is well. Nothing makes me happier than making dogs happy!!! 💼 I work full time but flexibly with a couple of days a week from home so I can often be available, just reach out and ask! I’m available for boarding on weekends too Friday-Sunday and could make an extra day work for anybody wanting to extend their weekend to Monday… 🏡 We have a beautiful fenced back garden with plenty of room for your pups to play. We also have a large garage for shelter if they prefer their own space too. There are only two of us in the house and we regularly look after our families fur babies so we’d be quite happy for them to share the rest of our home with us too.

About: Hi, I’m Ashleigh! While I’m new to offering pet care professionally, I’ve spent over 15 years around cats and dogs—raising, walking, and helping care for family pets and friends’ dogs. I’ve always had a strong bond with animals, and now I’m excited to turn that lifelong love into something more structured and supportive for local dog owners. I’m currently raising a young German Shepherd, so I understand the importance of consistency, patience, and building confidence—especially with more sensitive or high-energy dogs. I also have a gorgeous 8 year old cat I’ve raised from a kitten. I offer solo walks and drop-in visits tailored to each dog’s pace and comfort level. Whether your dog needs some calm companionship, help settling when you’re out, or just a steady walking routine, I’m here to help. I’m based in Houghton le Spring and cover surrounding areas within a 6-mile radius. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions—I’d love to meet your pup! Pet care fits around my other self-employed business, and I make sure to keep my schedule flexible so I can give each pet the time and attention they need. I plan my days carefully to allow for walks, drop-ins, and time with my own dog, and I only take on a limited number of bookings to ensure I can give each visit my full focus. When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on maintaining a calm, structured routine to keep them feeling safe and secure. I follow their usual schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime, ensuring they get the right amount of exercise and enrichment. Whether it’s a peaceful, solo walk or some interactive play, I tailor each visit to their needs, always giving them attention without overwhelming them. I also respect their space, keeping things tidy and leaving the home just as I found it.

Ashleigh S.
“Ziggy gets so excited when he gets to see Ash! They’re best friends and she plays with him so much, he’s a super energetic spaniel and she takes him on some fantastic walks when sitting him! Always love the pictures she’s sends”

Emma R.
“Emma is such a caring polite person. I worked with her for a bit in one of the petshops that she worked at and have known her for years. She is a good listener, hard working and loyal. I would highly recommend her to look after your pet and give them lots of love and attention :)”

Millie S.
“Millie is a fab pet care giver. Growing up, she and her sister always had animals in the home, including Guinea pigs, rabbits, cats as well as a dog. During her teenage years she also volunteered at a local cat rescue charity and learned invaluable lessons about how to look after and care for our feline friends especially ones that had not been so well looked after before they arrived at the rescue centre. She is a keen walker and loves the outdoors so would relish an opportunity to share these times with a pet dog belonging to someone who cannot get out and about with their pooch as much as they’d like. I’ve seen her use positive reinforcement and praise when handling the family’s own dogs as well as ours to make sure she builds the best relationships. She would be equally happy visiting someone’s home to feed and fuss their cat as she would be walking their dog.”
