My Animal Science background has given me a strong understanding of animal welfare, safe handling, and recognising signs of stress, discomfort, or illness. I always follow owner instructions carefully, including feeding, medication, post-surgery care, and exercise limits. Cleanliness, routine, and close supervision are very important to me, and I will always keep you updated with messages and photos for peace of mind.
Information Alexandra S. would like to know about your pet
I’d love to know about your pet’s usual routine, feeding schedule, and any medical or behavioural needs so I can keep things as normal as possible for them. If they’re recovering from surgery or need medication, I’m comfortable following clear instructions and keeping a close eye on their wellbeing. It’s also helpful to know how they are around other dogs, busy environments, or new people so I can plan safe, enjoyable walks — whether that’s a quiet route or a beach adventure. Clear communication means I can give your pet the best care possible and keep you updated with photos and messages for peace of mind.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I like to tailor the day to suit their personality and energy levels. For dogs, this might mean a good walk along the beach, exploring local parks, sniffy enrichment walks, or some fun games to keep them mentally stimulated. I’m a big believer in positive, calm interactions and making sure they feel secure and happy. If allowed by owners, I’m always happy to treat them to the occasional pup cup or extra fuss — but only with your permission. For cats, I focus on keeping their routine consistent, interactive play, and giving them space when they need it. My aim is always to make them feel relaxed and at home.

Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Alex ☺️ I have recently completed my degree in Animal Science, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve supported elderly members of my community by walking their dogs, and I’ve also looked after dogs recovering from surgery, so I’m comfortable following routines and keeping a close eye on wellbeing. I’m calm, patient, and genuinely love getting to know each pet’s personality. Whether it’s a relaxed stroll along the beach, a good sniffy park walk, enrichment games, or just quiet company for a nervous dog, I tailor my care to suit them. I’m also a cat owner, so I understand how important routine, space, and trust are — especially for more independent pets. Your pet’s safety and happiness always come first with me. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos, and I’m always happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand so we can all get to know each other and make sure it feels like the right fit.
Reviews

I have recently left my husband I met her in a pub so she could meet Askit and for me to give her a key. I did not realise I had not updated my address to flat I am renting so she turned up at marital where husband still lives. She travelled to my new address and she walked him longer than the 1 hour I had booked.
Alex is a lovely girl, who took to Marcus and he took to her too! She's coming this weekend to stay over, whilst I'm away for the weekend. It's the first time I'll be leaving him for this long, but I'm sure he's in capable hands!

Alex, our nine-year-old cat Lacey had the best visits with you. We really appreciated all of the updates and pictures/ videos of you ladies getting to know each other and clearly having a lovely time. I'm an anxious Cat-Dad who always wants the best for Lacey, so these updates and coming home to her clearly having had a great time with you meant the world to us. You went above and beyond at every turn Alex, so we won't hesitate to invite you back to look after Lacey next time we're away. Thank you so very much! 🐈⬛

Thanks, top notch dog walker
