“Absolutely amazing! Molly took care of my little diva for a daycare and she had an absolute fun! Even met Molly’s daughters. Molly sent updates and was absolutely responsive and sent a video in her massive garden - plenty for my lil fluff ball to run around especially with her energy levels being on the roof after the long drive. Molly was accommodating when we came in. Showed us the space bella can roam around. Definitely recommend booking her. I’ll be using her services again in the future! Thanks molly! Xx”

“I have only positive views to share about Charlotte: such a friendly and positive person. She came back to my last minute plea for help very quickly and was super efficient on communication, which made my life as a first time pet owner, so much easier. Beni, loved his stay with Charlotte (I can say), the bond was there instantly. I collected a very chilled, happy and relaxed pup. Thank you so much for helping me out with Beni, I am sure Beni would give his two paws up for his pleasant stay and would he need to come back 🥰🐾”

“Thank you so much Gintare. I have never used a sitting service before and was as anxious as Otto leaving him with a stranger. You put us both at ease very quickly and your regular updates and photos allowed me to relax knowing he was in good hands.”

“Johnny is a great dog carer. My puppy and Johnny's dog made friends instantly during initial meet and greet and it was obvious then she'll be well looked after. When I left my dog for a day care she got plenty of walk time, Johnny sent many photos and when I picked her up she was happy and relaxed. I will definitely use Johnny again.”

“Cathryn and her family were great with Lola. Looked after her at really short notice and she clearly had a great day being walked and getting lots of cuddles. Would highly recommend!”

About: I absolutely adore all animals- especially dogs- and I am passionate about their welfare. My husband and I have cared for dogs for over ten years now, as well as cats, turtles and fish. I am DBS checked and certified in canine first aid. As a pet owner myself, I fully understand how hard it can be to trust someone else with your precious little fur baby; rest assured they will be treated as one of my own here. Lots of love and dedicated attention in a peaceful, rural environment. I currrently work from home most days. This means that I can be flexible with my sitting schedule and also with walking/ play times etc. I live with my husband, Dan and our rescue French Bulldog, Stitch. We are fortunate to have a spacious house with a large, enclosed garden. We also have a woodland, park and nature reserve all within walking distance so plenty of opportunities for lovely walks.
“Hannah is a responsible person and we felt comfortable leaving our puppy with her. She looked after him very well, and Toby was very happy around her. Would definitely book again.”

“Flynn had a fantastic time with Joy and her family in their lovely home. It was great to receive pictures and updates of his day. He had a lovely time. Joy and her husband are very attentive and ensure they cover everything regarding your pets needs. I'd fully recommend to anyone.”

“Our dog seemed to have a brilliant day with Venetia and Chris. When we collected her, she was right at home. We won't hesitate to book again. Very accommodating hosts, thank you.”

“Aryane has a friendly disposition, and clearly has a way with animals. Roo was immediately put at ease and I left her there feeling very confident. Photos supplied to me during the day showed Roo relaxing on the sofa and looking quite happy about the house. When I collected her at the end of the day she was not anxious to leave or stressed in any way. When booking I tried 5 other people to no avail, I was so relieved when Aryana offered her availability. I am so grateful for her help and would definitely book her again.”

“Naomi was quick to respond to what was a last minute request. We managed a lovely meet and greet which put me at total ease to leave Dougie with her. I know Dougie loved his day as he was a tired boy when he got home. The photos during the day made me smile ands also relax knowing he was having a great time. I will definitely be using Naomi again and can totally recommend.”

About: We have been around animals especially dogs all our lives, as a child and adult. We've owned dogs, cats, horses and chickens. We are retired so we have lots of spare time. We lost one of our aged dogs a few years ago but have now got the elderly cockapoo and an adorable 1 year old Jackapoo.. We have owned, poodles, labradors, spaniels, a cockerpoo and terriers. We also have experience of caring for dogs into old age and that have medical needs and reqiure a timetable of medication. Jill and I are retired so are available most of the time, whether weekdays or weekends. We also have 2 friendly dogs so take many walks in the day for exercise. The young one also loves to play with ther dogs. Living on the edge of the Cotswolds also makes this very pleasurable for us and the dogs. We have a good-size secure walled garden to provide an outside area to play in, as well as a safe home environment with no children.
“Absolutely brilliant! No worries at all first time leaving our new dog we’ve only had 14 weeks. Feel confident to leave Reg now with Samantha and her lovely husband for our four night trip in May.”

