“We asked Meg to drop in and look after our two dogs, Oliver and Baxter, while we were out for the day, and she did a great job. She had great communication from the start and sent some lovely photos of the dogs playing and relaxing. Meg was professional and friendly. She picked up straight away on how much both of our dogs love a game of fetch and made sure they had a really fun and active visit. Meg genuinely understands and loves dogs – it was nice to know they were in such good hands. We would be very happy to ask Meg to help out again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful dog sitter.”

“Rosalind did a great job looking after our cat. We had updates and felt reassured that she was checking on her. Excellent communication! Would recommend”

About: I have a diploma in animal management and have worked with dogs officially for 5 years but i’ve been surrounded by them my whole life! I have certificate to prove too. I’m happy to work all 7 days as long as you let me know in advance! I work from home so I will be monitoring them constantly. I have a big back garden for the dogs to run wild all day, I have dogs myself so your dog will not get bored and I will send photos and videos too!

About: I've been taking care of family and friends dogs over the last few years whenever they go away on holidays or just need someone to nip and take them out for a walk. I've had my own dogs since the age of 14, I currently have 3 dogs, 2 springer spaniel x german pointers who are almost 1 and 4 and 14 year old toy poodle. I currently do work full time in a pub so my shifts vary each week. I do different shifts each week some day time and some late night mostly daytime though. I do currently live in a flat with my three dogs, they are all crate trained and friendly. There are many fields and places to go on long walks around here

About: I've studied animal management at college which I hold a HND (Higher National Diploma) qualification for. I did animal behaviour, training, welfare and ethics etc. I did work experience in a kennels, so I am used to dog walking, cleaning up after dogs, feeding etc.See the photos section of my profile for proof of my qualification. I work part time as a carer at my home for my brother. I can currently do Mondays for sure, Tuesday afternoons, and Friday afternoons. I'm currently learning to drive so once I pass my availability will increase further. We have fencing to keep our dogs in the garden. In someone else's home I'd keep windows shut, doors locked unless going out, and only walk your pets in areas you advise as safe for peace of mind.

“Natalie has done an amazing job of looking after my very shy cat Beans. Even getting cuddles on day 2! I would happily have Natalie back to look after my cats and fish again.”

“Fantastic service, sent loads of photos. Would definitely recommend and use again in the future”

About: Having grown up with family and friends’ animals, I have experience looking after a variety of dog breeds. Since being a child I have helped take care of friends and neighbours dogs both during the day and overnight. This includes feeding, walking or just letting them out to the toilet. My family have always had dogs and this is what started my passion for animals. Due to working 5 days a week I cannot have a dog of my own yet which is why I’d love to take care of yours. I have a secure fenced garden and live nearby lots of lovely green spaces where I love to walk and would take your dog. I can provide lots of pictures and updates throughout your dogs stay for peace of mind too. I currently work 5 days a week so my weekends are completely free to care for your pets and I can stay with them 24/7. I am free from 4pm on weekdays for drop ins and dog walking. I do occasionally get longer periods off work too where I would be available through the week to take care of your dog too. I have a secure fenced back garden with grass and no toxic plants. I also have good space inside the house that your dog can roam free. I have space for a crate too if needed.

“Great feedback about our cat. Thank you!”

About: I have had many years of caring for dogs, from friends’ loved pets to my own current little terrier. Caring for dogs comes natural to me and love building a rapport with the furry friends! My work is self employed with flexible working hours, therefore enabling me to give many hours to care and look after dogs each week. I have a car and can travel as required. I would always ensure dogs are kept safe on a lead (unless clients have said otherwise) and kept to safe enclosed areas, all whilst enabling them to enjoy themselves.

“Marie and her partner did an amazing job coming round our house and looking after our 3 cats whilst we were away on holiday. One of our cats is very skittish around new people and even she was comfortable around Marie which means a lot! Marie played with our cats every visit, emptied litter trays, made sure they were fed, and gave them lots of dreamies too! I could not recommend Marie enough!”

