“We had to go out of town for our daughter's wedding and did not have to worry at all about our fur babies. They were all well loved and taken care of. She even did some house cleaning that I did not request or expect! I could not be happier with our experience with her.”

“My Loki Bear caught a cold right before I was headed out of town. I was fortunate enough to find the Grossman’s to come and house sit with Loki. They were so nice and thoughtful and loved looking after Loki. And Loki enjoyed their company. They gave him his medicine on time and on schedule. He is feeling much better now that he got to stay home and rest up. I am definitely going to be using them to watch Loki again and again.”

“Yet again, Lauren took great care of my pup: I had to be gone an extended time : almost of a full month, and Lauren did everything I asked, took care of my house and gave River all the love and attention. So grateful💚”

“From Jake and Kristina, Sarah was truly amazing!! She did way more than we expected! She's great with communicating which made being away so much easier! She also took the most beautiful photos of our pup whether he was outside, in the house or even on walks. She even help recommend some yummy treats for our picky eater! Words cannot express the love we have for her in the short time of her servicing us❤️ We highly recommend Sarah!! Thank you Sarah for taking such great care of Brownie!! You are truly a heaven sent!💖”

“Julie was excellent! Our girl Moxie suffers from separation anxiety and Julie knew how to support her while we were gone. In addition, our house was so clean you wouldn’t have known anyone else had been there. Thank you, Julie!”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was born. I was raised with a dog trainer as a mother, and that’s how I ended up being an animal lover. I have a Bachelors in Equine Studies, and had horses until I moved to South Carolina. I am a dog groomer full time and have five fur babies of my own at home. Dogs are pretty much my whole life and I love to take care of them any age, training or special needs they may have. My husband is allergic to cats so I can’t have any home but would love to get my fill helping take care of yours! I do work full time but can be as flexible as possible for your fur kids needs! I can always do early morning pop ins or walks as well as evening/night times! Just let me know what you need and I can try to help make it work! At the moment I don’t do overnights but may be available to in my home boarding in the future! I can do whatever your pet needs! If your pup needs to walk alone and can be reactive I have plenty on experience with it. If you have an energetic pup I have one of my own if they get along can tire each other right out(if they get along of course). I also have access to a fenced in area if your pup is good off leash to take them too. I will do whatever you fur kid needs to the best of my abilities and what you want!

“Abriana agreed to watch our dogs super last minute when another sitter cancelled on us. The day I reached out, she came to meet them, and stayed in our house the following day. She saved our trip! My dogs loved her and the house looked better than we left it. Would highly recommend her! Will definitely be reaching out again when we need someone to watch our dogs.”

“Anais was such a great sitter for our Doberman pinscher! We had her boarded in our home. She came and did such a great job with her. In all the pictures Mazikeen showed her playful and sassy self and was so happy to see Anais. She went over and beyond when in our home and did things that exceeded our expectations. We will definitely use her again and highly recommend her for anyone looking for someone to care for your pets! Thank you Anais! You are always welcome in our home with our fur baby 💕”

“Great review. Jennifer took care of our fur baby while we were out of the country. She was prompt and took great care of not only the pup but our home. Everything was nice and neat when we got home which was much appreciated.”

About: I grew up working at a barn since I was about 8. I was a stable hand that was always around looking for work. Lots of members would have me watch their dogs and cats when they would go away. I’ve done overnights and periodic walks throughout the day, even times where I would go and hang out to keep their pets company while their owners were away. I understand the stress of not being able to take your pet with you and I can guarantee that I will always keep you updated and make them feel just as loved and taken care of, because that’s what I would want for my puppy! Currently I am not employed so I have plenty of time to walk and play with your furry friends! I am very flexible and love spending time with animals:) I am a very confident handler. I do have my own dog that I could bring for play dates if it is requested, depending on the dogs needs! Otherwise, I am always very considerate of their home and understand that I am a guest. I do my best to earn and gain any animals trust.
About: I am very familiar and good with puppies, training and making sure your fur babies are very loved 🥰 I have several neighbors that depend on me for pet help and would love to make your fur baby part of our puppy family. I have plants of time to play and care for your pets. I believe all pets need as much attention and love they can get. I am open to your preference of dog care to make sure your dog is taken care the best they can be. I am available weekends and week days. I would love to care for your pets anytime. I have a fenced in yard for lots of outdoor play, plenty of toys if they are toy lovers. I can offer crated or none crated pets.
“Aaron was wonderful and truly loved spending time with Gracie and Roxie! Aaron sent pictures and updates daily, which was greatly appreciated! He let me know that Roxie took a little bit of time to warm up but then was herself with being a big snuggler, and that Gracie did great on her walks. Last time we had made this trip we had an 8 hour delay, and asked Aaron ahead of time if something like this happened again could he stay, and he said he could. Luckily all went well and we were able to arrive home on time to two very happy and very well cared for pups! Will definitely use Aaron again!!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a small kid and love all animals. Will make sure they are happy but also most importantly make sure they are safe! I have dog sat for all my friends and family’s pets for years. I enjoy it. I just moved here and have been looking for a job I can make my own schedule so I feel like this will be perfect for me while I get used to the new area. Make sure they have plenty of playtime but also time to relax. And NO accidents inside. I am a clean freak so I always want to make sure everything is exactly where it needs to be before I leave and when I get back somewhere

Carol and Jim came to meet Bora and me before actually sitting for Bora. That made me feel so much more comfortable knowing they cared enough to let Bora know them but for me too! Jim was very excited to help. He arrived on time. He sent pictures and updates. We will definitely be asking them to sit for us always!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Tuckertown walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Tuckertown maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tuckertown choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