About: Loving, Experienced Dog Carer with 10+ Years of Experience Hello! My name is Jonathan, and I’ve spent over a decade caring for dogs with love, patience and dedication. I’ve had the joy of owning four dogs in the past and was responsible for every aspect of their care—from long daily walks to feeding, playtime, training, and keeping them happy and healthy. I’ve also looked after dogs for friends, providing daily walks, meals, and companionship whenever they needed a helping hand. Although I don’t currently have a dog of my own (I occasionally travel for work), I work from home Monday to Friday and have plenty of time, attention, and affection to give your pup. I’m available for both daytime care and overnight boarding, and your dog will always be close by my side while I work, with regular play breaks, walks, and garden time to keep them happy and stimulated. I truly love dogs and animals of all kinds. I enjoy getting to know their personalities, playing with them, and ensuring they always feel safe, loved, and well looked after. I’ve trained all four of my own dogs and enjoy teaching new tricks when the opportunity arises. Your dog will be treated just like one of my own—with kindness, attention, and a focus on their wellbeing. I look forward to welcoming your furry friend into my home! I work at home from Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and I go on at least one long walk every day. I like to take regular breaks to play with and look after your dog and let him or her out to pee and poo regularly. They will get a walk of at least 40 minutes every day and they can spend time in my patio and garden throughout the day as well. I have a completely fenced in garden to keep your dog safe and your dog can either relax next to me as I work or lie in the living room either in a basket, on the sofa or in a crate if you prefer. I make sure that your dog always has water available and I let them out to go to the toilet regularly. I leave the back kitchen door open when it is sunny so they can come in and out of the house and garden as they please.

“Parminder looked after my dachshund puppy for 5 days in a row whilst I had training with work- Dexter loved going to his home and was super excited to arrive every morning, and always came back happy and well looked after! I was updated regularly to let me know how he was getting on and always given great handovers and lots of info on how Dexter had been :)”

About: I’ve always had a love for dogs even since I was young. At 15, I finally got my own dog which I trained and took care of by myself. I love dogs company and taking care of them. During my undergraduate degree, I decided to join Rover as a way to help earn whilst being student, but also as a way to spend time with dogs as I missed my own dog, Harley, so much. I have done home-stays with puppies and post-surgery dogs to keep them company, whilst their owners are out. I also have been trusted by owners to pop in for daily walks whilst owners are at work to give some fresh air and company to your loved ones. As my dog at home is my pride and joy, I really understand what great pet care means to us dog lovers and that’s why I’m so keen to look after your dogs! Boarding can be accepted but will need to be comfortable staying with my 10 year old, friendly cockapoo, Harley. We have a small garden but located right next to fields for regular exercise and walks! I have recently started at the University of Hull as MSc Physician Associate Student and have decided to come back to rover and with my spare time, I would love to fit dog walking and sitting around my university schedule! I have a flexible schedule so I can easily fit let care into my daily routine. However, university is my priority, please contact me about any dates and I can let you know if I can work the care you need around my timetable! I would come to visit pets in your home either just for a few hours to keep them company or for longer stays if you are going away! I’m also available for regular dog walking to fit both our schedules. I am a reliable and hard-working person with a passion for dogs and love their company, so unlikely to let you down! However, as I am a student and live in student accommodation, I am unable to have dogs board at my own home, so for longer stays, it would be essential I come to you, otherwise, I would not be suitable as your choice of sitter.
About: **I have hands-on experience with dogs, cats and other small pets through dog grooming, pet retail, animal welfare support, and personal pet ownership. I currently share my home with two friendly dogs and two cats, and I regularly care for friends' pets. I'm confident handling pets with a wide range of personalities and needs and I take a calm, patient approach to help them feel safe, comfortable, and secure.** **My experience includes helping to rehome animals, supporting local welfare initiatives, and working alongside a veterinary practice on animal welfare and community education projects. I'm DBS checked, trained in pet first aid through professional grooming courses, and committed to providing the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own pets.** **As a qualified dog groomer, I can also offer puppy introduction sessions, bath-and-tidy appointments, and full grooms during your dog's stay. Grooming sessions are tailored to each dog and carried out at a relaxed pace, with plenty of breaks and positive reinforcement to keep the experience as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.** **To provide the best experience for every guest, I only accept small dogs who are friendly with cats and comfortable in a home environment. My goal is to create a true home-from-home where dogs can relax, play, enjoy companionship, and feel part of the family while you're away. Whether your dog loves adventures, playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or simply a quiet place to unwind, they'll receive plenty of individual attention, affection, and care.** **I want every dog who stays with me to be excited to come back—a place where they can have fun, feel safe, and enjoy their own little holiday while you enjoy yours. We are lucky to have great walks on our doorstep and are frequent visitors of secure doggy parks nearby so no dogs will be bored here!** I work from home, so I'm here throughout the day. Pets staying with us become part of our daily life, rather than being left alone for long periods. Walks, playtime, cuddles, rest breaks, and any grooming appointments can be tailored around each dog’s individual needs and routine. I live with two small, friendly dogs and two cats in a home with secure, fenced front and back gardens, with a gate between them for flexibility. The house is at the end of a private driveway, with no streets directly outside, and fields nearby with plenty of wildlife to observe. I only accept small dogs who are comfortable around cats and enjoy a home environment. I want dogs staying with me to feel as though they’re on holiday rather than in kennels. I can quickly separate dogs if needed, keep pets separate for meals or rest time, and follow any routines or instructions owners provide. Having worked with many different animals, including nervous and rescue pets, I’m happy to go at their pace and help them settle in comfortably.

My puppy stayed with Harrison over night. She was well looked after, he catered for all her puppy needs and make sure she was comfortable looked after at all times. He asked about my preferences and listened to all my wishes and went over and above making sure she felt comfortable. I will use him regularly no doubt.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
