“Samantha is amazing with our dog Goose! He absolutely loves her taking him for walks and comes back so happy. She has been really great at understanding and managing his needs as he has some health issues to consider. She is always lovely, on time and provides an excellent service, I would highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Amber has taken both our dogs out this week. She has been able to manage both of them together which can be a handful and they are both grumpy. Thanks so much Amber will definitely book again!”

“I booked Elizabeth with only a few day's notice. Was gratefull that she was available. When she arrived she was smartly and practically dressed. I could see that she meant business when she arrived. Hiking boots walking gear backpack with waterproofs and all the things which she may need. She was prompt, polite and well-mannered. My dog Rani took to her. She asked if there were any particular routes or areas I would like her to walk my dog, If I had any toys balls treats etc that she may need etc A good sign when she returned from their walk was that my dog was tired. She is a very high-energy dog. I would highly recommend Elizabeth and would use her again in future if required. She exceeded my expectations of what I would recieve in every department. Thank You Elizabeth very much.”

“We are so happy with Georgia as our dog walker! She is incredibly sweet and caring with Rolo, and it shows in the way he reacts when she comes to pick him up – his tail is always wagging with excitement! Georgia always provides detailed Rover cards after each walk, keeping us informed about anything out of the ordinary, which we really appreciate. We’re thrilled with the care she provides and will definitely be asking her to walk Rolo again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Katie was wonderful with Cassie, really patient with a new medical problem that occurrred on Day 1. Cassie really enjoyed her walks and taking Katie on a new route every day. Cassie began to recognise Katie, and was clearly pleased to see her. I would definitely book Katie again for dog walking. Communication was brilliant.”

About: Patch (my first best friend) and I were born the same day, I haven't been without animal companions since. I grew up in a house that took in many rescue dogs of all breeds and histories, many with heartbreaking stories. I took great pride in giving them a better life and showing them they can trust again. It's not just dogs though; I have cared for cats, rats, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs and gerbils too. I have hand reared puppies and kittens that had lost their mothers, some of whom had rather serious health conditions (this includes both my current cats, one had potentially fatal kitten flu while the other had sustained a very serious eye injury). I have plenty of experience with disabled and elderly dogs, being receptive to their needs to keep them comfortable, happy and safe. Furthermore, I have and still do administer medication effectively, however this does not include injections. I find animal training to be hugely rewarding, it's truly one of my favourite things. I have taught my past dogs (even later in life) an astounding array of tricks, including jumping through hoops, nose balancing treats, leg weaving, bowing, somersaults and even singing (they weren't great at the last one). My two cats can sit, laydown, roll over, high five and beg (though only when they want to). Because of my experience, I am a great pick for dogs with behavioural and / or anxiety issues. I am calm, patient and understanding with all animals and able to pick up on their body language / facial and vocal signals and adjust my approach accordingly. I currently have full availability, I will update the moment that changes (I do bank shift work, all confirmed bookings will be honoured as I would rather do this). I often share sittings and walks with my partner, who is also on Rover and has many years of experience with animals. This is of course with prior agreement from owners. I will take your instructions and follow them precisely, you know your companion best. Honestly, the more info the better. I have always prided myself on being able to gain the trust of animals. As for owners, I have a recent enhanced DBS I am more than willing to show you.

About: Four years ago I got my dog Snoop who I’ve raised from 8 weeks old. Since then I’ve looked after lots of family and friends’ dogs so am used to looking after lots of different breeds. Before Snoop, I regularly took care of my family dog and again was heavily involved in his training from having him as a puppy. My own pup loves to socialise and we walk twice a day so your own pooch will get plenty of exercise with us. I work full time as a teacher so I would be available to look after your pup anytime from Friday night until Sunday night. I’m also available during school holidays. I have a fenced garden that is very dog secure. Believe me it has to be with my own escape artist! My dog has the run of the house and your dog would too if you are happy with this. Happy to discuss any further requirements.

About: From tiny pups with endless energy to big, lovable dogs with gentle hearts — I’ve cared for them all. Dog walking and sitting isn’t just a job to me; it’s something I truly enjoy. I’m calm, dependable, and dogs naturally feel comfortable around me. Friends, neighbours, and family have trusted me for years because they know their pets are safe, happy, and loved in my care. I treat every dog like they’re part of my own pack. Pet care fits perfectly into my lifestyle. I’ll be doing this full time alongside my daily fitness routine, so staying active with your dog is a natural part of my day. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or relaxed company at home, I’ve got the time, energy, and love to give. Your dog’s safety and comfort always come first. I provide a calm, secure environment with plenty of love, space, and attention. Whether I’m in your home or mine, I stick to your dog’s routine and needs. I’m happy to crate if needed, and I’m mindful of how each dog adjusts. My goal is to make them feel relaxed, safe, and at home, whether they’re here for a walk, a day, or a full stay.

