“went away for a few nights so Louise popped in morning and night to check on our two fur babies for us! She came over and met them both before hand just so they got used to her! During her visits she kept us updated by sending us photos and letting us know how they were getting on! Will definitely be using her again for future holidays 🤍”

“I loved these guys!!! Felt so so comfortable having them alone in my home, but most importantly trusted them with my little Willow, communicated well and kept in touch whilst I was out of the country. Updated with notes and photos, had complete peace of mind leaving my cat with them. Thanks again, willow is looking forward to seeing you both again.”

“Couldn’t recommend Sima highly enough! Looked after my cat for two weeks whilst we were on holiday, spending time with her petting and playing as well as feeding, changing litter and cleaning those little “accidents” that all pet owners understand! She sent regular updates and photos/videos which reassured me everything was fine at home. The house was spotless when we returned and she’d even watered my plants! Don’t hesitate, great service from a lovely friendly individual! Thanks Sima!”

“Kayleigh was brilliant, the cats loved her and she sent us reports with pics to reassure us that they were fine. I think they had a great time with her and I hope she can visit them again for our next holiday!”
“It was our first time leaving our cat on his own overnight so we were a bit worried but Ella-Marie put our minds at rest and kept us updated with words and photos. A massive thank you from us all, you went above and beyond and we are so impressed and thankful (:”

“Katie was fabulous at looking after Ruby. Very professional in all of her communication and kept me fully up to date (with photos of a very happy hound!). I could see how happy and relaxed Ruby was in being looked after by Katie who was able to give her medication and take excellent care of her. Ruby can’t wait to see her again!”

“Jatuporn took amazing care of my cats while I was away. She’s super trustworthy, communicative, and kind. I came home to two very happy kitties. She kept me updated the whole time with pictures as well. Truly great service! I’d definitely book her again! Thank you Jafuporn! :)”

“We have been using Julie to look after our cat for many years now. She is very reliable and will go out of her way to accommodate us if we have a last minute trip. Thank you!”

“What can i say about Zoe.. other than she is amazing. I carnt thank her enough for looking after my cat Marnie and also my home. She made my holiday even better knowing that my pet was in safe secure care. I would highly recommend this lovely lady to anyone. I will certainly be booking Zoe everytime we have a break away. My cat was well cared for. And to be honest 2 weeks is a long time to be away from your pet. But Zoe made Marnie happy and content. Thankyou so much from the bottom of our hearts. Marie and Marnie xx”

“Amela is very reliable and gives great updates on my cat when I am away. Also has lots of common sense, when something didn't work the way she expected it to she immediately contacted me. I have no reservations to recommend her on her reliability and common sense attitude.”

“Thank you Sophie for stepping in last minute to give puppy Lottie some company while I was at work Really appreciate you making the time to come and meet us all last night too to put our minds at rest and to see what she'd need on the day! Very caring and a natural around animals!”

About: As a huge dog lover, I have extensive experience working with all breeds and temperaments — from small companion dogs to larger, more challenging breeds such as Cane Corsos and XL Bullies. My background includes working with the police as a dog handler, carer, and trainer, giving me hands-on experience in canine behaviour, training, and handling. I am also qualified and experienced in assistance dog handling and canine behaviour, and I currently work as a night veterinary assistant. This means your pets will always be cared for by someone knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about animal welfare. I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life, raising puppies and adopting rescue dogs throughout childhood and into adulthood. I currently have two rescue dogs of my own: Milo is my adopted Romanian mixed breed. He is well trained, gentle, and very affectionate. He gets along well with most dogs, although he can feel a little anxious around very large or overly excitable dogs. Milo can also be nervous in unfamiliar environments at first, but once he feels settled and comfortable, his soft and loving personality shines through. He is especially gentle and friendly with children once familiar with his surroundings. Moby is my 3-year-old Collie mix, also rescued from Romania. He is a sweet, easy-going boy who can be timid when meeting new people due to his difficult past, but he absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys playing. He can spook easily at times, but he is very well behaved, fully house trained, and equally happy having a play or simply relaxing and chilling out. I am very much a dog person and feel completely comfortable caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I treat every dog as if they were my own and always aim to provide a calm, loving, and safe environment. You can be confident that your dog will be happy, relaxed, and comfortable during their stay — a true home away from home. He is a routine man and will wake up minutes before my alarm for a morning walk and food, he then usually has a afternoon walk followed by an evening walk before bedtime. I previously worked from home that allowed me to care for pets while your away and treat them with as much love as I do with Milo and Moby and their maintaining with routines. Your dog will be more than happy and comfortable here with milo and Moby, me and my partner pampered like one of our own along side regular updates. I have unclosed back garden, where they are free to wonder out and in along with Milo to keep company and plenty toys keeping keep them entertained while they stay, home away for home. Caring for your pet will be around your daily life and care for them, if they are crate trained or sleep in their own bed or in ours we will stick to what you/they know best to keep everything as natural and comfortable during their stay.
About: I have helped friends out with their dog walking, dog sitting and would really love to meet some new pups and get out more. I have dog sat for a few times over the weekends with small and large dogs to making sure to follow meal times and plans and any other requirements needed for the pup, also taking them to the beach and not just to a field close by. I have also got my level 1 animal care certificate and diploma, my level 2 animal care/management extended certificate, and I am also qualified as a level 2 dog groomer and will be completing my level 3 in September. I’m currently working at a doggy daycare during the week but would still love to meet all your lovely fur babies and give them all the playtime and walks they would want I’m completely flexible on weekends and can be during the week on selected days. If your fur babies where to come to where I live for a while my back and front gardens are completely fenced in the back has 6 foot fences and the gate can be locked the front garden fences are shorter but is still safe. Your animals will be completely safe and well looked after with me with much love and playtime.

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Sunderland
Julie is a wonderful, trustworthy cat sitter, and we very highly recommend her. She has looked after our cats two times now, and on each occasion we know they are in safe hands. Julie spends time playing with them (on top of feeding them) and making sure they are okay. They are happier for being looked after in their own home because of the excellent care Julie provides. It’s lovely to receive photos too while we are away. Thanks a lot, Julie, from the Robsons 😻💖😺

I was really pleased with the care my cat received while I was away. She was reliable, caring, and kept me updated, which gave me peace of mind. My cat was happy and well looked after when I returned. I would definitely recommend chelsea to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
