About: Every dog and cat needs their own level of individualized care. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all sitting—each animal has their own routine, personality, and needs, and I make sure those are respected and followed closely. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies and kittens to senior dogs and cats who may need extra patience, medication, or mobility support. For younger pets, I can reinforce basic training and good habits like leash manners, crate comfort, potty routines, and calm behavior. For seniors, I provide gentle care, close monitoring, and a calm environment so they feel safe and supported. I also pride myself on being reliable, observant, and communicative. I pay attention to subtle changes in behavior or health, keep pet parents updated with photos and notes, and treat every home and pet as if they were my own. My goal isn’t just to “watch” your pet—it’s to make sure they feel happy, secure, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. I'm currently working full time as a dog walker and I absolutely love the job. It suits me perfectly and it keeps me and the dogs fit as well 😀 I care for pets like they’re part of the family—whether they’re in my home or yours 🐾💛. Here’s how I make sure they’re happy, safe, and comfortable in either setting: Respecting your routine I follow your instructions closely—feeding times, walking routes, training rules, and house guidelines. Comfort in familiar surroundings Keeping their normal environment, toys, and sleeping spots just the way they like. Daily care & enrichment Meals, walks, playtime, litter box or yard cleanup, meds if needed, and lots of affection.

I can’t thank Fiona enough for looking after my 3 cats on Christmas Day! Fiona visited my property for a meet and greet before hand and sent me numerous amounts of videos and pictures of the cats playing with the catnip toys she brought. I would recommend Fiona, excellent communication and made me and my partner feel relaxed that they were taken care of! Thank you so much😀 much appreciated! Xx

She came to meet us prior to the booking, though Bella hid behind the sofa!!! Hopefully Bella will make friends with Eve next time (very nervous cat initially). Honestly contact Eve she is lovely and trustworthy. X

About: I’ve always grew up around dogs and have a cockapoo of my own who is turning 6 this year. He is my pride and joy and have had him since he was a puppy. I should be available to mind your dog when my beloved boy is not in the house which is usually every other weekend as he goes to stay with other family. I work full time so would not be able to take your dog unless I was off work during the week. I am usually available on weekends , please feel free to message so I can check availability and in some cases re- arrange things. I would be available most evenings if required for dog walk or dog sit. My current work schedule is: Tuesday 8.30-6.30 Wednesday 8.30- 6 Thursday 8.30-6.30 Friday 8.30- 6.30 My partner finishes work at 2.30 on a Friday. Please message with any requests as unless I am working I can usually be quite flexible with my arrangements as my dog enjoys his sleep overs with other family. I have a high fenced back yard. I am happy to take any bedding/ blankets belonging to the pet to make them feel more comfortable within my own home. I also allow dogs on my furniture and bed as feel they should be treated like part of the family . The dog would never be left alone within my care where I go they go and if they don’t like social settings that’s fine, walks and chills on the sofa also work for me! For every dog I consider taking I would like to meet the dog and owners to understand the dog and make sure I can meet its needs. I am also happy to send owners updates of the dog when they are under my care as I know it’s Important to know your dog is having a good time!

About: Hi there! I am a musical theatre graduate and have recently moved back up north from London to be with my family and most importantly: my dogs! I live with my mam, my chihuahuas and a German shepherd. A big size difference, I know! My parents own boarding kennels which I have helped and worked in since I could walk. I have been caring for dogs basically my entire life. I will provide your pet with hugs, love, walks, playtime and everything in between. Even if your pet just wants someone to sit and watch Animal Planet with, I’m more than happy to do so. I understand how important it is that your fur-baby is given the world and more - they are family after all. I am currently in between performing jobs so can usually work around you and the pup. On weekends, walks, pick up and drop offs will typically be after 3/4pm In my own home, we have a large, private, enclosed garden for the pups to run around in. Door's and gates are always shut behind us to ensure pets don't accidentally slip out. We also have camera's that are on 24/7, security is so important! In your own home, I will treat it as my own, remaining incredibly vigilant and keeping the pup secure. On walks, I rarely let the dog off leash. This is due to many reasons: mainly keeping your pup safe. Keeping them on lead ensures that I have control over any situation that should occur, such as a high speed vehicle driving past, an aggressive dog coming towards us etc. Even if they are great off leash with you, they always act different when it's not their owner who's walking them. It's better to be safe than sorry! They will be taken to an enclosed area, such as a skating park or tennis court where they will be allowed to run for as long as they need.

There are 303 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in South Tyneside. About 89% of South Tyneside sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
