Safety, trust & environment

We are unable to care for pets in our home due to community HOA restrictions. But we would love to take care of your fur babies in their own comfortable surroundings!

Information Carol & Jim G. would like to know about your pet

We would need to know of any separation anxiety concerns, and medications, both oral and injections. And if the dogs are hesitant, defensive or difficult to lease.

A typical day

Daily visits would include walks, play time in the yard, plenty of interacting and belly rubs! Treats, of course, if allowed. As retirees, we can either stay with your pets overnight or make four visits per day (at around 7:00am, Noon, 5:00pm and 9:30pm, for example). If we are staying overnight, we would leave after the morning feeding/walks and return at Noon and 5:00pm for dinner before coming back at around 9:30 and staying the night. This is dependent on the owner's requirements.

Pet care experience

We have been Volunteers (Beagle Freedom Project, Midwest BREW and New Mexico Beagle Rescue) and Pet Sitters for over 14 years and LOVE all animals. With several Rescued Beagles of our own, we enjoy meeting and caring for any and all breeds of dogs and cats, etc. Carol has worked for an Animal Hospital and can administer injections when necessary.

Carol and Jim came to meet Bora and me before actually sitting for Bora. That made me feel so much more comfortable knowing they cared enough to let Bora know them but for me too! Jim was very excited to help. He arrived on time. He sent pictures and updates. We will definitely be asking them to sit for us always!

My Loki Bear caught a cold right before I was headed out of town. I was fortunate enough to find the Grossman’s to come and house sit with Loki. They were so nice and thoughtful and loved looking after Loki. And Loki enjoyed their company. They gave him his medicine on time and on schedule. He is feeling much better now that he got to stay home and rest up. I am definitely going to be using them to watch Loki again and again.

Recommendation for Carol Grossman. I am pleased to provide this recommendation for Carol Grossman. Carol worked at Sun Ranch Pet Hospital for six years as our Kennel Supervisor, where she consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication, reliability, and compassion in the care of animals. Throughout her employment, she proved herself to be a highly dependable team member who could always be counted on to handle her responsibilities thoroughly and professionally. Carol has a genuine love for animals and a natural ability to connect with them. Whether caring for healthy pets, senior animals, or those requiring special attention, she treated every animal as if it were her own. Her attention to detail was outstanding, and I always trusted her to notice subtle changes in an animal’s behavior, appetite, or comfort level and respond appropriately. In addition to her work at our hospital, Carol provided pet-sitting services for elderly members of her community. Her clients valued not only her excellent animal care skills but also her kindness, trustworthiness, and commitment to ensuring both pets and owners felt comfortable and secure. Carol is a true animal person whose compassion extends beyond simply meeting an animal’s basic needs. She understands the importance of routine, safety, and individualized care, and she approaches every responsibility with professionalism and genuine concern for the well-being of the pets entrusted to her. I recommend Carol without reservation for pet-sitting services through Rover or any other animal care position. Pet owners can feel confident that their animals will receive attentive, loving, and dependable care while in her hands. Sincerely, Rikia Park DVM Sun Ranch Pet Hospital
