“I had to take a trip to visit relatives overseas, and was so nervous leaving my cat alone at home for over a week, and wondered if she would be bored or lonely. Serene was wonderful, she knew exactly what to ask about her needs and likes when I first met her, and my cat Willow loved her (more than she usually demonstrates to me... I was a little jealous, but very reassured that she was well cared for when I was away, totally worth it). Serene was always on time with updates and visits, keeping close to my cat's normal routine, Willow plays with Serene and lies on her lap so happily. When she came home with a bleeding paw the day before I was due to come back, Serene called me immediately and took her to a vet as I asked, arranging treatment until I could come home the next day to pick her up. About: I’ve taken care of a variety of animals, mostly dogs, having run my own pet care and mess cleaning service a few years ago (Furry Friends Cleanup Crew). I am very comfortable with dogs, cats and other animals of all sizes and temperaments. Having said this, it’s still important that I meet your furry companions before a sit to give them a chance to know me and so they’re more comfortable during our time together. I’m lucky enough to have a flexible work from home role so pet care works very well with my lifestyle. As long as you are happy for me to bring my laptop along I am able to house/pet sit as long as you need. I have my own car and a clean driving license. At my home I have plenty of room and a high walled garden, so plenty of safety and space. I make sure to give dogs as many bathroom breaks as they need when sitting, wether that means taking them for frequent walks or simply letting them out in the garden if that is the preference.

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats since I was a baby. Growing up my grandparents also owned parrots, bunnies, dogs of all sizes, cats, tortoises, fish, you name it…my parents always had dogs and cats. I also owned a dog for 11 years. I feel most comfortable around animals :) Being an older sister of 3, I grew up being the responsible one, caretaker and I’d also walk the dogs, train them, feed them and help my parents in any way I could. When I adopted my first own dog, I learned how much love I have to give and how much responsibility it takes to look after a furbaby. He was very anxious and reactive, so it was 11 years of learning and challenges, but he was the sweetest and goodest boy, right up until the end. I’m currently working full-time. For now I’m looking to combine my love for animals and building up a side income during my free time. I’m happy to look after and walk your pets during my free time on the weekends. I can drive which allows me to get to places a bit further out. I cannot have pets in my own home sadly. However, I’m happy to come in and check on your kitten or pooch while you’re away. I can also pet sit if needed and play with, feed and walk your dogs. I can also train and teach your dog (or cat, if they feel like it haha) some tricks. Work on their confidence by using gentle rewards and lots of patience on their walks. I have experience with reactive dogs and I know how important it is to maintain comfort and special care for the sensitive pups.
