“Lauren was WONDERFUL with River: she was easy to communicate with and sent me updates every time she stopped by. She even vacuumed my house while I was away. Great and sweet human being: I would use her again!! I always felt comfortable knowing she was reliable and quick to respond.”

“Our dogs loved Rebecca the moment she walked in for the meet and greet. I'm so glad we were able to book her for our weekend away! We will definitely be using Rebecca again in the future.”

“Megan was amazing! She kept us in the loop with daily photos and updates and our pup Revan loved her! Would recommend Megan to anyone looking for an incredible sitter in the Mount Pleasant area.”

“Oh my goodness, our family has been blessed to have found Julie! She took such excellent care of our 2 pups: Walking them early before it got too hot, keeping on our schedule and being home for the majority of the day. My youngest pup is timid with new people and is deaf. But somehow Julie won her over as seen in pictures of them cozy together: ) Julie communicated with updates, pictures and questions. In addition to all of this, Julie watered my plants and left my home in the same condition that I left it. That made returning home after 8 days away so much easier. Thank you for everything Julie!”

“Friendly, responsive, responsible, and very good with our energetic fur kiddos!! Took 45 minutes out of his day to drive to us for a last minute meet-and-greet and was so kind and genuine! Very trustworthy and accommodating. Will definitely re-book once we next need help!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a small kid and love all animals. Will make sure they are happy but also most importantly make sure they are safe! I have dog sat for all my friends and family’s pets for years. I enjoy it. I just moved here and have been looking for a job I can make my own schedule so I feel like this will be perfect for me while I get used to the new area. Make sure they have plenty of playtime but also time to relax. And NO accidents inside. I am a clean freak so I always want to make sure everything is exactly where it needs to be before I leave and when I get back somewhere
“Isis, as per usual, was fantastic while we were away! We got daily updates on both of our pets, and tons of pictures & videos. Both of our pets absolutely love her! She even helped us with bringing in a few unexpected packages we had arive while we were away. Isis is our go-to whenever we go away, and we truly appreciate her so much!”

“Julie was excellent! Our girl Moxie suffers from separation anxiety and Julie knew how to support her while we were gone. In addition, our house was so clean you wouldn’t have known anyone else had been there. Thank you, Julie!”

“Really helped us out in a pinch. Our dogs loved her, she was very understanding, communicative, and clean. I’ll definitely try to rebook with her when needed!”

“Jennifer could not have been more professional with our babies. We are certainly helicopter parents, but she alleviated all concerns sending us daily updates with a lot of pictures. There is no other pet sitter I'd like to have watching our dogs!”

About: I have taken care of pets, walking, feeding, etc. since I was 12 years old. Not just dogs and cats, but also reptiles and amphibians. I am available before school (I’m a high school teacher) 6am - 7 am and after work, depending on location from 5 - 9 pm. I currently do not offer care for pets in my own home, however I am able to spend as much time as needed with your pet to make them comfortable while you are away.
About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 7+ years and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, administering basic care, or simply keeping your pet company, I treat every dog with patience, kindness, and attention. As a college student and Division I athlete, I’m responsible, dependable, and committed to providing a safe, fun, and stress-free experience while you’re away. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to provide dependable care throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This flexibility means I can accommodate last-minute bookings, stick to your pet’s routine, and give them the time, attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special care instructions to ensure they feel secure and relaxed. I maintain a clean, safe environment, closely supervise walks and playtime, and provide regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every pet with the same care, patience, and respect that I would my own.
About: My jack, Russell terrier, Chili passed away in August of 2022. The house feels empty without a dog running around, but I’m not quite ready to be a full-time permanent mom just yet. However, I would love to take care of your loved one in My Home, and the house would not feel so empty. I have a fenced in yard. It’s not very big but plenty of room for a small, medium dog. I make your pet my first priority. I used to work from home and that was great because I was able to be with the pups all day and night. I now will be in the office on most week days. I do not work far from home so if needed, I can pop in at lunchtime. I have a fenced yard. Your fur babies are welcome on my furniture and the bed but if you prefer them to be crated, that is fine too.
About: I've been actively caring for animals for more than 14 years :). Growing up, I regularly pet-sat for family friends, and my family often took in stray cats and litters of kittens, giving me hands-on experience with pets of all ages and personalities. Today, I have three cats of my own and continue to pet sit for friends and family. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs playtime, companionship, a consistent routine, or extra patience and attention, I'm committed to providing loving and reliable care while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I have a full-time job with a very flexible hybrid schedule. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I can work from anywhere, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide care, check-ins, walks, or companionship throughout the day. I currently specialize in occasional bookings, vacation care, and drop-in visits. At this time, I’m not accepting recurring weekly walking schedules. I'm also fully available on weekends. At home, I care for my three cats with my partner, which allows me the flexibility to accommodate pet sitting while ensuring every pet gets the attention and care they deserve. I enjoy spending time with animals and am committed to keeping them happy, comfortable, and on their normal routine while you're away. I provide care that is tailored to each pet’s needs and routine, whether in my home or in a client’s home. In my client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, litter box care, and any specific instructions provided. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, affection, and companionship while their owners are away, along with regular updates for peace of mind. In my own home, pets are cared for in a calm and safe environment. I ensure they are supervised, given a consistent routine, and treated like part of the family. I currently have three cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to create a clean, low-stress space where animals feel secure and cared for.
“Addison did a great job. When we got home from our trip Nala & Heidi seemed very happy and tail wagging dogs. Thank you for keeping our dogs happy and comfortable while we were away”

About: I’ve been working with animals personally and professionally for about 10 years. I can provide your pet with an absolute blast of a sleepover and most of all safe! I treat others pets as well as I treat my own babies. From my experience working with animals I have a very good idea of canine and feline body language in order to provide your pet with a comfortable experience. A long, structured walk with me will leave your pet nice and tired out! I work full time at a vet clinic so I like to use my time on Rover to get some extra exercise and spend some time with some furry friends. My personal dog is not the best at making friends so for now I only do boarding in the pets home. I believe it’s more comfortable for the pet that way as well so they can stick to their routine in their environment. I of course pick up after your pet and will wash food and water bowls daily.

“We were out of town for the weekend, and Miss Ashlyn took wonderful care of Fallon. She followed all of Fallon’s feeding and medication instructions, took her on walks, and kept us updated with messages and photos. It gave us great peace of mind knowing Fallon was in such caring and reliable hands. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup! We highly recommend Miss Ashlyn and would gladly trust her with Fallon again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,616 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Witherbee. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Witherbee walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Witherbee maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Witherbee choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Witherbee. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
