“Yet again, Lauren took great care of my pup: I had to be gone an extended time : almost of a full month, and Lauren did everything I asked, took care of my house and gave River all the love and attention. So grateful💚”

“Julie did a wonderful job watching our pups while we were away for our wedding! She made sure they were well taken care of and kept us updated on how they were doing. It was great to know our boys were in good hands:)”

“Julie was excellent! Our girl Moxie suffers from separation anxiety and Julie knew how to support her while we were gone. In addition, our house was so clean you wouldn’t have known anyone else had been there. Thank you, Julie!”

“Abriana agreed to watch our dogs super last minute when another sitter cancelled on us. The day I reached out, she came to meet them, and stayed in our house the following day. She saved our trip! My dogs loved her and the house looked better than we left it. Would highly recommend her! Will definitely be reaching out again when we need someone to watch our dogs.”

“Another amazing visit with Jennifer!! Our dogs love when Jennifer comes to stay with them. I can always tell how happy they are in the pictures she sends. I’m so happy to have found someone who loves my dogs and I know I can relax while away from home.”

“Isis was nothing short of wonderful! She took such great care of both of our animals and sent photo updates about what they got up to! I couldn't recommend her enough, and will definitely have her back the next time we go out of town!”

“Addison did a great job. When we got home from our trip Nala & Heidi seemed very happy and tail wagging dogs. Thank you for keeping our dogs happy and comfortable while we were away”

“Tristan did an amazing job caring for our four pups! It was clear they were happy, relaxed, and well cared for while we were away. He kept us updated with plenty of photos and thoughtful stories about our fur babies, which gave us so much peace of mind and made us feel connected to them the entire time. We returned to a clean home and four very happy dogs. We would gladly trust Tristan with our pups again!”

“Aaron was wonderful and truly loved spending time with Gracie and Roxie! Aaron sent pictures and updates daily, which was greatly appreciated! He let me know that Roxie took a little bit of time to warm up but then was herself with being a big snuggler, and that Gracie did great on her walks. Last time we had made this trip we had an 8 hour delay, and asked Aaron ahead of time if something like this happened again could he stay, and he said he could. Luckily all went well and we were able to arrive home on time to two very happy and very well cared for pups! Will definitely use Aaron again!!”

“Ashlyn was great!! Had to go out of town for my nieces wedding and did not have to worry about all of my fur babies being well loved and cared for. She kept me updated the entire time.”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a small kid and love all animals. Will make sure they are happy but also most importantly make sure they are safe! I have dog sat for all my friends and family’s pets for years. I enjoy it. I just moved here and have been looking for a job I can make my own schedule so I feel like this will be perfect for me while I get used to the new area. Make sure they have plenty of playtime but also time to relax. And NO accidents inside. I am a clean freak so I always want to make sure everything is exactly where it needs to be before I leave and when I get back somewhere
“First time Rover user🙋🏼♀️ We have had a great experience with Abigail!! We left instructions / information for her and she did well with our routine and sent us lots of photos of our Swissy:) We will definitely be booking Abigail each time we go out of town! 💕”

“Mckenna has stayed over our home to watch our Bugsy twice. She is respectful, reliable, and responsible. Both visits, McKenna had to give medication and follow her feeding schedule. Bugsy is an anxious dog, and Mckenna understood the unique needs of Bugsy. She took Bugsy on walks (who is not good on leash) when she could. We had meet and greet before both stays, and Bugsy really liked playing with her! We highly recommend her for any sitting needs!”

About: *PLEASE READ* Transparency is important to me, so I want pet parents to know I work full-time in Mount Pleasant during the weekdays (7:30 AM–4:00 PM). This schedule works best for pets comfortable during the workday, and I’m fully available for evenings, nights, and weekends.. Communication is very important to me — I provide regular updates, photos, and check-ins so you always know your pet is safe and cared for. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel completely comfortable and confident while they’re apart. About: I’ve been surrounded by various dog breeds and ages my entire life and learned to love senior dogs as my childhood dog grew older. I have experience with infant puppies to the late stages in life. I love to spend time with other people’s dogs because I 1) enjoy helping other people out but 2) can’t have a dog of my own right now and need somewhere to give all my love!!! I see clients throughout the week at various times, usually virtually, so my availability is pretty open! Fridays work a little differently, but I will also make sure to update you on that! I am free for check-ins, but also LOVE sitting at home with the dogs when I can - especially since I can use remote platforms! I will mostly stay overnight for people in their homes and take care of their dogs + give lots of snuggles while families are on vacation. I will feed the dogs, give them medications if needed, make sure water is kept clean and full, play in the yard (if available), take on walks, snuggles, etc :)
“Jeanette (Donna) took great care of our pup. She regularly checked in with photos. Jeanette (Donna) confirmed start time the day before and verified we were returning as planned. Our pup was in great hands with Jeanette”

About: I've spent years caring for animals with a variety of personalities, ages, and needs. Living with a Great Dane has made me very comfortable handling large and giant breeds, and caring for my Labrador through her 17th year gave me plenty of experience with the extra patience and attention senior dogs need. I'm also experienced in administering insulin injections and following medication schedules for pets with medical needs. No matter your animal’s age, size, or routine, I'll make sure they receive attentive, compassionate care and feel right at home while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I have a flexible schedule that allows me to make time for the pets in my care. I typically finish work by 3 PM, and I also have two days each week where I work from home, giving me extra availability and flexibility throughout the day. When needed, I can also use my lunch break to check in on your pets and make sure they’re doing well. I’m available for evening and weekend care as well, allowing me to provide consistent attention, companionship, and support for your pet’s daily routine. I provide pet care in my client’s home, where I can help pets feel comfortable by keeping their familiar routines and surroundings. I understand that every pet has their own needs, so I focus on providing attentive, reliable care that includes feeding, playtime, walks, medication needs, and plenty of companionship. Emilee was so great with our 2 dogs! She sent us pictures and updates throughout our trip. Our dogs are very different ages and energy levels but she was able to manage both of their needs so well. She also left our house spotless! Will definitely call her the next time we go out of town!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,633 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wampee. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wampee walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wampee maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wampee choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wampee. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