About: I joined rover for my love animals, what better job than one with fur babies. I have a gorgeous golden retriever who is now 2 and full of energy. I have a wide knowledge of small and large breed dogs, I can look after other household pets just not cats as my partner is allergic. I love to walk and explore different places your fur baby will never be bored spending time with me. I'm more than happy to take your pet for lots or adventures, my car is there space too. I'm not worried about mucky paws or dog hair that's the joys of having a fury friend in my eyes. I have a beautiful big fenced off garden that is secure at all times, and a pet friendly large home with which enables me to separate pets that are sometimes wary of other animals, I'm very lucky to have a spare set of hands at home so all animals in our care are extremely well supervised and cared for to ensure your pets safety at all times, I’m available at short notice and for short or long periods, my golden loves other dogs and is a big softie but in case your dog is nervous or dislikes other dogs he can also be separated from other animals he has lots of company around him at home. I'm happy to match with your feeding schedules and medication requests, I have looked after dogs that are at end of life and also dogs that have complex needs. My home is open to your pets for daycare, one of stays, overnights & holidays. I also provide care in your home if preferred for overnights or holidays. My dream is to one day own a dog barn and a rescue centre. Drop me a message and let's chat I'm easy to negotiate with and I'm very friendly. Longer stays and frequent visitors receive discounts. First aid trained. DBS checked Liability insurance in place I’m available all day, everyday I work for myself and my work can be done anywhere. I’m lucky to have a very flexible schedule. I can be on hand all day. I will always follow whatever the pets schedule, safety advice is from the owner. I would never deviate from strict instructions, I would always take dogs for a walk in secure places and ensure I am always watching and supervising.

“Very happy to recommend Sarah. She's done two drop-in visits for my dogs and sent photos of happy doggies during the visits. Will definitely book again. 🙂”

About: Hi, I’m Emma, new to Rover, but not new to dogs! I’ve always really liked being around dogs, and I’m now starting out as a sitter and walker to spend more time with them and learn more as I go. I’m reliable, calm, and happy to follow your usual routine so your dog feels settled and well looked after. I have a particular soft spot for labradors – I love how gentle and good-natured they are – but I get along well with all kinds of dogs. I don’t have formal training, but I’m observant and careful, and I take the responsibility seriously. I’ve owned dogs since I was 9 and am always the first to volunteer to look after my family and friends pets! If you’re looking for someone trustworthy and kind to care for your dog, I’d be glad to help. Feel free to get in touch if you’d like to talk or arrange a meet. I currently work full time, so would have availability usually after 5pm but will sometimes work late! Weekends are flexible, so I would be happy to accept requests at short notice. I have a car and clean driving licence, so travelling is not a problem. I will always make sure your pets safety and enjoyment is the top of my priorities during any walk or visit! I wouldn’t let them off lead unless requested, and am happy to use a log line so they can have plenty of space to run around.

About: From cats and dogs to rabbits and chicken, my whole life I’ve had pets. I frequently dog sit for family and friends for weeks at a time. I’m currently on a psychology masters for which all of my work is now done from home. So I’m very flexible Monday - Friday, less so at the weekends. I can take your dog on walks and do check ins. If you require specific requests, please let me know and I will see if I can accommodate.

About: I will choose a day with an animal over anything else. I have always had a special spot for them in my heart. In my ideal world, I adopt all the stray dogs and cats in the world. I currently work part time, mainly from home with a flexible routine which enables me to pet care. I have no children, or any other commitments, therefore I am able to be flexible. I live in a house with a nice gated garden with enough room to run and move around. When I’m at their house I take full safety precautions to look after the fur babies and keep them both safe and happy.

About: I have always had dogs in the house and enjoy having them around. I am confident in walking, training and bathing animals of all kinds. I am currently working part time so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets on weekdays, weekends and evenings. Please get in touch to discuss more! I’m an active person and love long walks in nature so your pet can get their exercise in with me! Similarly I love to curl up with a good book so plenty of chill time as well depending on your animal’s needs.

“Kim has looked after my frenchie, Ralph, quite a few times now. He has tonnes of fun when he’s with her and gets upset when he has to come home! Unfortunately he had IVDD when he was younger and he has a lot of food allergies but Kim listened to all my do’s and dont’s and made sure it was a safe environment for him. She goes out of her way to make sure the dogs she’s looking after have a memorable, positive experience and Ralph is looking forward to his next visit. I also got a lot of cute piccys of him as I do miss him when he’s away. Would absolutely recommend.”

“Emma is absolutely brilliant with my dogs, Oliver and Baxter. She’s looked after them regularly and it’s clear how much she genuinely loves dogs – she grew up with Labradors and it really shows in the way she interacts with mine. She looked after Oliver and Baxter in her home for a week back in February and I felt completely at ease the whole time. She sent regular updates, which I really appreciated, and it was obvious they were getting lots of cuddles and attention. My dogs adore her and are always excited to see her. I couldn’t recommend Emma more highly – she’s trustworthy, kind, and completely dog-mad (in the best way).”
