About: I have always had a pet dog growing up, and owned a Patterdale Terrier called Esme, who very sadly passed away in April 2019 at the grand old age of 16 (we miss her dearly). We had her for 11 years and she was very much a beloved member of our family. She absolutely loved affection and walks and we enjoyed socialising her with our families pets. My son lives with me half of the week and his dad the other half of the week, so pls bear this in mind when requesting a booking and ensure that your dog is good with kids. I always recommend a meet and greet before a request is placed, preferably somewhere neutral. We also own a guinea pig who is housed indoors. Since mid April 2021 we started fostering and have since adopted a gorgeous Staffie called Roxy from Cardiff Dogs Home. She is an absolute dream with such a lovely temperament, and is excellent with kids and friendly with other dogs. Please also bear this in mind when requesting a booking. I work from home two days a week and am in the office two days a week (Fridays are my non working day). I am situated close to Roath Park and Waterloo Gardens. We also like to visit parks further afield and beaches, and will occasionally get out and about in the car on weekends. Any dog under our care will be treated as if they were our own! We love animals in this household and can guarantee your beloved pooch will go home very happy :-) As I work part time and half the time at home, I’ll be able to ensure your dog is well looked after and given all of the exercise and love they need. We usually walk Roxy either twice a day if they’re shorter walks, or one longer walk. I always ensure dogs are kept on the lead at all times when getting ready to leave the house for walks. Due to a separation, I’ve recently moved to an apartment but there is a large green area at the front of the property which my dog regularly frequents for walks and to do her business.

“Mark has once again been wonderful with Bella this week. He always ensures her needs are met and goes above and beyond to keep me informed and secure in the knowledge she is in good hands. Thank you so much.”

“Really Impressed with Ross. He was really attemptive towards my dog’s needs, Ziggy can be a bit of a challenge on walks, but Ross was confident and actually got her to listen to him and follow his commands. I will deffo be using Ross again!”

“Ella has been amazing with helping walk my dog after I had surgery and couldn’t do it myself. Lotus is usually quite shy with new people but took to her immediately. She has always come home happy and gets excited just seeing Ella arrive from the window!”

About: I have cared for dogs for a number of years and have been responsible for feeding, cleaning and exercising friends and family’s pets while they’ve been away on holiday. I am trustworthy with both owners and pets I am currently in my final year of university, so would be free in the evenings and weekends. With more notice I can be available for longer periods if needed I can easily create a safe space for pets in their own environment and when out and about. Utilising their home comforts is essential in creating a safe space for them when faced with new people and anxiety

“Macsen had a fab walk with Sophie! She was brilliant with him and will be rebooking for sure. He’s been conked out all day. Defo recommend for anyone looking for someone trustworthy in Cardiff. Thanks again!”

About: All my life I’ve grown up with animals I’ve had 3 dogs 3 cats 2 gerbils and way too many fish to count!!!☺️ for the last 15 or so years of my life I’ve helped look after feed and walk my dogs from puppies and into their senior years and jump at the opportunity to look after my friends and families pets!!! I adore animals and I can’t wait to look after and provide the best care for your little fur babies❤️ I’m currently off work so im available to look after and play with your pets as long or as frequently as needed!!☺️ but when I do go back to work which isn’t set in stone yet I’ll be available as of evenings and weekends but im hoping to change that completely if things go the right way☺️ I have a fenced garden with 2 dogs and a cat already to keep your pet company and if your pet doesn’t get along with others I’ll be more than happy to stay at your house with your fur baby otherwise I have my own separate bedroom that I can shut the other dogs from gaining access too and I also have a crate so if they’re happy and feel safe with the crate I can use that for safety or simply any other instructions you provide on the safety of your fur baby I can do because they’re more than just pets to me they’re a part of our families

“Lauren made sure that Maldwyn was looked after and allowed his comfort break in the garden. The original plan was for a walk however given the weather that day I suggested to drop in on him instead and make sure his needs were met and he was comfortable before leaving him. Can't ask for better.”

