“Lauren was WONDERFUL with River: she was easy to communicate with and sent me updates every time she stopped by. She even vacuumed my house while I was away. Great and sweet human being: I would use her again!! I always felt comfortable knowing she was reliable and quick to respond.”

“Aby was so amazing to our dog when we went out of town for a long weekend. He required daily medication after a last minute emergency vet visit, and she went above and beyond to keep him comfortable as well as keeping me informed. Aby took great care of the house and was so respectful. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived back at home. She followed all instructions to a T, and sent photos and messages frequently! Will definitely be a repeat client of hers, and you should be too!”

“Rebecca did an amazing job caring for our home, our three dogs, and our three cats! We will definitely call on her again! I highly recommend her for all your pet care needs!”

“Sara, you are an absolute gem!!! Thank you and your beautiful daughter for taking such good care of our babies and home! The regular communication and pictures was wonderful and put us at ease while we traveled to Montana. 5 stars simply enough!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Bria did an excellent job babysitting our pups. She sent pictures, was great with communication through the app and made us feel at ease while we were away that our dogs were in good hands. Will be reaching out to her again for sure when we need another dog sitter”

“Aaron was wonderful and truly loved spending time with Gracie and Roxie! Aaron sent pictures and updates daily, which was greatly appreciated! He let me know that Roxie took a little bit of time to warm up but then was herself with being a big snuggler, and that Gracie did great on her walks. Last time we had made this trip we had an 8 hour delay, and asked Aaron ahead of time if something like this happened again could he stay, and he said he could. Luckily all went well and we were able to arrive home on time to two very happy and very well cared for pups! Will definitely use Aaron again!!”

“I can not say enough about how awesome Julie was! She kept my pups busy while we were away and we even came home to a clean house. She updated me frequently on how they were doing. I will definitely be having Julie back to watch my pups soon!”

About: I love animals. I’ve owned several dogs and cats throughout my life. I’ve also sitted with both dogs and cats for friends and family. I’ve also cared for kittens and puppies. I work full time from home as a corporate event manager. Pet sitting in your home is a perfect set-up. I bring my work with me and have the flexibility to take breaks to care for and play with your pet as needed. I am not able to care for pets in my apartment at this time so would need to care for your pets in your home. I am accustomed to handling pets needs from feeding to playing to exercise and whatever specific needs they may have.

About: I have always had a genuine passion for helping others! As a reliable, patient, and friendly sitter, you can trust that your fur baby will be in great hands! I have a cat of my own but I am also a dog lover, big & small! I’m currently a college student and working part time but my schedule is still fairly open! I am even available on weekends, early mornings, and late nights. I take pride in respecting my client’s home and privacy while caring for their pets! My goal is to give you a peace of mind knowing your pet and your home are in trustworthy hands.
“Mckenna is nothing short of outstanding. She was in contact numerous times a day with pictures and updates on how my Mick Jagger Kitty was doing. She even helped out with the house, including taking care of clearing off the porch & putting things back when our HOA had an unfortunately timed power washing service coming through while I was away. She truly went above and beyond, and I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing that she had the house, and Mick’s needs under control. I will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Tianna house sat for us and cared for our two dogs, two cats, and hamster for five days. Came home to happy/healthy pets and a clean house. Tianna was also very responsive to all messages.”

“Isis was extremely patient with our temperamental dogs. When one would not tolerate his harness being put on by a "stranger," she problem solved and used his collar while also communicating to us what was happening. She would send photo updates every day to show how the dogs' comfort levels improved. To top it off, we came home to a house that was cleaner than we left it!. Isis is amazing and wonderful!!!”

“Jennifer is wonderful! We have 2 large dogs and one can be reactive when walking. Jennifer handles her well and has had no issues. She does a great job of keeping us updated daily and sends pictures.”
About: What sets me apart from other sitters are my hands on experiences. I have grown up looking after my three dogs. While one of my parents lived on a farm so I had to take on the responsibilities of that as well. Pet care fits into my daily and weekly routine because I am a full time student at Charleston Southern and taking care of your furry friends is the perfect addition! I am a very genuine and loving person. I will make sure your pet has everything it needs and more. I will make sure that they feel safe and taken care of.

“Friendly, responsive, responsible, and very good with our energetic fur kiddos!! Took 45 minutes out of his day to drive to us for a last minute meet-and-greet and was so kind and genuine! Very trustworthy and accommodating. Will definitely re-book once we next need help!”

“First time using Rover and she was amazing! Super communicative, sent updates/pictures, and took such good care of my pup. Definitely made me feel comfortable leaving him and I’d 100% book with her again!”

“Highly, highly recommend Megan! Megan cared for our dog, like he was her own for the last week. She sent tons of pictures along the way, so we could see he was happy! She took him on adventures (which we said was great to do), walks, and lots of cuddles. She also helped with a shipment of frozen dog food that was supposed to arrive before we left. Our dog was sad to see her leave. We’ll definitely use Megan again!”

“Raven came over ahead of time to meet my pets. My dog is “odd” when meeting new people, but Raven handled it super well! We had Raven stay over night (2 nights) and could not ask for a better sitter! She was attentive and loving. We received several photos and updates! We highly recommend her!”

All of us pet owners that truly love our pets know the actual value of having someone you trust around your little guys. I trusted her with my dogs, and I trusted her in my house and felt so completely relaxed when I was away because of it and that really is priceless. Alicia did absolutely amazing with our two dogs. She sent daily updates and quick to respond back. Our two girls were happy being home with her and she was totally content with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you Alicia for taking care of them (:

FAQs for House Sitting - Cherry Hill
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 1,626 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cherry Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cherry Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cherry Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cherry Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cherry Hill. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
