“I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience! Ariel and her lovely family welcomed my dog Manolo as one of their own. For the first time ever, I could actually tell Manolo was sad the next day—it was like he missed Ariel and her family. They even gave him a teddy bear, and he hasn’t stopped cuddling with it since! They are truly heaven-sent. I received daily updates and adorable pictures that gave me peace of mind and made me feel confident that Manolo was safe, loved, and well cared for. I’m so grateful we found them—we will definitely be back!”

“I highly recommend Skarlett for anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. She took care of my dog Kingston for the third time and did a fantastic job. Skarlett was attentive, responsible, and made sure Kingston was happy and comfortable while I was away. I received daily pictures and videos. I'm grateful for her services and will definitely be using her again in the future.”

“The Best. She sent me photos throughout the day, updated me on activities, has an amazing attitude and my doggo came back grinning from ear to ear after a 2 night stay. Destiny will now be my go to for dog care. Can’t recommend enough.”
“Andrea has watched my dog Noble a few times so far this summer. She has been really great. Noble is always well taken care of and I feel comfortable leaving him with her every time. In a short time she has come to love my dog as if her own and I really appreciate that. I look forward to the next time I can give my fur baby a mini-vacation at Andrea's!”

“Charlotte was amazing and we will absolutely use her again! Our older boy had a bunch of different medicines to take at different points throughout the day and she was so organized and great with communication. She even went out to multiple stores to find the right low fat wet food he ran out of! Thank you Charlotte!”

About: What sets me apart from other dog sitters is the personalized care and attention I give to every dog. I treat each pet like a member of my own family, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. I provide plenty of playtime, exercise, updates, and affection, while also following each dog’s unique routine and needs. With my experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities, pet owners can feel confident knowing their furry friend is in a caring and reliable environment. Pet care fits naturally into my daily schedule. As a teacher, I have a structured routine and plenty of experience providing care, supervision, and attention throughout the day. During the summer, I am home full-time, which allows me to dedicate even more time to the pets in my care. This means frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of companionship throughout the day. Because I am home, pets are rarely left alone and can enjoy a safe, comfortable, and attentive environment while their owners are away. I have a fenced yard with a nice size backyard where the dogs can run around and enjoy the weather. And they will be supervised
“Our dog Remy had a wonderful time with Yi Jia and her dogs! We are new to the region and Yi Jia made us feel comfortable by walking us through her property / house where Remy would be staying and that gave us a lot of peace of mind. She sent us a lot of pics of Remy playing with her dogs and kept us informed throughout the stay. Remy had an incredible time with her and the dogs and cannot wait to go back!”

“We were very pleased with Lisaury, Max really enjoyed having her take care of him. We will definitely be calling you again for further pet sitting. We loved the pics and videos you did sent to us. We felt comfortable that Max was in good hands. Thanks so much - great experience!”

“Katie was wonderful for my pup! We did a meet and greet before, which was great. I received daily updates and pictures while I was away. She was very responsive and Barney was comfortable with her. I will definitely be using her again for watching Barney.”

“Rusa and her family were so wonderful to our doggy. Our dog has had anxiety with previous boarders but she became so comfortable with Rusa and her family very quickly. Rusa also gave daily updates with photos, even cleaned our doggy’s eyes, and put booties on her paws when it snowed to protect her from the salt in streets. She was very communicative and trustworthy. Highly recommend.”

Big THANKS to Pamela and Miguel for taking such great care of SkyLee while I was away! It was our first time working together, and I couldn’t be happier with how it went. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