About: ✨Passionate and Experienced: I’ve always had a deep love for animals. I spent a lot of time caring for my grandfather’s two dogs, feeding them and making sure they were happy and healthy. During my time working at a private café, I also helped my boss care for two dogs and three cats, handling their daily meals, activities, and walks. This hands-on experience has taught me so much about animal care. I’ve even looked after some stray dogs near my home, offering them comfort and companionship. These experiences have made me realize that each pet has its own unique personality and needs, and my goal is always to make them feel safe and happy. ✨Natural Affinity: Animals of all kinds have always come naturally to me—not just dogs and cats, but also rabbits, ducklings , hamsters, turtles, and so on.I treat them as true friends and companions, with patience and genuine care. ✨Patient and Genuine: One of my most memorable experiences was with a Corgi named Puff, whom I cared for regularly. His owner, concerned he might run off but unable to find the time to care for him properly, had kept him tied up in the backyard, which made him quite restless. I took him out to the park every day, bought him toys, and taught him how to play. Over time, he became much more cheerful and confident, even initiating interactions on his own. Seeing Puff’s transformation was truly rewarding. ✨Attentive and Responsible: Before caring for different breeds, I make a point of researching their specific needs, from diet and exercise to health considerations, so I can give them the best possible care. For example, I know that smaller dogs need extra warmth in winter, while larger dogs benefit from ample exercise space. I believe every animal is unique, and I strive to cater to their individual needs. ✨Energetic and Dedicated: I have plenty of energy and rarely get tired, so I can keep up with energetic dogs during playtime or walks, ensuring they get enough exercise and enjoyment. 🫡Reassurance: When caring for pets, I will keep owners updated with regular photos and short videos if they need , so they can feel connected to their pets even while away. For me, this is more than just a job—it’s a joyful journey of building a meaningful bond with each little life I care for! 🥹❤️ ⏰ Right now, I don’t have any other work commitments, so my schedule is very open and flexible. I’m usually available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day to care for pets. So I can easily adjust to each pet’s routine, giving them the attention they need at the times that suit them best 🐶 Currently, I’m focused on offering dog walking and pet care in the owner’s home. For Dog Walking 🌳🦮 I will tailor outing based on the dog’s age, energy level, and personality, choosing safe, pet-friendly spots like local parks or green spaces. For younger or less active dogs, I opt for shorter, slower-paced routes, while more energetic dogs get longer walks to help them burn off energy. For Drop-In Visits 🏠🐕🐱 I‘ll make sure to follow the owner’s advice to keep the pet’s usual routine—whether it’s feeding, playtime, or rest. For pets with special needs, like puppies, senior dogs, or those with health concerns, I can adjust the activities according to the owner’s guidance to make sure they’re comfortable and safe. 📲I also keep in touch with owners regularly, sending photos or short videos after each visit so they can feel connected and know their pet is doing well 🐶😸

“Easy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand. Came on time to pick him up. Made sure Maldwyn had a good walk and then put his food down for him after getting him back home. Thank you so much 😊”

About: As a dog owner myself, I understand the importance of regular exercise and mental stimulation for our dogs. With my lovable cockapoo Hugo by my side, I'm always eager to hit the trails and explore new places. With years of experience caring for dogs, including previous pets, I'm confident in providing fun and safe dog walking adventures for your pup. Let's get walking! I have a very flexible schedule at the moment so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pet including evening and weekends I am available for dog sitting, walking and visits in/from your home. Unfortunately I do not have the space to be able to offer dog boarding services from my own home.

About: I've taken care of my Uncles dog (working cocker spaniel) on many occasions so I hope to apply the skills I've learnt to your dogs needs! I have owned a cat for 4 years so I'm highly responsible, authentically caring and loyal! I absolutely adore dogs so I'm hoping you'll allow me to prove that I will cherish yours by picking me to have a chat! Happy to answer any questions :) I'm very flexible to be honest! I'm new to this platform so, if I have at least 2 days warning, I should be able to accommodate any requests! Hoping to build up my clientelle and then secure regular sits for families that I build a genuinely healthy rapport with... until then - I'm open to requests! I'd have to get permission from my house mates if I ever boarded your pet so, if I'm honest, I'm hoping to mostly come to you! I will keep them well fed, loved and balanced :)

“Lydia has always been great with Frankie, listens to requests and makes sure Frankie is well looked after on her stays or walks. Would highly recommend Lydia to anyone looking for a dog sitter/walker!”