About: *there is no pet in our house! Momo continues to live with Jerry’s parents when Jerry moves to the UK! I have a cute little cat named momo and have taken care of her for 9 years, covering the span from a small kitten to a senior cat. I am pretty good at taking care of a cat’s basic need and know how to respect them and give them spaces. Additionally, I also have a loving girlfriend who is caring to animals! She had experience taking care of dogs and will like to work with me as a team to take care of your dog! If you have a small dog, no problem! Jess had an experience taking care of dogs for over 10 years! It was a lovely Shih Tzu dog and she will care for your dog equally! Currently working full-time so will likely to be available during the weekends and weekdays after four. Of course every pet has their habits so I can be flexible. My girlfriend works from home so she can also be a big helper to take care of them. I have a decent size apartment with a guest bedroom, your furry child can have its own space or stay close to people depending on their personalities.

About: I (Tom) have recently moved to Derby from Staffordshire for work and miss my three dogs greatly. Ever since I was a baby I have grown up with cats, dogs, rabbits and gerbils so it was hard to leave all that behind when moving away. Currently, I am not prepared to have my own dog - financially speaking, so I figured this would be a great way to meet some new animals and their owners. I am very active, running up to 5 times per week and regularly taking long walks. I particularly enjoy visiting the national trust sites local to Derby. I work full time but work from home a minimum of 3 days per week and am free most weekends. My girlfriend, Eloise also lives with me part time and loves animals - so she will care for your pets should I be called into the office! I go for a walk every morning, every lunch time and every evening already so I plan that I will just take your pets along with me. Ordinarily, in the morning and lunch time I will visit the parks local to me and then in the evening I will venture further afield, often going to Darley park, Markeaton park, Calke Abbey and Kedleston hall as I am a national trust member. I am used to caring for animals with regards to feeding routines and am usually up around 5:30am until 10pm so can cater to any specific schedules. I absolutely love animals and will give them lots of fuss and affection. I will provide daily updates and photos so that you can keep up with how they are doing whilst you enjoy your well deserved time off! I will also bathe them free of charge should they get muddy or wet on any of our walks and provide lots of free treats

Amber C.
“Amber is an extremely and responsible pet caregiver. She demonstrates this by not only caring for her own dogs, Robbie and Bella, also my own dogs. I have 4 Labradors and she treats them like her own and they’re all always really happy to see her. Amber has looked after them on multiple occasions and they’re always well cared for. They’re always fed on time and she goes above and beyond to take them on nice walks and making sure they’re happy. Additionally, she is training to be a vet nurse which shows she really cares for animals. As part of her training she has to undertake work experience, she looked after the sick animals and made sure they were never on their own.”

Steven W.Star Sitter
“Steve and Sheryl are a fantastic couple, i trust them with my dogs and its hard to trust anyone, I had my dogs 6 year and never let anyone look after them but after I saw them with them I got my freedom back, for holidays abroad.”

Ryan James V.
“I have known Ryan James for nearly 10, We hit it off and became friends almost straight away after meeting at our local pub. We also discovered very early that he and his partner were animal lovers and after calling in for a coffee after the pub on night, met there adorable cat Twist, It turned out that twist had not had the best start in life, but he and his partner, had bottle fed her from an early age and turned her into a wonderful loving cat, we saw this care again when Ryan and his partner were given a very sickly kitten which had been orphaned. We thought that this little ball of fluff would not last the night, but Ryan and his partner, took it in turns to sit with her, for many weeks and she survived and is now Twist`s best friend, called Shadow. By now Ryan had become a really good friend, and he and his partner said they would look after our pair of cats, while on holiday, Our cats had a brilliant time, Because, Ryan was a neighbour, I think they spent more time than need to make sure that our cats were ok, as they were firm friends with Ryan and his partner when we returned, which was great to see, as they always came home in a bad mood from the cattery, because we had left them somewhere strange. Even now we have moved our cats are still very affectionate with Ryan and his partner. Like most cat owners, i am a bit over protective of our cats, and would never leave them anywhere that did not feel right, having owned cats for over forty years you can tell when they trust someone, I think Ryan will be Excellent as a Pet Caregiver, He is such a gentle soul and now someone I consider a true friend.”

Holly J.
“Holly has looked after my dogs for 15 years. During that time she has proved herself to be a responsible and caring dog sitter who is able to cope well with the needs of young and elderly dogs and provides a safe and secure home for them. I have no hesitation in recommending her as a dog sitter.”

Lilly B.
“My friend Lilly occasionally looks after my mini, crazy dachshund. Everytime she walks him, he comes back the most energetic and happy as ever, I would describe her as a trustworthy and relaxed dog walker who deals with problems calmly and efficiently.”

Daniel Luke H.

“Daniel was great with Rosie, she took to him right away ☺️ good communications and a nice photo report of the walk afterwards too!”

Naomi G.Star Sitter

“Naomi is a gentle, caring and loving soul. Maya loved being in her company, and really enjoyed their walkies together. Maya is looking forward to seeing you again on Sunday for a sleepover! Thank you so much Naomi! ☺️xx”

Gemma M.
“I have known Gemma for nearly 20 years and whenever we are away looks after our dog and rabbits for us. They love her and her son. She takes excellent care of them and goes the extra mile to spend time with them and play with them.”
